I'm 5'7 and have AP armor -- I've not trimmed it and just about every part of the armor meets another piece of armor (very little black showing) and It's fairly restrictive, I don't feel like I'm going to trip, I can't move fast enough.

Personally the biggest difference I say is FX vs anything else -- the pieces are just so wonky and distorted. The chest piece is like a freakin cooking apron.

You could do something cool like mount the ptt parts to your fingers so when you touch your index and middle together it caused the come to activate, would not be noticeable at all.

Just keep it away from your painted spots! Though it is really nice if you screwed up on those! If you apply a bit of pressure and do a waxing motion you can use it in place of Novus too to get rid of scratches.

sorta on topic, are there armor makers out there that make ATA in ABS? I have some friends that can't stop drooling over my AP but can't aford to put down the big bucks I did and they've seen FX suit and hate them.

I used one of the decals that my suit came with and put it on a thin piece of rubbery plastic and then cut out a nice little stencil to get the same effect whilst painting.

You can find neodymium magnets at ACE or other hardware stores, and E6000 at hobby stores, around fabrics or beads.

Sounds like you might need shims, I found my AP suit to be tight with size 10 TKboots

Most armor guys sell bad pulls with thin parts for discounts. I personally think that a persons time is worth to much if they know how to do a good job to waist time on doing lesser quality items -- they could, however; make cheap molds and teach some one to do it and whilst teaching sell those suits for discount (because they probably would not be as nice.)

different paints react differently to different types of light. Armor might look fine in sunlight & yellow light but look wrong in more neutral light like florescence , which camera flashes are neutral.
