1. I wonder if those complaining people ever ordered from oversea. I can´t imagine how someone blames Anovos with the import taxes set by their government (and a small fee fedex takes for handling).
2. Don´t blame Anovos, go and blame your government for it´s taxes. My fedex invoice was around 75€ ...... only 12€ for fedex, the rest was fees for the government. On the other hand, without paying fedex those 12€ for handling i would have needed to take a free day off work, drive 40-50Km to our local county customs office to pick the parcel up and pay the fee. Usually that takes around 1-2 hours including waiting time.
3. You were right - a few minutes ago i got a express delivery by DHL. Thanks IB ...... ordered on 07 Jan, shipped on 15 Jan, and delivered on 18 Jan ..... that´s fast.
4. Yesterday i got info that my order has been shipped. In a second mail i got the following notice: I paid full, i got no refund. Not sure what that means, anyone here who knows?
5. According to their website they have no store with displayed stuff, but you can buy and pay directly at their warehouse - so they recommend to check the website and take notices first, so you know whatever you want to see/buy as you can´t make a look and shop walk there.
6. I´m glad if my writeup is helpfull for someone.
7. The bad thing: Yes, it´s not cheap. The good thing: You don´t have to spend all the money from the start. You can split the expense and buy one part after the other. Maybe start with buying and building the helmet first, then later the armor. Followed by shoes and/or undersuit ..... - the blaster is not really needed, as there are countries that don´t allow them in public.
8. Ok, i got it today. Not sure if this helps anyone outside of Germany, but at least they seem to ship to some EU countries. My first impressions ...... i like it, but of course it´s not perfect. It´s great to be able to look through the holes, it adds a lot to the reality of the gun. And nothing is as nice as feeling cold metal. Also the complete real working bidod and it´s rattling when handling the gun add to the realism. As it´s made from metal, it´s heavy enough to "feel" real, but less heavy than a real deac (this 7,0Kg, real one 12,3Kg). But it also makes it a little less comfortable for trooping. Useable for a parade or when not in direct contact within the crowds, maybe not that good when inside the masses - if someone get hit .... will hurt for sure. All the round parts are made from steel tubes (goes from the tip up into the stock), the addons are cast aluminium. Due to it being soft metal it´s doable to carve some missing details if wanted. As mentioned before, it´s missing some of them, but most can be added. On the other hand I assume this would help arguing when being controlled, it´s easily reckognizeable as not real from close distance. Handgrip plates and stock are both made from Alu - on a real one the grip plates are indeed sometimes made from alu so that´s great, no need to get other - but the stock should be Bakelit or wood. Shape is OK, but i would love to find a affordable and still not to shabby Bakelit one. Under the line: Off course it´not a real deac, but as those go for 5 to 7 times the money as this one, the quality is quite nice. It´s also no MGC, i would say it´s on the level of a Denix. I think it´s a great one for the small amount of money. And as i noticed today ..... it seems RS used one of this as the basegun for their own DLT.
9. Funny, they didn´t use a real MG34 to make their mold. I wonder if the original creator /company knows they are making copies for selling.
10. And the fluffy Unicorn is posting again.
11. Or if he likes the Anovos helmet he later might buy the Anovos armor.
12. You can´t order their full armor kits atm. - build suits and helmets are still a go for ordering
13. Wait until the full armor has shipped (probably in the near future), then we all know more about their helmets. Today everything is only guesswork.
14. Ask them for prices, and wait until Anovos starts delivering.

After that you can male theost educated decision.
15. Will do. When i found the shop i first was unsure if i take this or the (better detailed and not that much more expensive) MG42: http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/61431412.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61431412/Products/20002 But i spent way to much hours with the MG42/MG3 while on duty to see it as a SW gun ever, so i went for this MG34 replica.
16. I wanted to buy me a MG34 to make a DLT-19, so i checked the available info of many of the available sources. When i was already convinced to order the Doopydoos MK3, i found a german reenactment/weapons shop by accident while searching for pics and info. And they offered this replica: A little bit simplyfied on the details, only moveable parts are the sights and the real bipod (from MG42/MG3, off course not from a real MG34). But all metal and only 429€. Some of the missing details are easily added while altering it from a MG34 into a DLT-19. http://www.zib-militaria.de/MG-34-mit-Zweibein-Vollmetall-Modell Maybe it helps another EU trooper who wants a metal one without paying around 3000,00€ for a real one. But they ship only within the EU - and not to UK, Netherlands, Poland and Danmark. No idea if they do this due to such being strictly prohibited there, or just cause the paperwork might be to much for them for such a lowpriced deco-gun. I ordered one, will give more info after it arrived.
17. While your argument against a resin helmet is valid to a certain degree, it´s not as exposed to damage as some may think. Remember all those resin blasters that were carried around - due to handling them all the time (when the bucket in on the head) THEY are much more endangered to break as a helmet.
18. I like to see a good build. Esspecially for all the heart, sweat and tears (and sometimes some blood) that were put into it.
19. Künstlerkreide? Nutze ich seit vielen Jahren zum altern von Props, aber vor allem im Modellbau.
20. You can´t imagine how much i second that. I don´t think it will really ever happen, but there is still hope that Anovos will deliver something in that direction. Hope dies last.
21. No, that´s the polite version of my answer. I agree with him that many complaints are baseless, but his arguing is no better than the fan-gibber in those discussions.
22. Sergiu, I´m 5.8 myself - but due to many years workout, i´m not that skinny as i think a trooper should be. That´s why i don´t run around in armour - it wouldn´t look "right" for me, and i wouldn´t want to display a wrong looking trooper to the public. I also don´t understand that some are complaining about "too heavy" helmets, blasters, .... - soldier/trooper wannabees that couldn´t wear stuff already lighter than what todays real soldiers are carrying daily)? That´s just the way i´m ticking, i don´t blame anyone for his body, just for the choosen costume that looks weird on him. And sorry .... for fun, charity, children smile ..... maybe it started that way, but with all those elitist rules i don´t see that anymore. If it would be really just for the fun, you wouldn´t force people to obey those standards. More leeway, more fun, it´s only costuming and noone than the people here (and a handfull collectors) would notice lesser standards - and it wouldn´t say that those who want to be more set accurate couldn´t do it.
23. Sometimes a batch of resin hasn´t mixed properly and "oozes" a long time, sometimes forever. CA needs tigh fitting, as it is gives a strong bond, but is also bad at getting sideway forces (one of the reasons for using pins for attaching parts, the pins shall take the sideway force from the glue). Epoxy is better for that, but it also snaps simetimes if not good reinforced. Additional mechanical reinforcement should be applied if possible.
24. Don´t forget - as long as you don´t only wear this stuff at home, we were forced to look at your armor at events. And a ugly armor, a to small/fat/long trooper takes the fun away for some others (as does a "round" Han Solo, a blonde Leia, .....). It ruins the SW feeling, and brings those moments down to a halloween event. So ..... yeah, even being no part of the club it bothers.
