  1. Sweet pics Si. Easy clearance via UKG. Then get your name down on the legoland reserves for may and you'll loose loads of weight walking up and down the big hill
  2. Hi Gonzalo, it would appear that Locitus, the detachment officer, responsible for clearing your request, has already indicated that the tube stripes used on your helmet are out of proportion and thus a bit too large for your helmet. As you already have a smaller set, And a better set that emulates hand painted there, I would say that you are required to change them, but only if you would like your clearance request to be accepted. Regards.
  3. What do you mean by legit? The seller has been honest here. He is saying, hi all.. I'm selling a recasted version of the old FX armour. My armour is cheap and made of sturdy uv stable plastic We don't recommend this armour for new builds or anyone. The shape is really off. The helmet is too big I wouldn't be happy with it You wouldn't be happy with it if you wanted to join the 501st for serious trooping. If you want cheap armour for a personal fun or fancy dress purpose then it may have a place.
  4. The cut in your picture is a little too high. You cannot go above the out dented ridge. Stay around 5mm down from that. Add the Armour cover strip to the rear of that thigh. Add a re enforcement strip to the remaining inside of your cut out. This rear of thigh is a weak spot if you are moving to limits such as kneeling, running or going up or down stairs. If there is a tiny gap left, add abs paste to it. Good luck.
  5. I am sorry for these negative comments in advance. All pictures for your centurion application need to be here in this area and thread. This centurion application is for current scrutiny and long term posterity. As of 00:01hrs on Tuesday 8th January 2013 Every single picture in your application is showing the AB piece overlapping the chest piece (Except for the first one) I can't really see beyond that. They are all, major kit failures. Please armour up correctly, re take your pictures please and re submit. Also, many of the helmet pictures are out of focus, and thus are not allowing the ability to look at the detail. I'm sure that with better pictures, your application will be centurion grade, but we need to see it. Sorry.
  6. Some of the point of building this Armour, is to build a mini TK for my son so he can attend the kid friendly troops. Another part of this build is because I like an enjoying building Armour. It was another challenge and a way to keep busy. The point of the EIB program is to encourage older cleared troopers that are at base CRL to aim for a higher quality build. I support the EIB program and am helping a local FX Armour trooper to change his Armour from an overlap Velcro build to a butt join cover strip build. This old kids set if Armour was very much like that. It's very squared off in style, It was an overlap build, It was put together with Velcro. I am trying to apply my skills on this construction to hit the EIB targets where I can. I have also converted the assembly to snaps and popper construction with E6000. I hope that this build can serve as inspiration to anyone that fancies improving their older Armour. It's pretty cheap and easy to do. I hope that the Armour will end up looking sharper and prouder at the end of the build. The chest piece for example looks so much better now with glued ribbed shoulder straps. To me this has been the best visual improvement. I'm looking forward to taking the clamps and magnets off the thighs and shins to see the difference that the cover strips have made.
  7. Made some mini TD metal clips today. Painted the TD tube grey. And assembled the TD I need to get a pic together of this against a regular sized TD.
  8. And here are the shoulder straps being glued down to the chest plate with our beloved E6000
  9. Thanks Guys. I think the E11 for this project will be a Hasbro Blaster. I don't think I could pull off a scaled pipe build yet. Anyway... Here is the in painted TD. Coming in at 145mm long or just under 6" I plan to make mini TD metal clips using scope rail diameter metal.
  10. Mini TK thermal detonator is scaled down to 40mm tubing rather than the regular 68mm tubing.
  11. Right! Project now back on again. Got my new mini TK shoulder straps today. And mini TD parts
  12. Thumbs up to all your work and build threads Si !
  13. Are those Velcro closed Forearms David?
  14. 68mm pipe diameter and 7.5" length is good, then you can simply bend an approx 30mm wide metal strip, cut in two, roughly 20cm lengths, to become your TD clips. There are many threads and tutorials that you can find on here for help and picture guidance.
  15. There is nothing wrong with cutting out the 5th hole in my opinion if your helmet has a sharp enough pull to warrant it. Many helmets don't have the pull definition and hence a 5th fake tooth is painted into the frown taper. As you know, many of the original film helmets have not been seen up close, but if you look at this genuine and original 1976 picture of he helmets pulled by AA in the 70's, you will see and count that 5th was actually more common than 4 on the stunt helmets... Food for thought eh?
  16. Hi Jamie, I can't find the required Billagram either, but if you look at this pic You are aiming for a female snap in the canvas belt, behind the last ammo box. If you position the snap there, then you have room for your finger to pop in and snap it to your AB plate. Line the belt up, just below your central AB buttons and then mark and add the male corresponding snaps to your AB panel. Nothing is lost.
  17. Are you sure that you cannot add the female snap fasteners to the canvas belt still? Behind the last ammo box of your ammo belt? If you can add the fasteners there, Then you can add the male fasteners to your AB panel after. Try this without taking the belt apart. At the end of the day, taking the belt slightly apart isn't that much of a mission. Good luck trooper.
  18. Well... If you consider attaching it to your AB panel via snap fasteners, then this will help to keep your belt in the right place, and the extra mounts will assist in holding the weight of your holster, and holstered blaster.
  19. Is your belt attached to you AB panel? Or free floating ?
  20. Congrats David. Your not far off Centurion. Go for it!.
  21. Now I can see your pics, I can't really see any EIB problems. You look good in your kit. If you go on for a centurion application you need to change the stud in the bottom of your crotch plate. We need to see the arms up pic of your right side, we need to see where you have put that Han snap. The sniper plate alignment was only a recent new centurion requirement. The way you have it constitutes screen accurate. I would be interested to learn if your blaster needs a few mods also to attain centurion. Good luck trooper.
  22. Have you moved all of your Flickr pics to another folder? I'm looking at your application on the 29th dec 2012 09:07 gmt and none of the pics are showing.
  23. I'm not planning to use these additional mini items. Mini SandTrooper backpack. Diamond knee plate Macro Bin Binoculars. Still loads of adjusting to do. I'm planning to get some mini Jodphur boots and paint them white. All this so he can keep up with his sisters Mini Jango Fett that's on the go too!
