I’d like to congratulate @TheRascalKing for being awarded the Attache Award. Justin did such a great job stepping up and keeping the pin run organized and running smoothly. The staff has all seen a lot of great comments on social media on how well this went. Thank you Justin we know this is a time consuming task but the staff appreciates all that you have done and continue to do.4 points

Thank you so much! 2 years ago when I decided to start making an armor kit and join the 501st I heard of the Centurion program. This became my goal- to build a costume that met the exacting accuracy requirements. To become one of the elite who pursued the refinement of the armor to the highest standard. My decision to join the 501st came not only from my love of Star Wars but of my love of movies as well. Props and costumes are a way of bringing the fantasy and imagination of film to you, to exist in our reality and be able to be seen- in real life and in arms reach. The ability of a prop or costume to connect to a film I love is a tremendous feeling for me personally, and to see people react to us while we troop is amazing. That sense of wonder, the lilttle bit of uncertainty about being so close to something they know can't be real- yet there it is! Right on front of me! That's Darth Vader! Oh look R2 D2! Not only I heard these exclamatians I have made them as well. Even during my first troop at Pensacon 2021 I was in my armor going "Ooh! Biker scout!". To me the strength of the illusion we provide wth our costumes is strongest when the accuracy and craftsmanship is there in our build. So that has always been my goal from day one of my path here at FISD and the 501st. And although this isn't the costume I started this path with (I'm stil working on it!), I am finally here. I am extremely proud to join the ranks of Centurion and I hope all of my builds inspire fans and my fellow troopers to take it as far as they can.3 points

I'm 6'4" and bizarrely have needed mobility cuts (can't really explain why, just that it's far more comfortable). Don't like that it's left large gaps at the back of my knees, but still managed to pass centurian, so can't be that bad! [emoji1] Important thing with mobility cuts, if you want to go for lvl 2 or 3 they must not extend beyond the raised ridge.3 points

Hi David, I had the same problem. What I did is to apply some hot water bath to bend forward the sniper knee, glued a piece of abs scrap behind each side and use ABS paste to repair. As you said never ending fix with plastic.2 points

I would agree with the latter and to topp it off, the belt isn’t that visible anyway - Troop on2 points

The shipping wasn’t actually too bad. The price wasn’t bad either. Especially with some of the prices that are being asked for the rubber ones. They gave me updates as to when the blaster would be ready, when it was packaged and then when it was shipped. Very nice people. I would trust a rubber blaster better for trooping. A little less weight and you don’t have to worry about dropping and breaking it. I’ve heard that can happen with the little kids pretty often. Lol.2 points

In looking at the above photos of the kit, I can't help but wondering where are the T-tracks?2 points

Oh you like that Imperial Cog stamp, dontcha? hahaha ;P I tried to put care into each package and hope they all continue to arrive safely and expediently. I know merch can be tricky and it TRULY does take a lot of time and care to ensure things go out smoothly, efficiently, and with good communication and documentation, but I was happy to give back to this community that has given me so much - ESPECIALLY to those of you that have gone above and beyond by EARNING those Centurion awards. I've done it (several times now!) and know how much work is involved, so I am proud of each and every one of you and hope you wear the pins with that same amount of pride!1 point

Hi Shawn, and THANK YOU for your submission for ANH Centurion! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of CENTURION Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. -Just one thing to mention Shawn... Maybe you can check how the forearms are strapped to the biceps. You can see how the cover strips line up nicely on the left arm, but not so good on the right. Twisting it down about half an inch and dropping it down a little would line them up as well as even out the gaps. Reference images -We noticed that the button covers on your ABS belt are a different color than the rest of the belt, which means that you changed them out at some point to meet the guidelines. BUT, as Anovos is pretty much no longer in business and that replacement parts for that particular armor are no longer in production we understand why you did that, so we understand and appreciate the fact that you took the time to replace them!. Reference images And that's it Shawn, you did it...Outstanding job!!!. Thank you for your hard work to making your armor much closer to screen accurate. Welcome to the Centurion ranks!!!1 point

Here are some picture of the Quest Design E11 as promised. I can always add more if anyone would like another angle. In the last two I laid the Fieldmarshal BlasterFactory E11 next to it for size reference. I think it’s a very well done resin E11. Probably one of the best I’ve seen but there are some issues. One thing I was disappointed by was the lack of writing on the M38. Something I was very much looking forward to whiting out. I also bought an upgrade kit from Tino, that has a lot of metal parts and screws you can add to an resin E11 to make it more realistic. I still have yet to add those pieces. And like Joe said, the Hengstler does need to be raised up a bit. But overall, it’s honestly pretty well done. Very clean seams, and overall very clean piece. I definitely got my money’s worth. It was a good purchase, in my humble opinion1 point

This has been a never ending fix for me right here any longer lasting solutions out there?1 point
-
Adam, so good to hear from you! My trooping buddy! It's funny as I had the opposite problem in the beginning. My hand guards were almost sand trooper beige and my armor looked whiter by comparison. You can see this in the pics we took together up above the Golden Gate Bridge. This bugged my OCD to end until I figured out a very simple solution. When I polish my Chelsea boots, I also give the hand guards a light coat of white shoe polish. It worked wonders. I continue to "polish" my handguards to this day. https://imgur.com/a/FcNyJ2e1 point

A well deserved and well earned accolade for Justin! Doing a merch run of any sort is not the easiest of tasks, but he stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park!1 point

The anti fog worked. Didn't fog one time. And I was inside and outside in I believe it was 84 degrees for 5 hours straight. I give it a thumbs up.1 point

Imperial Attache Outstanding Achievement Award In order to recognize those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty as members of this program, the FISD would like to announce a new accolade: The Attached Outstanding Achievement Award ribbon, (as seen above) will be bestowed to those who consistently exemplify the meaning of Imperial Attaché, which will be added above their EIB or Centurion badge. This distinction will go to those who are not only consistently assisting present Troopers but helping future Troopers on their white armor journey as well. This includes greeting first-time posters, offering advice and guidance, assisting with EIB and Centurion levels and staying active on the FISD and/or their local boards***.
