  1. Trim to fit you body so that there are no overlaps. Don't worry about the flaring out yet, You haven't added the AB to kidney joining elastics yet to form your clamshell and thus hold the Armour together.
  2. Your alignment is far better than the originals. I like the way you have followed the natural top ridge shin lines.
  3. Hi Striker, Please correct me if I am wrong. I was informed that the helmet supplied with a full AM kit is the same as the FX helmet. Therefore the AM helmet is oversized and the one that the 501st are trying to depreciate. I do not think that the UKG GML will clear an FX or AM helmet
  4. Hi Ian, Can I just point out that it is superb, that you have re kitted up and submitted new pics to show your completed mods. This is a fantastic example of how the thread should be progressed. Your build looks all in proportion, you can't really tell from your pics that your a 5'4" trooper. You've probably ticked all of the EIB boxes. There are two obstacles ahead for centurion should you wish to go for that. As mark mentioned, one is the Hasbro blaster, and the other is your armour overlap construction. Adding the required side rivets would be easy. Good luck Ian.
  5. Fan of Star Wars, you must be.
  6. 272 as of today. A few more close.
  7. Very nice EIB build Marie. May I ask your height please?
  8. That's the best side shim pic I've seen. You have raised the bar.
  9. Hi there Wes. Nice submission there. Lots of required detail and info. It's nice of you to offer up yourself for comments and criticism. You have to be pretty thick skinned to put your self up for EIB and Centurion. Anyway, over to the matter in hand. This is not yet an EIB matter but your Darman holster is too long an is an area that you could consider addressing in the future. It's nice to see that you have shortened the straps that attach to your canvas belt. Your left shin appears not to be closed to the back as the shape is very wide. That's it from me really. A good looking EIB build requiring a few tweaks. I hope your thighs are easy to adjust and drop a little, and to preserve the longevity of your armour you may need to trimming the return edges of your chest plate at the sides. Good luck trooper.
  10. For the average sized trooper, aim for 15mm on forearms and biceps. On thighs and shins, aim for 20-25mm 30mm is the biggest I have ever seen on legs that kind of works, but you need a bit of height to pull it off.
  11. I personally think your holster is too long. I would shorten the tan straps and shorten the holster from the bottom if you are planning a centurion application.
  12. Here you go Ian. Colour chart reference. Drop box placement. And All diagrams, work and credit due to Billhag TK1650 <img src='http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
  13. Hi Ian, French Blue, Humbrol 14 I believe.. This is a quick, easy and aesthetic change that can be done and on Cathy's if she's done the same I'll send you Bill Haggs diagram on the drop box placement in relation to your belt.
  14. Very nice! The cape and fit looks awesome. With regards to your UKG trooping, you still have a few months to go, If your worried about not hitting your one troop a year target, then have a word with Gary, our CO, You've got to know him, if your making an 89 Batman! Good luck
  15. Undoing E6000 glue is actually quite straight forward. Here are 2. Methods that can work for you. 1. Put your biceps in the freezer for a few hours. The rubberised glue will change state to allow you to prize it carefully apart. 2. For larger items, such as thighs, you can carefully cut through the rubberised glue with a craft knife blade.
  16. 7" overall length is not too small then. I think the aimed for length is actually 7.5" It's just a camera trick then, caused by the gap from the button panel to the end caps, and the distance of the metal clips from the end caps.
  17. Hi Ian, what colour blue have you used on your AB buttons? I believe it should be the same blue as your helmet tube stripes. And I think Marks correct that your drop boxes are a bit far round on you? What size waist do you have?
  18. Hi Ian, You've done we'll to fashion this armour to fit your height and frame. I can't see anything that will affect your EIB application... Good luck Trooper.
  19. Search for Troopermaster. This is Mr TM Paul Then send him a message. You won't go wrong with a TM.
  20. Hi Chewbacca. Welcome to the FISD. I am from the UK Garrison. Where abouts in the UK are you from? What is the actual question that you are asking? You are pretty much the ideal size for lots of Armour. Don't worry about having a small head, this is addressed with the interior padding that you use. My head is small. It's a uk55 motorcycle helmet size. Phil
