  1. I love to read from people playing the empires elite soldiers, and not being able to handle a lightweight gun like a Sterling.
  2. You mean http://wannawanga.com/shop/ And yes, it´s excellent. Both, his stuff and his service.
  3. For Kanans you should search for one of this pellet airpistols (try Umarex, Panther, RO72). Detail of Kanans are slighly different from the Jabba Palace Guard version i´ve build. Not massive changes, but noticeable. ---------- All replicas (resin or printed) i´ve ever seen does not look really accurate.
  4. Found the pics, first one of the smaller ones. And the taper: No idea where on the net i picked them - if it´s yours and you want it deleted, let me know.
  5. The big pin is not rounded at both ends, they were just given a wide taper. The small ones are no slotted screws, but they look the same way, so you can use them.
  6. The SD rolling over the screen, and rolling and rolling and rolling, ......
  7. Aaah, that hurts. I hope it gives you some help at least.
  8. You never pmed/mailed me what and where to paypal you for one with shipping to Germany. Seems i have been forgotten.
  9. No need for, Tino. If i hadn´t that already, and would build it empire themed, i would have shameless copied your idea.
  10. It will never go away, it´s part of the fun.
  11. I have a gunrack already. It´s in the back of my cinema, right next to the door: It´s made for 4 phase pistols and 2 phase rifles. I have just no idea where i could display so many blasters, they would visually dominate each room.
  12. Sure you can. If you have several dozens of blasters in all sizes, but no place to display them. Then you store them all (made from real parts) in boxes in the basement. That´s why i as a blasterguy started making Lightsaber .... easier to display.
  13. Many of the details that are needed for approval are not visible on screen
  14. If it is real - i wouldn´t risk it. But any plastic or rubber should be fine.
  15. That´s funny - the only one i see lower than TFA is the Holiday Special. Maybe the 2 Ewok movies too, but to be honest, not really sure about that.
  16. Paul - i am one of those propguys. And there are many different level of us. Those who build it as the propmaker did on stage with all it´s flaws, those who build it as the propmaker did on stage without all it´s flaws, those who build it as the propmaker would have done it without any time or money limitations, those who build it as it would look as a real part of the SW universe - and a lot of shades in between. Regarding having 3 tiers already .... i know, but the way they divide from each other is something i would all put in the second tier i mentioned. Really screenused would be a completely seperate one - and i assume in low numbers, nothing that would really affect the overall appearance of the legion (and probably not stand out as much as the differencies now do). Having a beginner level would be nice, but maybe not as easy as having a screen accurate tier - but it should be doable, with some goodwill.
  17. I think it would also ease things a lot if the tiers would be totally different - todays system offers tiers that not really resemble any tier "really more accurate" than others, just more prefered. One tier for easy access, lowest possible standards - allowing people to test if they like it enough to spend more money. Maybe limited to the first 2-3 years. One tier for all what is standard now - the "standard trooper". One tier for really screen accurate - if it is proven like on screen, it´s above any discussion. But then each detail has to fit to a certain trooper on screen, not one detail from one and other details from others, no matter if they were on screen, too. Pick one and make that. The biggest grmblfx now is forcing peoples to build up to a certain standard by rules to become member, and after that happened, then accepting people changing stuff to their likings.
  18. Sorry, but that argument didn´t work for me. Even standardized doesn´t mean all have the same stuff or look the same at the same time. New stuff comes and spreads slowly, not everyone gets it immediatly after the testing time. We (airborne) used standard stuff (not the specialized we needed, general stuff like rainprotection) that arrived in other units much later (a few years after me my small brother joined transportation and still got the old stuff). How much more difference would be in a multi million soldier army spread over a whole galaxy. And why should Sandtroopers get a exception that others don´t?
  19. Who? I know River Tam, but no idea who Tam Posla is.
  20. Calm down, guys. Under the line they all are the same - just targets for rebels shooting practice.
  21. Sorry, but each time i hear/read such, i can only disagree. The design was art, but the sculpting was more like "kids with play-doh".
