  1. I am waiting on my boots and I have to complete my thermal det. I am also needing to connect my shoulders to my biceps. Few things here and there….

  2. Aaand... Approved! I did jump over some steps regarding going back and forth with the coat weathering, but hey, No one needs to see that slog. I do want to thank my GML Daniel @TheSwede for helping me along the way, it probably would've been a lot harder without him. Thank you too, everybody else that's been watching this build, it's been a year, but it's finally done!

  5. Congrats on your kit, Matt! There's nothing quite like opening up a BBB and taking in that "new armor" aroma, lol. GREAT idea starting your own build thread, and know that we are here to help at every step. If I could add to Glen's advice, it would be to ask as many questions as you want to and post up lots of photos. Posting up pics is especially important when you have an issue, and when in doubt, ask before cutting/gluing. Looking forward to following your progress!

  6. Nothing better than BBB's, looking forward to seeing your build progress, remember research is the key and measure twice and cut once, good luck

  7. Thanks for all the kind words.. . Since we have never done an auction here before we (the Staff) are working on the details/logistics, so it will be a week or so before I can get that up and running.

  8. You did an AMAZING job! You truly are a master at your craft. Thank you for letting me part of your work, and please do not hesitate to contact me in the future for other charity events. It was fun to watch you work through the steps.

  9. I concur with others, this is a beautiful replica, and whoever wins this auction is getting a "built with love" piece of FISD history, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of Joseph for his skill and eye for detail, and those who supplied various parts to make this a reality. JDRF is the detachments legacy charity, and a wonderful cause to support.

  10. Congratulations Joseph, for the final result and for deciding to auction it to raise funds for the JDRF.

  11. Fantastic build Joseph! What a journey to see this through. Extremely honored you asked me to help out. Best of luck with the auction and hoping it raises big bucks for that charity.

  15. Thank you for using my model. I am honored to play a small part in your creation. It’s even more meaningful since you will be raising funds for JDRF, and as we discussed earlier, my 2 year old grandson was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. God bless you for what you do, and good luck with the auction! The blaster looks stunning!

  16. I could not agree more on Bryan's kit. It truly is incredibly detailed. I am actually building one now to auction off for charity (link here). As I mention in my thread Glen linked to above, those wires on the Hengstler counter were not present in any of the E-11s seen onscreen. Looking forward to seeing your build!
