  1. Congratulations Michael! I look forward to seeing the build thread.
  2. WOW Fantastic job! That is the best one I've seen! Is there a way to work in some fans?
  3. For $45.00 I'll sell you my old FX helmet. Certainly looks better than that.
  4. Hey Walt, Does your guy have any scraps of white ABS he could send me? I need to make some ABS paste to fix a couple of cracks in my armor and the only thing I can find around here is black ABS. I really shouldn't need that much. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  5. That looks just like my first set of armor. With some work, that set can be made into a nice set of armor. I would recommend TM or RS Props for the helmet.
  6. I guess chronologically you would start with the Ep. II clones and then go to Ep. 3,4,5, and 6 to show the evolution of the helmets. The RMQ was just a concept and never made the movies, so the question is: Do you want strictly movie helmets or everything in between? The animated helmets are just that. They are animated versions of the movie helmets. Eventually, they started to look like the clones from Ep. III If I were doing this, I would start with the phase 1 clones from Ep. II and go from there.
  7. I still have all of my figures with weapons. I have the TIE fighter, land speeder, troop transport, Slave 1, snow speeder, a couple of the mini vehicles, speeder bike, Jabba, snow walker, Imperial attack base playset. I had the Death Star, droid factory, Dagobah playset, Mos Eisley cantina and much more to list here, but the years have not been good to them. Lost most of the pieces and eventually they got thrown out by my parents. I never had the Falcon or the X-Wing, but my younger brother did, so it was no problem for me when I wanted them to play with.
  8. At some point you may want to get a balaclava or skull cap to keep the sweat off of your face. I use a balaclava, even with fans, because it also helps keep my mic in place without having to tape it to my face. My $.02
  9. I really like the tape on the bicep. Should I start wearing that on mine? You know, so I can look like the movie troopers
  10. Even when I didn't have an Aker amp, no one said that I didn't sound like a stormtrooper, they just had a harder time hearing me. Definitely go with some sort of amp, it makes a huge difference and you won't have to yell for the people to hear you.
  11. Some of it looks like FX armor. It's not a really great pic, so some of it is hard to identify. I'm sure someone else here will be able to identify more. Personally, I wouldn't bother getting this to practice on. Go ahead and get a good set of armor and take your time building it. There are lots a good build threads here and many knowledgeable folks to answer your questions. Good luck!
  12. Definitely the Tantive IV scene! That's where I first fell in love with the TK armor.
  13. There are several members from the Golden Gate Garrison attending SDCC. Sadly, I am not one of them Not sure if they are in armor though.
