  1. Yes, unless you would rather get bad disco boots. In that case, definitely go with bad disco boots!
  2. This is me in Kevin's armor. Still need robes, and I've added suspenders to keep the abs straight:
  3. From the author: Dude, great work. Love it! Thanks for your message and the pictures. Looks amazing. Have a great weekend. Rock on, Joe http://www.scaryparent.blogspot.com/
  4. Photos contain links to a Facebook page that has photos containing molds: https://www.facebook.com/CTMProps
  5. TK8008135 will have to also do a fem trooper kit by default!
  6. Hey Tim! haha! How are ya mate? Be very careful of what dremels and zombie prosthetics might do to your intentions!
  7. Thanks Tony! Dan, I found a lot of pieces by posting in the 501st for sale section. My kit is pieces from several makers. Made it a challenge and fun!
  8. Awesome Dan! I am still waiting on approval or not. It's been about 2 weeks. I know they're backed up a bit, but, hopefully I will hear something soon. Looking forward to reading your build thread and keeping up! Have fun! I did!
  9. I used the military style as posted in the 2nd post for my death trooper. Works great!
  10. Clamps and a set of these magnets and you're set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-Neodymium-Disc-20mm-X-3mm-N48-Magnets-Rare-Earth-Very-Strong-Craft-Models-/280791972823?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4160817bd7 I showed these magnets to my fellow Star Garrison members and they said they were the strongest magnets they have ever seen. They cannot be pulled apart. You have to slide them sideways to separate them. They helped me build both my AM clean TK kit and my Death Trooper Franken-Kit (FX, AP, ATA, etc).
  11. That's awesome! Would have died laughing at that!
  12. Those are some huge gaps between the ears and the helmet. You could park your bike in that!

  14. Final photos - well, almost final... Need to shorten shoulder straps a little bit and add more bandages to lower part of thighs...
  15. Happy Anniversary flexible hand guards!
  16. Exit wound glued inside forearm. Added a bit of weathering, even though it's still clamped and glue needs to be left to cure overnight. Pops out nicely from the rip.
  17. Death Trooper Build Day = Last Day + 1 Drop boxes added: Closed backs with inner boxes. Strap riveted to inner box and inside of belt: Drop box 1: Drop Box 2: Forearm with nice rip. Exit wound glued to for sale sign. Just before being glued inside with E6000. Cover strips have been added to both forearms. Will finish weathering tomorrow night.
  18. Everyone is a little concerned with making their first cut Erik. I think a lot, if not most, of us went into it a bit like you're describing. If you really take your time and research each part, you will do fine. When I built my kit, I studied this forum. Searched for one bit at a time (biceps, then forearms, then shins, etc). Opened 10 or more windows from my search to see how others had put that same armor together. It will be time consuming, but it's fun and the pay off is awesome when you get approved.
  19. On my EIB TK kit, which is AM, I only used E6000 to attach the sniper plate. No problems. No bits falling off. Not on the kit, anyway...
  20. Great job Manuel!
