  1. Attaboy! Search and ye shall find. The head of the hex bolts I used were 10mm, and they sat really tight. I just hammered them lightly in place and they sit there snug as a bug.
  2. TM is an excellent choice, and you can do as a few others already have done, get both a TK and a TD ;P Or as TK 4418 in the Nordic Garrison did, got a 1mm TM TK and after a while changed it into a TD, instead of getting an entire new suit. But as soon as you've been bitten by the armor-bug, chances are you'll be getting more than one suit anyway. Welcome to the madness!
  3. Very nice! I was looking at the Snowtrooper armor Bobamaker is working on now, and it looks awesome! A definite contender for a second costume.
  4. I use the iComm plus an Aker amp too, and it works great. I have not tried the Rom/FX though, but I can heartily recommend Jims iComm and Aker amp compo. A great guy, superfast expediting, and a great product
  5. Wow, pinned thread and everything ;-P And I'm a little bit jealous of your Doopydoo build, I had so much fun building mine that I've been wanting to make another blaster ever since, so enjoy your build! And tweak the hell out of it, there's always small stuff to be changed/modded/added for accuracy.
  6. Looks beautiful! I love weathered ANH suits. This is prop replication right here!
  7. Wow, this is an awesome scratchbuild! I really want to do a scratchbuild myself, and this thread really puts gasoline on that fire. Can't wait to see the progress and finished result. BTW, are you going to be adding any sound and/or lights to it?
  8. I bought a holster from him, but I guess that was back in july... Hope he's okay!
  9. Seeing this build makes me want to build another one. Keep it up!
  10. I wouldn't mind the air bubble pits, just drill holes for the wires and glue them in. An alternative would be to fill them with a small amount of putty/plastic filler and sand them afterwards, but I'm not sure if it would even be noticeable. Hard to tell without knowing what it looks like and to what extent they are present. Another tip would be to start your own blaster-buildthread and ask those questions there, that way you could keep it all under one topic, as well as not derailing other buildthreads Good luck!
  11. Looking really good. Must be nice to finally get your EIB :-D Centurion next!
  12. Thanks guys I know there are a few other norwegians basically ready for Centurion too, they just have to send in their applications. With Mathias being the first approved Centurion, he really is a good example and a good help for others building TKs within the Nordic Garrison, and FISD has been an enormous well of information and insipration, and you guys made it easy building a TK suit to Centurion specifications. And last but not least I have to give a big shoutout to Troopermaster for being a superb guy to deal with, and always willing to help me out making this suit the best it can be. He is an awesome asset to this community. A few pics:
  13. Looks great! Been thinking about doing this myself. Any chance you would like to share the templates/measurements?
