  1. Pretty rough cast, you'll be very happy with the Doopydoo's one. :-) You could also build this one to be an ESB E-11 , without the hengstler and powercylinders.
  2. Some small additional tweaks, namely drilling out the holes under the folding stock and the slot on its side, and fitting the magazine with a small "ball" and the writing "OFF ->", as seen on original magazines. Here an original magazine, picture lent from the great site http://sterlingblasterconversion.blogspot.com Here's mine: The holes under the foldingstock: I think these details go a long way to make the blaster look even better, and they're really easy to do and completely free. DO it!
  3. Horaaay! Thanks so much for starting this Paul, and thanks to everyone that has contributed, this has been, and continues to be, an invaluable resource for everything related to Stormtroopers. Hipp hipp!
  4. That looks great. Now shorten the elastics so that the shoulderbells are almost touching the ribbed shoulderstraps, and it will look golden.
  5. Just to have it mentioned: The most accurate and beautiful kits available are made by RS and TM, and you really can't go wrong with either. They can be ordered as kits, or assembled by the sellers for an additional fee. They are gorgeous armors and I highly recommend them both. Oh, and welcome to the boards!
  6. Looking good! Looks like it came straight from the propdepartment in 1976
  7. Nice to see this build coming along, and great attention to detail!
  8. I never get tired of looking at helmetbuilds!
  9. I decided to try something new and simply used my real name.
  10. Very nice! Will be trying my hands on a screen accurate/replica helmetbuild myself soon.
  11. I missed it too! I would have participated for sure
  12. That is really fast shipping! I'm still waiting for my helmet that was shipped over a week and a half ago, either customs has it or it'll be here tomorrow (I hope). Sorry for the little hijack Enjoy the build, and looking forward to seeing the progress.
  13. Very nice! A real folding stock adds a lot to the overall look of the blaster.
  14. Yeah, your ears are pretty "fat", Rolf, but I really admire the attention to detail, and I find it fascinating that we somehow use a lot of time, money and energy to strive to replicate details that were created in a hurry and by mere coincidence. It must be up at the epitome of geekness.
  15. Fellow trooper Aiwei and me from a recent photoshoot
  16. Had nothing but quick responsive interaction with Mark, and my experiences with him are A++ (bought a helmet a while back) But knowing this hobby, things sometimes really drag out and have a tendency to be delayed beyond the intial timeframe. My advice is to be patient and wait for him to get back to you, seeing he has a really great track-record conserning customer service, I can't imagine him suddenly disappearing or becoming unresponsive. It'll work out!
  17. Thanks Ingrid and Luis. Next year will be even more awesome! :-D
