  1. Separated the calves (with a butter knife), now in their respective sides. We will be gluing them back tomorrow. We do have to do some minor sanding and cutting to make them fit. Hopefully they will look much better once done!

  3. Hi Carsten, and THANKS for your EI submission! Always fantastic to see another HWT headed for EI, but we need you to touch up a couple of things and add some updated photos brother. No need to get suited up! As per the CRL for Level 2: 1. "Pauldron is lightly scuffed (battle-worn)..." A few dark smudges here and there would make it look a lot better. 2. "Pack is slightly scuffed and battle worn, but not heavily weathered or dirty". I used some silver paint and a "dry-brush" to do mine (second pic) if that helps. Also, please add some close-up views of the following: 1. Side view of the pauldron. 2. A clear, close-up view of the back of the thigh bottoms. As soon as we get those, Sha Sha or myself can get started. Many thanks, and I look forward to seeing them!!!

  7. Hey all, I originally posted this on Spec Ops as I figured it'd fall over there based on the trooper description and weaponry, but I got referred to here because of the white armor. I'm pretty sure here is the right area to post this for research... Anyways, while playing Fallen Order, the Heavy Assault Stormtrooper caught my eye. Taken from the description: "The Heavy Assault Troopers are specialized infantry serving the Galactic Empire on the front lines of war. They are primarily trained to defend combat zones as support squads to Stormtroopers patrols. They are highly proficient with the Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon, which fires off steady rapid, long-range bursts capable of inflicting heavy damage, and shielded by a low emitter energy ray. " If anybody else has seen someone building one of these and can link me a build thread to look at it, please share it with me. But, I figured I'd get your opinions. I'm interested in building one as I already have all the soft goods for a TK and have a commissioned Z-6 being finished any day now. The armor looks to be ROTJ style, while the helmet MIGHT(?) be ESB style. Thanks for looking, hope to hear your opinions on this.

  10. I followed the video of the link and had no problem... Just one thing... I didn't use the abs paste to cover the joint. I used a two-component putty(apoxi sculpture, but another brand can work the same) which is much better for sanding and modeling. Then I painted it and it looks great ...You can see the final appearance in my centurion application...

  12. Hey Dixon! Thanks for your kind words about my build thread. I am glad it's been of help to you. With my first TK (stunt), I sized every part down to fit, torso and all. Pretty much all of the armor pieces were cut down to shrink everything proportionally. That included lots of hot water baths to reshape the armor. For my second TK (Hero), my goal was to do as little as possible to the suit (emulating a Luke Hero) and still end up with a good fit. I trimmed only the chest and back to accommodate my height, and pretty much left the width and height of the torso alone- maybe trimming about 5mm from the sides of the ab and kidney (can't recall exactly). I sized all the limb pieces somewhat larger (width) so that they would look proportionally correct to the larger torso. I am floating in the torso for sure (no padding at all), but it doesn't look too big on me. Here's a pic of me (Hero suit) and the boss at my most recent troop in mid-February (I miss trooping... ): Something I discovered during my various builds where I need to size down armor for height and/or width: focusing on sizing the torso first will be a huge help for you to figure out how to size your arms. And by torso, I mean getting the fit of the chest/ab/back/kidney/butt locked in. Once your torso fits well, then it's super easy to dial in the limbs of the armor. When you do limbs first, figuring out how to size things turns into more of a guessing game. Just my 2 credits on this, though! Congrats on your TM kit, and good luck on your build!

  26. Thanks Dan! I went and joined stormtrooper armory on FB as well, now there'll be no escaping TK knowledge, regardless of what social media I'm browsing! I keep hearing around about a coveted Troopermaster tutorial on his FB but I can't seem to find it. Do you what I'm talking about? I apologize for the real basic question incoming but as I have zero costuming experience up to this point I'm afraid this thread will be littered with them; when making cuts for sizing on pieces like the biceps and forearms, am I only to make cuts on one side? So, for example I wanted to take off 5 mm on the biceps, would I take off 2.5 mm on edge of each bicep?
