1. Its a problem with serious bad customer service.

Totally unacceptable, esspecially at their pricerange.
2. Read on the RPF, there is a actual "problem" thread.
3. Well, then it´s not even covered by any agreement - so they are not better related to the rightsowner than a recaster is related to them. I see no problem if they don´t make the expected/hoped profit, for me they are not better than the recaster. Just a different kind of the same old greed.
4. The gentleman agreement with GL was "not for profit", if i remember right. So i would be completly OK with the rightowner hunting everyone down who makes profit in that way.
5. Aaaaaah, no.

If someone builds something on their own, i'm against recasting it.

If anotherone just throws something screenused in rubber to own that piece with brought down the original payment by selling pieces ..... I don't think it's the same.
6. Comic stuff, troopers of a possible future where woman are allowed to troop. Not really canon for me, but the only woman designed armor i remember.
7. If you are in a hurry - i have stored quite some of Marv´s T-track sets and could help out, don´t need them atm. IIRR i have at least: 1 set long enough for Boba Fetts gun, one for the E-11, and for several sabers.
8. Marv´s are a little bit smaller.
9. Usually i´m annoyed by the shipping prices from the US.
10. Well, i always think that, but i would never tell it to the costumer the same way. To them i give positive comments, and keep the other thoughts to myself and my friends - no need to make them feel bad. It´s different than talking in private with fellow builders. "The people" know nothing, they only see one suit is different to the others. And off course one symmetrical between dozens of wonky looks strange - it´s the same as a showroom hotrod on a rat-car event. Of course the fault already started with the bad builds of the SW prop teams, now we are used to their crappy builds. Would they have done their job right, we would be used to correct things and would look to such wonky pieces very different.
11. I am aware, indeed. I´m a prop builder and collector - so i need to copy those crappy builds, with only minor sanitizing of the most disgusting flaws. But i would love it if they would have taken a more "real" approach while building things, instead of just slapping bad parts together. And i always hope they don´t make the same mistakes again, now with much more money than in the old days. I´m no costumer, but if i were ....... to be honest, i would prefer to be seen in a good and believeable looking costume, not in something movie accurate that looks like i have no skills for a proper and symetrical build. "Whow, such a sloppy and wonky build, he probably has 2 left hands, or was in a real hurry" is nothing i would like to hear. That´s the first i always have in mind when seeing those imperfections.
12. I'm glad that they didn't replicated the crap that they used a long time ago. Better new mistakes than the old ones ever and ever again.
13. It never was. The OT had also bad and shabby made props, mixed props that it would be a shame for any c-movie.
14. Not at the moment - beside job, house, and garden i find barely any free time for any of my hobbies. In the last 2 years i only made one prop, the holiday special saber. What do you need? You know that the grill parts are found, and these original kit-parts are super cheap? Or does it has to be all metal?
15. I agree .... for prop collecting. But costumes shall be fun, and if someone would have so much more fun with such small "mistakes" ..... let him have the fun. You know "I" wouldn´t wear my armor if it needs shimming, but i also think there are worse things than some "intermix" (as long as each of that parts is accurateby itself).
16. You can´t control each event. They can do what they want (at most events) and you will never know.
17. With the same argument the real/accurate Sandys need to be banned, too. They also stick out like a sore thumb.
18. I´m more distracted by to tall troopers, or those that look a little bit like the michelin man, than by the much harder to notice canon-differencies.
19. Now, with "Rebels", they do. It´s just that little fanatism here that it´s only OK when wearing a complete Rebels-Stormy suit to allow the pauldrons.
20. Even then, just do it. You can still take it of when you are requested by someone who has the right to give orders. To be honest, here are the above average fanatic guys - most other people (even 501st) just don´t know or don´t care what is important for many here.
21. Thought regarding the Anovos helmet? Kit 150$, build 250$. http://www.anovos.com/collections/the-imperial-collection/products/star-wars-standalone-stormtrooper-helmet-accessory-standard-line-pre-order
22. If any EFX should/will go after the recaster, not the customer. Which would be funny as they are way back in delivering their own customers the ordered goods.
23. Bed members? Whats that?
24. I agree, each one who´s working on plastc for a long time has it´own prefered methods to get things done. Sometimes based and limited on the tools available, sometimes with tools just cause they are available.
