  1. No, there's no technical reason stopping it. It's mostly just about redundancy.
  2. It's still available at it's original location. The only thing that has been removed is the link to it: -------
  3. We can always work on the structure whenever we need to. The new system is however much easier to work with than wikimedia is, so changing things around takes less time. And content wise, the idea is to only have a select few really good tutorials rather than a whole bunch of crappy ones.
  4. It's been added to the tutorial section now (TK information post).
  5. If you use hinges then that's something between you and your GML. But I will not approve that for any FISD specific award. Hinges are visible from the outside. Also, have you considered the potential drawbacks? Secondly, looking the way it should look is not the same as right. That's like saying a knock-off bootleg is as good as the original. We all know it doesn't work like that. Assembling armour the way the originals were assembled have pro's and con's. But it has a lot more pro's than most people think. Those costume builders in the wardrobe department knew what they were doing.
  6. Occasionally. One of his helmets have even been on sale here on FISD.
  7. Sewing on the elastic is the worst part. So fiddly...
  8. Agreed. Thighs all the way up. You don't want to expose your groin to blaster bolts.
  9. Looks like the standard to me. If you want a really good biker helmet you get one from MonCal or Lonewolf.
  10. As far as I know there isn't any yet.
  11. From their FAQ:
  12. Wow, reading those threads brought back some memories.
  13. It was still a recast, just not of RS perhaps. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/imperialfanMFX.htm
  14. I meant, all he needs to do is make such a thread himself if that is what he feels is missing. The info is on the forum, you just need to put it in one spot. But you are of course perfectly right as well. Doing your own research is vital to actually learn anything.
  15. All you need to do is assemble it. No one will stop you.
  16. What says you can't do that with the other method as well? I'm just curious.
  17. Fantastic work there Arturo. But have you considered the UKG's favorite holster attachment method? Pop rivets with a male snap inside the canvas (as if it's a washer) with corresponding female snap on the holster straps? It's more accurate on the outside, but leaves the holster detachable if you want/need to remove it. Either way, it looks great.
  18. Since you have not updated any pictures of your shortened bell straps it's hard for me to tell if there is any major improvement in that department. But I will assume that there is. I'm happy that you repainted your buttons, but do not understand why you got them in the first place. AP's button plate already have the formed dents that only need to be painted, not replaced by inaccurate buttons. That is however nitpicking, that does you little good. But hopefully future builders read this and learn from it. Approved!
  19. The real straps are 2" white elastic.
  20. That's good. Time for you to check out our photo reference gallery then if you haven't already!
  21. So you're saying that just because that person isn't doing it correctly, you want to ignore our years of expertise and repeat the same mistake?
  22. Words are inadequate to describe how cool that would be.
  23. I'm thinking SDS because I think it was cast without the vocoder piece attached, hence the smoothness.
  24. Could be SDS recast.
