  1. Hey troopers, If you’re new to trooping, or just fancy a look, this video might be right up your street. In this video, I run through how to put on a complete stormtrooper suit, along with tips and tricks along the way. For those aiming for accurate armour, this could be a good resource. The suit of armour I’m using in this video is a combination of super screen accurate as well as troopable. I hope you enjoy the video and find it educational. If you have any questions, please comment below or in the YouTube comments. Best wishes Dan

  3. Really depends on your height and were they will naturally sit on your legs and boots. You will find when moving and walking the shins can come up, this is why many add a loop of elastic with snaps or velcro to the inside of the shins and boots

  5. Decided to see if I could get this to work before I wanted it to work. This was a couple years ago. A friend at the time had this helmet. I believe he mentioned it wasn't 501st accurate, he just had it on display. From what I know now I know it isn't accurate. So I tried it on. Couldn't hardly get my head in and couldn't see much. It took too many years to get the point I'm at now (patiently waiting on that commissioned build and gathering up all the other bits I'm going to need to do this right). Bart

  7. I trimmed the shins and I think they are ready for the front cover strips. Right Left And I tried fitting again. Looks like the previous pic, but with boots on. Feeling like I'm getting close!!! As always, any feedback is appreciated.

  10. It seems so crazy, the thought, of putting on a bunch of plastic then the helmet goes on and it just suddenly seems so right. Bart

  12. Thank you! I was extremely stoked when I got it, and then when I put it all on, it was like a perfect match. Might need some adjustments to my thigh armor, cause I can tell limitations in movement and slight pinching. I've only worn it a couple times around the house, so it might also be a case of me getting used to maneuvering and walking in it.

  17. Bit late now but a tip is to use a coat of white first, that will fill any leak spots before you apply the blue

  18. Indeed, you can find examples of the amor bending in most of the newer movies and streaming series, amazing how much you notice when you get into this costuming and researching hobby. You can never watch them.the same way

  19. So, this is the final visually finished armor. Had to replace the 850AW back with one by Jaime Tripon, as I either was too liberal with cutting mine out. But I'm much more satisfied with look of Jimmy's. Details will follow soon. Next step is modifying the suit for comfort. Some snaps will be replaced by buckles (mainly the shoulder bells) as the keep unplugging. Used a lot of velcro to adjust the fit of the torso and back, gonna cut down on some of that too.
