  1. If it looks bad in white, it looks bad in black. Just sayin'....
  2. Sounds like he's talking about SDS. Hint: They are not made from the real LFL moulds. SDS is also reverse engineered ROTJ. And a pretty bad one too compared to some of the alternatives.
  3. No they bought the old mould and the master.
  4. You'd think they upgrade the forum software to something that isn't a decade old too...
  5. No worries. We have the same problem every election with new legion members.
  6. Well, If you have an AM belt things are a bit different since they have recesses for the covers. But I haven't seen anyone trim their AM rivet covers despite that, so maybe it will look better on you guys as well.
  7. In order to nominate a candidate for DL and vote for a DL, you must be a member of that Detachment in the Legion database, not just in the Detachment forum. To certify Detachment membership, you must first have an eligible costume covered by that Detachment approved by your GML. Then, do the following: -Go to the "Membership DB" on the Legion forum. The link is in the left menu. -Select "YOUR PROFILE DATA" -Scroll down to "Your Unit Affiliation" -Click "Edit" (If the costume has been approved by your GML, the Detachment you want to join will be listed as "Detachment Affiliation(s): Eligible:" ) -Click "Add." (After that, the Detachment Leader MUST approve your request before it will appear in the Detachment list. ONLY THEN will you be able to participate in Detachment elections. )
  8. Follow the numbers in the second link and you will be fine.
  9. Thanks for the update mate. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  10. I would take off the return on those rivet covers as well to make them sit more flush with the belt. They are protruding a bit much as is. Most people seem to put them on like yours are, so I don't blame you for following their trimming, but they would be wrong. As you can see in the pictures, they are really flat on the originals.
  11. No, all the way to the edge. (top belt)
  12. I like that approach.
  13. Absolutely more like that. And if you still have the possibility, move the rivet covers out so that they are lined up with the belt edge, unlike now.
  14. You cut your belt corners way too large.
  15. No idea there. But I had a look at the forum registration form and that thing is the most complicated sign up I've ever seen.
  16. Here's their website http://www.stargarrison.com/ Did you read this thread? It tells you who are a safe bet to buy from: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/
  17. It never ends, does it? Read here for the whole story: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22826-i-am-not-even-sure-what-to-think-of-this/
  18. Besides, these approximations aren't just taken out of thin air. I imagine a great deal of research went into reaching these numbers. And if you average out the numbers i mentioned of the RS thigh strip (which I'm not 100% sure of, since I can't remember where I read them) you get (19+22)/2 = 20.5 so it's not very far off.
  19. How short are you? To a dwarf you might be really tall!
  20. I doubt that they tried to make them more like ANH since they had the big black frowns and bubble lenses. Since LFL apparently has named the ROTJ-look the "official" look of the stormtroopers that is likely what they tried to follow.
  21. Are you having any suggestions Vern, or are you just ranting?
  22. As far as I know they weren't. New suits were made for the SE scenes that required it (like the additional sandtrooper scenes). There is picture on starwarshelmets from the assembly line. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-TOUR-stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm
  23. Could be promo suits. They look a little too shiny and "fresh" for being 12 year old armour. The game is from 1995. Also, I'm not too sure about those fabric-like shoulder bridges. Didn't screen used ROTJ have plastic?
