Excellent Job!!! Thats a good looking neckseal, and you did a splendid job on the thighs. That is a perfectly executed FX Elite build! My suggestions mirror everyone else's here too. Darker lenses. One thing I'd really like to see tho, is a TE, AP or TE2 on top of that armor. That armor really deserves it. Search your feelings...you know it to be true.

I used some novus 1 and 2 to shine up some spots that I had dulled using magic eraser on my TE2 which is painted.

You want to make sure that the seams on the front of your thighs are put together nice and neat and leave a gap on the back of the thighs. Then you'll need to add shims to the back of the thighs to cover the gap like whats shown in the post above mine.

Sorry to hear about that Steve. I am trying to find a job closer to home. Right now I commute 21 miles each way each day. I think were just pretty much screwed when it comes to gas. I dont see it getting any better for us....ever.

I like that hole punch on the brow edges to prevent splits. Never thought of that before.

I've seen a pic of a dude wearing fem TK armor...does that count? I have a couple of bucket kits on the way and the first one is gonna be a Blackhole Stormy. There'll be pics and a thread I'm sure. Ive been waiting on the kits 4 ever.

The loudest configuration I tried so far is make the wireless jump from the helmet to the toy via a wireless kit. The toy in the chest is pretty loud. If it turns out not to be loud enuff for you, parallel a Radio shack amp with the wal mart toy from the output of the reciever. That would increase your wattage and put another speaker "enclosure" in the chest plate. When the wireless kit arrives I'll make a thread on how to make a Wi-Fi Wally.

Look for a thread called "Deal of the Day" It shows the exact toy including the packaging. Its over by the cheap toys like glow in the dark ceiling stars and stuff.

I tried that this weekend on TKEastbays bucket but something (might have been my doing) happened to the receiver module. I ordered another wireless kit last night so I can get the system up and running.

No kidding. I dont think there is a screen accurate one in existence right now. I attempted this a while back but was unsuccessful.

I you can also build it from the toy section at Wal Mart for a 10th of the price.

The problem you had before was that the rustoleum white was not fully cured before you applied the clear coat. That paint needs to sit dry for at least a week before applying a clear coat to prevent that from happening. Oh on a side note. I had used some Mr.Clean magic erasure to get some scuffs off my helmet painted with the rustoleum and it removed some of the gloss. But I buffed it back out to a gloss using Novus 2 and Novus 1. So Novus works well on the painted helmets as well as ABS.

I can see it now...Mike's gonna get 50 recasted helmets in the mail, each one with a love note attached.

That white trim was available on this board a while back. Most people use white automotive door trim to get that ROTJ edging.
