  1. It's a brand new MTK! Love it! It looks great with the AM kit I got from Mighty Tank!!!
  2. Thanks guys! Fairly certain shins ate correct. I studied the AM shins tutorial like a flight manual... - or at least I hope so... When I get boots and neck seal, can I go ahead and apply for 501st?
  3. Here's my AM build, minus boots and neckseal. That's all I am waiting for. Would like to know if everything looks good or not... Cheers, Steve ---------
  4. Thank you very much! Wasn't really getting what I wanted on the searched! I'll study this tonight and give it ago. My Am kit is trimmed and ready to be strapped, so it's the last thing from me being ready!
  5. Cool! I'll have to do the same... Kit is almost finished!
  6. I've done a lot of searching and it seems that any posts that may be helpful, are missing images. Are there tutorials about attaching the belt and where the rivets and snaps should go (measurements, pics, etc?) that include rivet and snap sizes, etc? Do you drill a hole the size of the snap head (for lack of a better term) through the ab piece to allow the snap to connect to the belt? I've not worked at all with snaps or rivets before and while I have the tools now, I'm still failing a bit on my test bits of material to get it right. With the plastic armor, is it always necessary to use a washer on the far side of the rivet for it to grip? if so, do most hardware stores that carry the rivets also sell washers that match the rivet size? 1/8 rivets are to be used on knee plate? What bout for the holster?
  7. Dan, seeing a Trooper on a white Hyabusa would definitely be an attention getter! That would rule!
  8. Well, this would complete the job, but you'd have to rob a bank or win the lottery to be able to afford the whole kit: ---------
  9. That's a crazy looking ride! I have a solid black Can-Am Spyder and was thinking the Stormtrooper leathers would look killer on that. The guy that custom paints my band's guitars could probably do a stellar helmet paint job to match!!!
  10. $1300 for jacket, pants, boots and gloves, I believe. That's what the other kits are pricing at. You're in Dallas too, right?
  11. Woah! Not sure if this has been posted before, but as a motorcycle rider, this looks cool!----------
  12. Also a great looking kit and closer to what I want to spend, but I'm around 5'10"...
  13. Looks fantastic, but a bit over my range for a 2nd set of armor, that i'm literally going to dremel and make look battle worn. That's why I was asking about a damaged kit. I really don't want to ruin someone's quality hard work.
  14. Please accept my apologies, as I don't in any way mean to offend the purists or any of the armor makers, but: My first project is to build a clean (hopefully 501st approved) set of tk armor, but I'm also interested in building death trooper armor after that. So, my post is to inquire, without being a blatant wtb thread, is there any interest in selling damaged armor that could be used for death trooper kit? What could have been some bad cuts or trims could be spot on for a purposely damaged kit. Just a thought and post to see if I'm not alone in thinking, "one person's mistake could be another's perfection!"...
  15. Here's a pic of me at a rock show in Dallas and a photo of me with the Hanson Brothers from the movie SlapShot on the ice at the AAC in Dallas.
  16. Ha ha! Figured it probably wasn't a good idea... Although, I haven't received my armor yet (it's on order), I have already been asked to officate a Star Wars themed wedding in August in Dallas. That be the limit of my stage work in armor. I did a wedding two Halloweens ago as The Borg.
  17. We're a bit like Static-X meets Pantera meets Rammstein meets Disturbed. http://rivetheadonline.com/ http://www.youtube.com/RIVETHEADTX#g/u http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/rivethead/id61546603 Wonder how difficult it is to play guitar on stage in full Stormtrooper armor?
  18. Cool! Some of those we got via endorsement... Most we paid for... We're trying to get our endorsement back.
  19. Yikes... Thanks for pointing it out... If I didn't have a L and R in my shoes, they'd be on the wrong feet too... he he he
  20. Anti-procrastination Doopy Doos Hasbro Mod post... 1) Started off breaking in my new dremel, hollowing the rail, removing the lower-left T-Track and then using the drill to create the new holes on the barrel. I may have drilled the new holes a bit low and my largest bit wasn't as big as the original holes, but I went ahead with it. 2) Used the dremel to remove the orange tip bit. 3) Scratched off all the unnecessary lettering stuff. 4) Used a small hand saw to cut off the scope 5) Started to use a screwdriver as others had done to remove back of scope, then said, "sod the lot of it" and drilled the daylights out of the back of it. Made it very easy to pop it off. 6) Started gluing bits on. Always good having a surplus of rubber bands. 7) Gluing more bits on. 8) I used a Walgreens pill bottle end (used dremel to trim down) and the popular "roll of tape" bits for the inside of the scope. 9) Comparing unpainted Hasbro Mod to Hyperfirm 10) A regular sized straw will fit over the little LED bulb in the nozzle. I stuck this on here for paint. 11) Hanging up for the paint job in the garage. 12) Drying. Next up, a full armor build! But first, a photo of our guitar collection at http://www.rivetheadonline.com
