  1. This AM fit looks pretty well form fitted to your size. I'm impressed with your AM trimming and chest mods. Keep up the good work.
  2. I didn't look too big on your arm, but if you feel it's too big still then trim it. For me, I would have 7.5mm flat bits with a 15mm cover strip over the top. I would measure my arms and forearm diameter to make sure it fits. I don't use a dremmell anywhere on a suit, I use two types of scissors for all my trimming everywhere. The curved lexan modeling scissors for most trimming and some large straight scissors for straight lines such as for these forearm butt joints. You can easily pencil mark and cur off 1mm straight lines or tapers with straight scissors.
  3. Is the wrist hole as small as you can go? Don't forget, when you remove the front return edge, the hole will look even bigger and be bigger. I'm not saying what you have done is wrong, I am saying to get it the best form fitted you can to your body shape.
  4. I'd need to see the whole forearm to comment really. The wrist end needs to be wide enough to get your hand through, while the forearm should also be form fitted to your arm shape. At the elbow end, it should be the same thickness as your arm. You can add a small amount of padding and you can strap the forearm to your bicep to stop it dropping all the way Down to your wrist with your arms straight down.
  5. You can thin out the black vents with gray to save you over painting them. You may have used the wrong blue on the AB buttons. They should be the same colour as your lighter tube stripes. BillHag has posted a colour chart in the tutorials area saying what colors to use and where. Good luck.
  6. I'm looking forward to following your build thread too. I'm glad to see that your using modeling scissors rather than a dremmell.
  7. I've been looking forward to your Armour build thread Si.
  8. Hi Code, all comments given look good. It was right to shorten the front left cover strip from overlapping the ridge. You can either leave the gap or add an shim behind to cover the gap. Yes, bring in the shoulder bell straps. Yes, your holster is a bit far round, the first rivet should have been around 10mm from the end of your ammo belt, however this area is not being policed for centurion. For bonus points, I would trim the excess plastic flashing from above and below your thigh ammo pack and from the sides of your shoulder straps. Nicely form fitted! Your looking good. Well done trooper.
  9. Certainly an impressive set of mods there.
  10. You Tube We met a Model and Actress at a recent show and she was good enough to create this promotional video for us. Good Times! Sci Fi Actress Virginia Hey VH site http://virginiahey.com/category/virginias-blogs/ Facebook http://www.facebook.com/virginia.hey.official You Tube
  11. Excellent. I can so see that you changed from overlapped joints to butt n coverstrips.
  12. Yep. Just below the AB buttons or slightly overlapping is good.
  13. That's what I do. I can't imagine this detail however is regulated. I do it like this as I am right handed. I hold the belt still with my left, Then pull it tight with my right to overlap the still left bit as you have described.
  14. If your at the UKG ball on Saturday or trooping MEM Sunday, I'll look out for you.
  15. Hi Dean You need to find a way to get comfortable with the cod connected. A Ukg co-ordinator running a troop wouldn't let you out like that. You can put padding in the cod for example. I thought it was a Darman Holster, his seem to be the overly long ones.
  16. Looking good there Dean. I don't see anything that would effect your EIB application. As already mentioned, your butt plate to crotch strap needs shortening. Also maybe that holster could be shortened by trimming the excess off below the holstered blasters muzzle.. What make of holster is it please?
  17. Looking good Dan, the ammo belt curve change has made a nice big visual impact.
  18. I knew it could be recovered. Yep that looks good to me, I don't think that you need to move the rivet, that's also in proportion. If you like you can wait for a few more comments The curve looks loads better like that.
  19. Where did your nudge up pics go? They had good close ups of the ammo curve in. I reckon you may be able to mid what you have there. Put pencil lines over what you have. The excess flashing under the bottom of the ammo pack could come off. You can trim the end closer to the rivet, the draw on a rounder curve. Put the pencil lines on, and lets see what you have there to work with..
  20. Hi Rezza, That nudge up looks better and will give your knee more clearance when walking. Holster the weapon, and trim the excess below the muzzle, that would raise the holster length. That elastic belt needs to be swapped out for a more substantial canvas belt for centurion. Are you also considering changing that thigh ammo curve? Mathias and Mr TM posted very recently on how to get a better curve there using a can curve to follow.
  21. This is a very good EIB submission. I think you will sail through. Nicely form fitted. For Centurion I'd look at these areas. Holster length, it extends beyond your thigh length. Your canvas belt, the extra square in it where the holster is attached. Thigh ammo pack curve. I would also nudge the thigh ammo pack upward at your knee area. Good luck Reza.
