  1. Yes a couple of dabs of E6000 is all you need to keep the drop box elastic in place. 4 1/2" is just an approximate size you should have no issues with 4" between the straps. Make sure you position the front holster strap between 2cm - 4.5cm away from the plastic belt end.

  2. Hello There fellow Troopers! With the help of a good friend of mine, and 6 months of combined work, we finished my ANH Stunt! It brought tears to my eyes to finally achieve this goal after wanting to be a real stormtrooper for as long as I can remember. Can't wait for my first troop! Troops 1: June 27-30, 2024 -- Rebel Scum Con 2024 in Allen TX

  3. Thank you so much for your reply! I got some Dr Scholl's orthodics this weekend, and some toe-stuffers. Combined with my thick wool socks for my drysuit, they have made the boots comfortable and secure to walk in. They are a tiny bit clunky still as they are too long for my foot, but I feel confident enough to walk in them for some time now, until I can afford to get a custom pair from CrowProps. Thank you so much, again!

  4. My armourer at the UK Garrison (TK29772) has just signed off on my lid! Vent lines painted on (stencils supplied with my kit by Ross @ RWA) and black keylines round tears / traps / ears freehanded. Very happy with how they turned out. Now I can press on with the rest of my build. Going to do the shoulder bells / arm sections next ?

  6. See how it looks once worn and how much (if any) belt overlap you have showing past the detonator, normally any overlap is removed so you may need to trim the velcro.

  7. OK, thanks! Looks like when I'm 2cm away, the far strap overlaps the Velcro just a tad. But since it's the underside, doesn't seem like an issue at all. Never mind the crooked belt cap, it's not glued on yet!

  8. If I may humbly suggest... You've weathered the armor in a very subtle yet nice way. I would call it "moderately weathered." It looks in keeping with the screen used armor. The kama is new and crisp. It's bright and shiny with no weathering. Maybe dirty it up to match? It doesn't looks so much like a match right now. Also, your back plate has a large gap between it and your shirt. Would you be able to close that up a little for a better fit? It would probably be more comfortable that way too. This really does look great though!

  10. Centurion take two: First thing with a rotary tool I sanded down the full circumference of the forearm wrist area. I extra made sure to flatten the areas where the divots are with a metal file The drop boxes were an easy fix but moving the webbing over slightly where the velcro is Here's an uncovered shot of my left thigh with the filled gap I also realized I had some forehead foam that I could remove to help the helmet sit a bit lower on my shoulders

  11. I've used padded insoles in the past to take up a little slack, what has worked well for a really loose pair is the foam mats, usually find these in stores in kids or exercise sections, I find they are a lot thicker and firmer, I had a piece in the base and cut a rectangle to place around the inside of the heel. You could also try adding some in the toe area or even over the top of the foot.

  13. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks. If you are considering EIB or centurion level certification, we are here to help. If you enjoyed putting the armour on, wait till you troop with it and see how much joy it brings to everyone else.

  17. Take it from a girl with lots of thick hair: balaclava. And pull as much back as you can without distorting how the helmet sits on your head. I have no padding in the back of my bucket. I like the "bigger bucket" suggestion. And that's the bottom line, because LadyInWhite said so.

  18. Wear a balaclava, like they did in the movies ----------
