MTK ANH Helmet Build

Personally, I think Satin Black looks best for all black parts, even the blaster. Go for satin black. -

Seems like I'll have to take a few pics of the details on my suit, to show people what I've done and how it should be done I'm in a cabin now, but I'll try to get a lot of pics uploaded on sunday. -
Martin's TM ANH Stunt build [*TM]

Thank you, Jennifer and Christian Today I recieved a package from Paul (Troopermaster), containing a new thigh ammo belt and a few (screen accurate (of course)) split rivets, free of charge. Paul is such an awesome guy and an invaluable asset to this community, I can't be more happy. And he had already bent the belt! One thing I noticed though, is that the new thigh ammo belt is a wee bit smaller than the previous one, and it must be in line with Pauls endless search for screen accuracy. The previous one was 5.1mm across the heigth of the box and the new one was 4.8mm. Left: old, right: new. Yesterday I recieved a bronze-resin casting of an M19 scope by TK4702, it's awesome. It'll be a replacement for the doopydoos M38 scope that came with the E-11 kit. I think I'll make it a project and try to make the M19 as accurate as possible, replacing screws and lenses. -
Cool! A few I haven't seen before. This one could really have been a Rebel Legion event in 2011:

Doopydoos all resin E-11 build
MartinSivertsen replied to MartinSivertsen's topic in General Weapons Discussion
Did it! Except i just made one out of a piece of wood. Took me less time than it would have taken to cut down the screwdriver bit. Comparison: Drilled a hole: Fitted it: Painted it: Voila! -

Hehe, no they are ordinary run-of-the-mill bits. The sacrifice is prophecized! It will be my next mod -
Doopydoos all resin E-11 build
MartinSivertsen replied to MartinSivertsen's topic in General Weapons Discussion
Thank you Travis, I appreciate that And Mathias, I don't know if I want to sacrifice a screwdriver bit for the occasion, or buy a new one. I'll let that stew for a little while and probably end up sacrificing the bit I have. Slim chance that I'll be using it anyway, most screws nowadays are either torx or pozidrive, so I can probably live without a flat head bit -
Doopydoos all resin E-11 build

I just fitted wires between the hengstler and powercylinders on my resin E-11, might as well show a few pictures of it while we wait. PS: There are still lots of things I want to modify/change for accuracys sake, for example putting a pin in the front sight, so it looks more like this: Pictures from the excellent blog: http://sterlingblasterconversion.blogspot.com/ And then I'd like to drill out the holes under the folding stock, as Rolf has done with his resin build. Find a more accurate spring, and modify the rear bolt, so it sits better (it's not as tight as I want it to be). Drill out the scope and fit it with lenses (or something that look like it). I have a M19 scope bronze-resin cast on it's way from TK-4702 in the mail, that might be a nice project to do something like that with. Further down the road I might do a pipe.build or something more accurate. I love tinkering with and modifying the blaster! Well now, pics: -

Suited up and walked to the store to buy toiletpaper yesterday, "celebrate" halloween, and to get a feel for walking in armor out in public and discovering what needs to be fixed and tightened. Interesting to see how little visibility I actually had, as the lenses fogged up due to it being cold outside. Felt myself a little vulnerable, guss it takes a little getting used to. I have a fan incoming in the mail, that's help reduce fogging and heat, as well as a speaker system to sound more convincing when I have to speak. Spent last night installing snaps and elastics in the arms to keep them in place. A LOT more comfortable this way, then having the biceps and forearms slide down while I walk. I also figured I have to install the elastic between the crotch and buttplate as the buttplate was scratching against the top of the thighs as I walked, creating a clacking sound, just waiting on that one splitrivet to get it accurate, hehe. I'm also still waiting to hear from my GML. it's been four days, and the local forums are down due to maintenance. Seeing Karin (Acima) got a clearance in 12 hours got my hopes up, but I know she was lucky and that a waiting period is to be expected. I'm just anxious to finally joining the ranks and start trooping! *pew pew* -
I got some from Troopermaster that I used on my suit. I only used tools I had available; screwdrivers, wrenches and bits, and i hammered them down to spread the "feet". They are spread just enough to be held in place, but not beaten completely flat. I'm curious to know if there is a tool to fasten them too.
