  1. Did you wash and sand the resin parts before assembling? Epoxy and CA works great with resin, usually.
  2. Off course it makes no sense to start with a EFX and then make it wonky. But - ever thought that there may be people who would prefer to use a EFX as it is, cause they like it´s look? And that those people only buy the ugly not symmetrical, sanitized, whatever helmets cause they are forced to, due to the rules?
  3. OMG - that article is as stupid as those "who would win, the empire or the federation?" fights.
  4. Those people are only paid creators who delivered their work to the owner and lost all rights as soon as they fulfilled their job - their opinion is worth nothing in regard if someone wants to make duplicates.
  5. You are right, for the general public the differencies between all the armors are so minor, most wouldn´t notice them without having the armors next to each other to search for them. Only if you are really interested in them and after you learned about them, you will notice them. For the people here it´s a hobby, most other people didn´t even care and don´t know or will not notice.
  6. Silly is this hobbys behaviour to ignore everything that might interrupt to get what you want, and construct stories and reasons to generate a situation that excuses the possibility to get those. So you say .... when i make copies from RS in a good quality and giving them credit ("This armor is made by using RS as a Master") ...... it would be OK to sell those copies? I don´t believe that. RS is only the most prominent example, that´s why i choose them when argueing. My opinion is the same for each derived and not completely selfmade parts. In fact it has nothing to do with the bumps and warts, thats just another/additional thing.
  7. If they don´t lie and they are really made from original pieces ..... Then they bought those (no matter if legal or on shady ways), what means they own them. But there is no proove that LFL granted them to make copies I see no difference to someone buying a RS suit, owning it due to having paid for it, and then make copies without their approval.
  8. The hyped RS is doing the same, and noone complains.
  9. It´s not that hard, you get used to handle it. Never carried or used a MG34 with it´s 12KG, but we were issued with 11,5KG MG3 (modernized MG42) - sure, lighter is more comfortable, but it´s doable.
  10. Not in everyones opinion. Maybe it´s due to my view that i don´t consider those plastic stuff the same important as props created from real parts, but i want my Anovos (which is for display on a mannequin and not to run around in it) as sanitized as possible. No matter if it´s for display or wearing it, the original trooper movie armor looks as shabby as it was possible to achieve, a blind an drunken monkey with only a knife and a hammer would have probably done a better job. I couldn´t bring myself to accept that pieces of crap, not to wear it and not for display. So i need to have something i can look at without my eyes bleeding. That´s why i hope for Anovos.
  11. Some years ago it happened that LFL lawyers enforced that license stuff here in Germany, and with each bought garage model kit you needed luck to get the paid kit through customs.
  12. Not for the old, but for the new stuff. Really interesting it will be when the new stuff looks as the old one with small differencies - will the custom officers know enough about SW to recognize the difference, or will they just seize everything that looks similar, and you have to prove your stuff is "old stuff"?
  13. NOT for the EU, only in the UK. It´s due to the strange "industrial design" loophole in UK laws. And if Disney starts to enforce their rights, the customs will help them and not let unlicensed stuff into countries. Then those stuff will only be easily available in the UK, at all other countries the buyers would have to fear to loose their money - some orders may go through, others will be seized. Will the makers take the risk, or is it on the buyers account when the stuff is catched and destroyed?
  14. And don´t let´s forget one thing: The situation is now that there is a licensed armor on the market. If someone likes it look or not is a personal decision - but if the buyers of that armor are feeling bad treated by the 501st "group", or if sale numbers are not met due to forcing 501st wannabes to buy other stuff to get approval - those complaints could be brought often enough to Disney so that they decide the 501st and the accompanied armor maker are no longer wanted. And when the mouse decides to hunt them down with all the power they have, for sure it would come to a situation that noone here really wants. Armor makers that only could work in secret, with very low numbers selling, hard to get sa armor - that would be a situation that noone wants and what noone really helps. So i assume it might be better to wait what REALLY is delivered by Anovos, before stirring the stew to much and maybe cause unneccessary things.
  15. There is nothing like "too sharp".
  16. Na, viel Glück - hoffentlich bist du beim auspacken nicht enttäuscht wenn du siehst wie übel die aussehen. Dicht am Original ist in der Hand nunmal nicht das was man im Film auf der Leinwand sah.
  17. What i see on screen, when i´m into the told story in that universe - is a Stormtrooper. A soldier of the galactic empire. When looking at detailed pics of the used props, the magic is gone. Then i only see sloppy made and bad looking plastic parts. The same with fan worn OT armor - from a distance cool looking, but when they come into close range (and are made screen accurate) it only looks like a bad made costume to me. As a prop-collector i KNOW what is accurate ..... but i can´t bring myself to like everything as it was made.
  18. You don´t even understand when he´s making fun about you and others of your kind?
  19. Any shutdowns are not neccessary initialized by Anovos.
  20. I know that, i just don´t like it. To bad the propguys worked so sloppy. It´s not one of my real parts props (but even those i tweak sometimes) - i want my armor not as on set of a imperfect made movie, i want it as it would be in a real galaxy far far away.
  21. Better, when i finally know they have sanitized it enough to my liking.
  22. Komisch - gerade die 2 würde ich nicht kaufen. Sie sind zwar optisch dicht am Original, sehen aber übel aus.
