  1. Hi Daniel and welcome to the FISD! I think everyone has hit the nail on the head so far. Also, you can't go wrong with one of Mark's AP kits. It is top notch. Good luck with your build!
  2. And also selling price is going depend on the size the armor was built to.
  3. Hi Jacob and welcome to the FISD! If you are looking for armor parties then I would suggest you sign up on the Garrison Tyranus forums. They will be your home garrison once you are approved. Then they may also give you assistance hands on. Since you live in Stafford I'm assuming you will be near many members south of DC. If you are looking for First Order armor then you should look into KB Props or Jimmiroquai. They seem to be the two reliable first order vendors as of right now. I believe you have to contact them both on facebook. Good luck!
  4. Hi Cheryl and welcome to the FISD! If you have any questions then do not hesitate to ask!
  5. Hi Daniel and welcome to the FISD! Start a WIP here and on the UKG. We would love to see how things are going.
  6. Hello there. So I just had to break out my US calculator and it shows that you are around 5’10” and about 143LBS. Tbh you are in the perfect height range for a TK. Yes maybe a little on the thin side. So based on that I would say TM would be your best bet. And it is a super nice set of armor. AM is more geared toward the larger waist trooper and RT is geared toward the super tall trooper. As far as putting it together, pretty much all sets of armor go together very similar this day and age. All three of those sets are top notch. I just ordered myself a new set of TM and really cannot wait for it to arrive.
  7. Congrats on making it to EIB! Excellent job. It looks like you are pretty close to centurion so I can’t wait to see your app soon!
  8. I think it will ultimately make your costume look better. Btw if you’re looking for latex hand guards then Joseph is the man for you.
  9. Very nice! The collecting game can be fun. It gives you an opportunity to meet a bunch new legion members.
  10. Very nice job Erick. Let’s bring another EIB to the ECG!
  11. Hi Rich. We haven't seen you post in a long time. Welcome back. Great video.
  12. I will say that if you are getting AP armor then you should just get an AP helmet. But MTK is a very nice choice. I've had it for over 5 years now and it has held up extremely well other then some yellowing. And to answer the question about about why MTK isn't on the vetted seller list? Well I can assure you it has nothing to do with customer service and the product Mike delivers. MTK is involved in a convoluted story in regards to the old CAP armor and who had the permission to cast it and yada yada. If it was nowadays? He would be vetted because unfortunately it seems not many people care about recast armor anymore and it's a sad truth.
  13. Hi Michael and welcome to the FISD! You're in good hands here with the advice you've been given. The UKG is one of the finest garrisons in the world.
  14. Thank you for all of your hard work Joseph! As I have said previously, you were the one to first reach out to me in becoming an attache here. I absolutely appreciate that opportunity which in turn assisted me in coming onto one of the best Command Staffs is all of the legion almost 3 years ago. I hope to see you around here more when your life gets back to normal.
  15. Ok everyone. I can confirm that Dave is a stand up guy and is the new vendor for AM armor. The getting started thread was updated a while back. He is the game in town and no one should have any worries. Dave is a former Empire City Garrison member and one of the best. He is currently now in the Florida Garrison and took over the AM sales. He’s top notch and vetted.
  16. Yep I agree with Andrew and Paul on this one. This is pretty much a FOTK who is just riding something. This should be coming to the FISD.
  17. Congrats Erick. You did a great job and made this GMLs job easy.
  18. Man where do I start? When I started being active here back in 2014 Glen already seemed like an expert on things. You were extremely helpful every single day to everyone here. At this point now? Man you are like a senior citizen! To echo everyones comments you truly are the epitome of troopers helping troopers. This forum is very lucky to have you here. And also what is amazing is what was brought up above. You aren't just active here you are active everywhere. So maybe the FISD isn't just lucky to have you. Maybe the entire Legion is lucky to have you. Keep up the amazing work pal. I can't wait to see what the future brings.
  19. Alrighty then! Erick you have done a nice job with your build. I did receive your PM on the ECG forum but I like to do my TK responding here at my real TK home. So listen, I know Glen has been giving you advice all along during your build. Well here he is giving you amazing advice again. I can tell you he is certainly pushing you towards the higher levels of approval and you should no doubt go all of the way. However, I would like to touch on a couple of his points that he made that I would like to see done before you submit to us. Could you address the excess paint on the ab buttons, the excess plastic on the cod and finally the bend in the plastic cover of the belt. For the ab buttons you should be able to put some paint thinner on a q-tip and take some off pretty easily. On the cod just take some sandpaper and sand that off a little more. Finally the belt cover maybe you could use a heat gun or hair dryer to try and bend it a little more on the ends? Specifically the left side. These shouldn't take too much time and then you should be ready to go for our eyes! Honestly have worse looking sets of armor been approved for basic then yours? Absolutely. But you have done such a nice job building yours that I don't to do a disservice to you on these minor fixes that will make your armor really look amazing for basic approval. So that is why I am going to ask you to do them. Finally, I highly encourage you to work on all of Glen's recommendations because after basic approval you should be able to go EIB very shortly soon after with a few tweaks. When you submit, please include Photos of all sides of your helmet, all sides of your E-11, all sides of you dressed in your armor, an "action shot", and then a bucket off photo. I can't wait to see your submission. Thank you for making the GML job easy.
  20. Hi Jason. I'm trying to look into this for you. It looks like you should have all of the permissions. I'll research more and let you know.
  21. Just to go back a minute to the armor white. I just so happened to take my MTK out of my helmet bag earlier today and here is a current photo of it next to my troopermaster helmet which is actually older then the MTK. Now mind you I've done the armor white on this helmet now 3 times and it keeps coming back. The last time I did it was before the last troop and then I put it right back into this bag. So what does this all tell me? I certainly believe it comes down to the type of plastic used. I'm not sure what type of plastic MTK uses. And also I think that once it yellows then the armor white is only a temporary fix. Unless @TK-4510 says differently.
  22. Couldn't agree more with all of this. This buy 1 get 1 offer always makes people want to jump on this armor but it really is no where near as good as our approved armor list and even a good handful of non approved armor sets out there. I'm sorry you spent your money on this junk.
  23. Brian how tall are you? You will need to have some go under for sure in order for it to look right. But of course you have to make it work with your height.
  24. If you wanted to you could just sand down those shoulder bridges a tad. Nothing crazy. What kit are those bridges from? And for the cod, I would round it off some. Just make sure it’s comfortable no matter what you do.
