Death Trooper Build Day ** - **) Trimmed and assembled shins and forearms. Just waiting on extra abs strips in the mail to complete cover strips on forearms. Legs almost complete. Weathering done on shins and boots. Added bandages. Wasn't satisfied. Added huge zombie bite prosthetic. Nice bite out of right calf. Doing the same to forearm. Cut hole. Glued prosthetic bite to fore sale sign bits. Glued and clamped and after last cover strip is added, I will complete weathering. Some of the excess blood will wipe off with weathering to reveal bite a little better.

There's a pizza... There's a pizza coming... I know I know... Freeze up always sounded like pizza to me... This coming from a metal guy whose friends were all punk! Sooo, I got to see all of the greatness like Suicidal Tendencies and GBH, , Social D, Slayer, Metallica, Exploited and even GG Allin... God help me! What a mix, but that last one scarred my memories for a lifetime!

The gray military grade ones are the same I've added to my TK and WIP Death Trooper buckets. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RCLM8Q/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 Works great! -

What to use for filling holes?
YouCantBe Sidious replied to Thrawns_Drycleaner's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Come to think of it, that 3 punch thing would work for the CRL: "Rivets on the left side ... blah blah blah ... equally spaced out along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. They may be painted white, or not. Note:For the original used TK armor, this type of rivets where, bifurcated rivets or split rivet." -

Thanks Jim! That would rock to see a nice troop of zombies. Scary as hell too, I would imagine... Day 4 and 5 - Death Trooper Build - weekdays (so after work = less work time) Added more weathering to biceps and shoulder bells. Gluing in snap plates (I use the strap material instead of ABS) More damage added to bucket: More weathering added to ab, cod, back, etc. Ripped out straps and added suspenders- that's what's clamped and gluing here. More weathering on thighs and bandages added for good taste. A bit more weathering on chest plate. and back Next step will be to trim and build AP legs, belt and forearms. Should be arriving soon!

Snap Plate Material
YouCantBe Sidious replied to Boba_Skywalker3's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Yes - the nylon type strap material with the snaps in it, is my prefered method for snaps, as you showed above in the photos. It holds very well and doesn't crack like ABS has a tendency to if you use thin bits. -
Snap Plate Material

I like using the excess strapping material. It bends and adheres very well to the curves and corners of the armor. -
Build Day 3: Used ATA parts arrived today. Nice and clean! Damage added with exit wound to back. Ripped armor and exposed flesh in chest piece. Thighs with open rips (thighs are being shimmed - mine are a little bit bigger, so I had to rip the back joins apart and I have inner strips gluing now before adding outer strips), biceps with damage and shoulder bells with scratches.
