  1. Anyone else having trouble seeing the EIB submitted pics? I see only one blurred pic. This is the second application I've seen like this recently. The single action pic was fine. Don't forget, these EIB applications are valuable reference and aspiration pics for all troopers P.s I'm viewing from an iPad
  2. Yeah! I liked this months newsletter too
  3. I'd rather recommend that tape measure clips are not used. You won't be in the spirit of aiming for an EIB or centurion build. I do honestly understand that some people cannot afford to spend loads of money on this hobby but a metal strip to cut down is very cheap and will go a long way to creating a TD that looks like a film TD.
  4. Just noticed that Ian's link is already above. Sorry
  5. Here is the link requested http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/21792-TK--6094-Requesting-ANH-Stunt-EIB-Status%5BAP%5D%5B276%5D
  6. What props do you have to sell? We can easily get you to 5 posts
  7. I agree that the Armour looks look on you. Your waist ammo belt is a touch low. Can you post up a front view picture with your arms down to assess your shoulder bells. And good luck I'm viewing from a phone and you seem to have ticked all the EIB boxes.
  8. Hi Joe, I think Peter, nai-retep is being too modest here. He is a 5'3 trooper and sucessfully converted a JR suit to fit. It's actually for sale and about 1 quarter of the price it cost him to buy. And then he converted an AP to Fit him. Look at peters EIB 5'3 trooper and yes talk to him. Good luck. Phil
  9. I also use the same setup as 89batman. Well.... Mr Rom FX, John May is a UKG trooper!
  10. Make your own like this. 25mm wide, 2mm aluminium strip
  11. Hi Squirt. I'd echo what everyone else has said, Matt's provided a good why to avoid. All I can say to add to this is... Browse to the advanced tactics area, then browse the recent Expert Infantry requests and Centurion requests. These areas are a fantastic roll call of different users in the different Armour brands. You will learn to see the differences and be able to see what suppliers have been used and the height and weight of various troopers in relation to their Armour brands.
  12. Hi Roger Please clear up what helmet type you are referring to. I'm guessing an ESB one but you need to clarify which CRL you are referring to. Thanks.
  13. I think that congratulations are in order.<br />Congrats Trooper
  14. Well done Sarah, this is a very nice Hero ANH EIB submission. You have done a great job of form fitting this armour to suit your height and frame. You look the part and I think have exceeded hitting all the EIB boxes.
  15. Congratulation on attaining your EIB award Trooper.
  16. I know Matt, and I know that it wears you down and eventually you give up While I still have the energy I will try and preach, convert, educate etc just like the lids off arguement from a few months ago and the punters v shown men thread. Have you seen the centurion TK rivets discussion in the Attaché area? It's a fresh tuppence area that you may enjoy jumping on?
  17. I think you guys have a different ethos to trooping as we do in the uk. A stormtrooper doesn't need a wallet or keys as there is no opportunity whilst trooping or need to use either. If you for example received a mobile call whilst trooping as a stormtrooper would you remove your helmet in public to answer it? Do you go shopping whilst trooping as a stormtrooper? How would you eat or drink on costume? In the UK we arrange changing areas, and never get changed in the car park in front of the public. We leave our belongings in safe places. We de kit for lunch or breaks. We never go out of character whilst trooping. Believe it or not, this is exactly the same ethos as demanded by Disney by their costumers. Disney now own Lucasfilm and I fully expect that if you are offered any professional troops that you also learn to adopt the staying in character ethos. I will be at CE2 in Germany this July 2013 and would very much like to compare how other garrisons troop at this event.
  18. No worries. I wrote a long explanation Which maybe useful for newbies.
  19. Hi Jaguar I think you may be getting your abbreviations mixed up. As far as I know, there is no brand of Stormtrooper armour brand called TK. TK is the normal appreciation for an ordinary Stormtrooper. For example TD, is a Sandtrooper. TB is a biker trooper. There are many manufacturers of the TK Stormtrooper kit. Some of the guys here have mentioned a few manufacturers brands for you such as, AP, AM, TM, RS, CFO, JR, SDS, RTmod, ATA & TE2 The different manufacturers charge different amounts for their kit dependant on heritage, detail and accuracy. Most kits are in kit form, and a few offer a build service. Some kits are bigger than others, some are much smaller. The secret is getting the best one to fit your body shape and size. If I were you, I would look through the EIB and Centurion requests. There you will see the armour brands used by various troopers, the additional component brands and their height and body builds. Rather than have someone to tell you which one to have, who hasn't met you or seen your body shape, you will then be in a better position to make an informed decision. You are the perfect height for all the Stormtrooper brands. With a 38" waist you may be looking at the larger brands, But this may depend on other factors such as your calf size, thigh size and chest size if you wish to avoid plastic additional shims and to help you minimise the amount of black under armour showing under your white armour. Good luck Trooper.
  20. A nice EIB application. Your two action shots look great. I like the weathering on both your blasters, Your armour looks well form fitted for you. I'd only recommend adding frown mesh or wearing a balaclava for trooping as your face can be seen through the teeth. Good luck trooper.
  21. Looking good Si. Looking good.
  22. Congratulations Cathie. The UKG EIB count is looking very healthy indeed
