  1. Just imagine how puerto rico feels, we won't even let them be a state.
  2. You can find neodymium magnets at ACE or other hardware stores, and E6000 at hobby stores, around fabrics or beads.
  3. Pic of you bending as much as you can atm might help, as well as drawing a line of roughly where your knee is in the armor.
  4. Yes you can, I ran into the only member of the 501st I've ever meet in person and he was a TX (an FX recast at that!)
  5. Sounds like you might need shims, I found my AP suit to be tight with size 10 TKboots
  6. This project is so awesome, I just went blind... my eyes no longer need to take in light! It's OVER YOU WIN!
  7. Thanks so much man! These lenses are going to be collector items now!
  8. Most armor guys sell bad pulls with thin parts for discounts. I personally think that a persons time is worth to much if they know how to do a good job to waist time on doing lesser quality items -- they could, however; make cheap molds and teach some one to do it and whilst teaching sell those suits for discount (because they probably would not be as nice.)
  9. different paints react differently to different types of light. Armor might look fine in sunlight & yellow light but look wrong in more neutral light like florescence , which camera flashes are neutral.
  10. The problem is that people that recast are committing copyright infringement, just like the original casters. Copyright infringement is not the same as stealing (basicly think of it like this, stealing is when you have an apple and some one takes that apple. copyright infringement is when you have an apple and some one else makes an apple (be it copying your apple or not), thus you do not lose your ability to sell your apple, it's just devalued.) Key problem is TE, TE, AP, ATA, all of them are committing copyright infringement -- the people casting from molds made from screen casts more so then others. Everyone is in the wrong technically, we're just really into the pot calling the kettle black around here.
  11. Speakers in your bucket is though, I personaly put mine in my chest, and to get the volume it takes for people to hear me it still feedbacks from time to time.
  12. Answered my own question, Denatured Alcohol -- omg works great.
  13. So i got the "stain" out but then whilst painting my frown I jacked the whoooooole thing up again =(... me and paint, we just shouldn't hang out -- I'm a bad influence... Tried to remove it with some acetone (on the abs, which did not damage it, but did soften it until dried, so i stopped) any one know how to get the "stain" that the enamel has left off?
  14. I used that stupid spray rubberizor and damn near ruined my bucket -- took about 6 hours of applying windex and scrubbing vigerously and there is still a slight tint to the armor... Probably going to end up turning this suit into a TD now, oh well.
  15. Thanks for your hard work Smitty!
  16. I lined them up and made peices to go over the seems, looks more detailed imo.
  17. I swear none of the parts lineup, I don't have a molding iron ... ARG!!!! lol
  18. it is abs, it's an AP suit. no camera atm =( sorry.
  19. True =/ kinda want to go td anyway, but still wanted a storm trooper suit lol.
  20. So I got rubberized spray paint on the outside of my helmet, i wiped it off -- but it's left the white area of the mask dirty looking... what are my options? I think i might just have to paint it...
  21. Grab it for $10 including shipping on ebay. The mic has to be in my mouth for it to work... I had a great idea though (to prevent my saliva from damaging the mic) the diameter of the mic is approximately the same size as the inside diameter of a twisty straw -- I cut one of those down and use it as the piece that goes in my mouth (feels sorta like a vocoder)
  22. Just got my boots and their nice, I wear a 8 1/2 and i got 9s -- fit great! Will definitely get my next pair for a TD suit from these guys.
  23. So my AP is going to be here starting next week, I need to know -- will I need to mold/iron any pieces at all with this kit?
