So I have for the longest time not been able to figure out where to get t-track locally, then it hit me whilst walking around Lowe's. Here's a picture showing the track pre cut, cut but not removed and then removed. So that people can see how to do it them selves. I just did this with an exacto knife along the trim on.

I've been using the elastic that was provided with my AP for my belt but I have some canvas I'm about to transition to. My old elastic belt has a long strip of velcro on both sides that is used to link them. What do you guys use on your authenticate canvas belts?

Putting speakers IN your helmet and not in the ariators is a bit tricky, you will get feedback very very easy.

Ya saw one of these at a vintage convention here in Oklahoma, guy wanted $150, which was a bit much for a clunky toy for me (though it's a great piece of history for collectors) It's the exact same mold that hasbro uses, hasbro just left out the stock.

The funny thing about it is companies that compete in a legal market (selling armor is not technically legal, Lucas arts just doesn't crack down on the makers if they don't openly advertise.) do stuff like this all the time, only through litigation and patent/copyright laws. It's just human nature sadly.

on a scale of 1-10 how hard would it be to take a knife and carve out a squad on the top/side of it? If I spend 60$ vs sub $20 I want to make sure some one can't get to it just as easily.

lol Nice, I enjoy mine. I've stood for 12 hours strait in them and though my feet hurt (my whole body hurt) I had no foot injuries.

I personally would never fly with my armor, I'm actually planning on driving from Oklahoma to Florida for Celebration simply to avoid shipping armor. I bought some cheap (sub $20) tubs from hardware store and drilled 4 1/4th holes in it and use pad locks. Sad thing about any crate you get (be it $5 or $100) if it's made of plastic a knife is going to cut it right open.

Transparency on corners is all foobared now.

If you have an ACE hardware around where you live they have the gloves you need (oddly enough not in their glove area) they run about $8

I know a lot of people use photobucket and all those other sites, but we're starting to see a lot of images being dropped (for misc reasons: not accessed in {x} months, to much bandwidth, etc) The guy that runs imgur.com is a really cool guy that is offering the service for free. It was set up for digg.com & reddit.com users to post things and not have them disappear due to exceeding bandwidth. It's open to anyone on the net to use for their image uploads. He offers the ability to create an account and manage your photos as well as metrics to who is viewing your images.
