I suppose this isn't really a spoiler to the show, so... The overwhelming number of suits worn were Anovos, with a few RS, RT-MOD, ATA, AP, and others mixed in. Not all were ANH-S and there was one EARLY GF kit, but I don't believe there were technically any FX. Some 501st extras were very likely cast because they had worked with LFL on other projects previously, not for the quality, accuracy, or fit of their armor - we had some Centurions and some who probably wouldn't pass approval if they tried to submit again. LFL chose. I'm very confident we will be visible in our scene, but obviously unsure if we will be close enough/in focus enough for anyone here to tell the difference in armor or blasters, let alone the average fan. There is also some info we CAN'T share that will make the variation in armor make a little more sense once the show is out. Until then, it's all kinda moot. I doubt there will be anything that warrants a change to any existing CRL or creation of a new one. The studio suits are the same "Anthology"-style OT TK suits we've seen and I'm sure will continue to see in any modern depictions from that era... Also, a friendly reminder to everyone posting in here - there is stuff we can share, and stuff we shouldn't/can't. Be careful when asking or answering questions! The Mouse has large ears.2 points

I've done the t-tracks. It wasn't easy and I stressed a lot. I used hot water and pliers to curve them. It works pretty good. I followed mainly two tutorials : http://www.stormtrooperblaster.com/e11-blaster-t-track-installation.html I've glued the t-tracks with cynolate glue. I shoud have used hot glue because cyanolate vapors made white stains on the paint between the t-tracks. I had to retouch paint. The result looks good. For a first time, I'm not disappointed. Not perfect but accurate. Will do better with the next blaster !1 point

Hi Ivaylo Just letting you know that I´m starting the review1 point

I'll send him a message it most certainly can't hurt, and you are right it is probably best to go with parts from the same maker1 point

TM would be my choice for a Hero, I didn't know RS did one. Price is in a similar ball park as RS iirc but you're best bet is to ask him. He's also @troopermaster on here if you would prefer that to Facebook. Ideally source all parts from the same maker. All suits are a bit different and so have a "look" which will work best as a matched set. The colour of the ABS will vary a little too so ordering from one maker at the same time will reduce this as well.1 point

Hi Dan and thank you as well for the good anf fast answer! I will most certainly give it a look! I have been following Troopermaster's facebook page and it looks really good. I have been a little cautious since it is a facebook page and not a website, I don't know why though, plenty of websites are dubious. I'm sure it is trustworthy enough if you are recommending it so highly! Do you per chance know the price range? I do still have some questions regarding sizes. As Chris explained, the helmets are one size fits all, but I cannot tell if that goes for the armor as well. When I look at RS Propmasters' website there is not size option.1 point

Tony, bear with me as I explain my setup and new thoughts.Maybe you can assist? I got my expandable tubing that i will use basically as interior helmet decoration (the silver tubes going from “real TK helmet” earphones to mouth filter system) I also redid the setup inside, moving components around, adding some padding to the top of the helmet which i didn’t have before. I haven’t tried the full comms yet for the feedback issue. It is still fairly tight in the helmet. I also wanted to research better ways to work my satellite speaker. I have it mounted in my chest plate, but then I have to run a cable under my neck seal to my helmet. This is cord is then a pain to tuck in. I also have corded earbuds going from hearing assist to my ears. To get the helmet on the ear bud cord needs to be long, and requires tucking into my neck seal. This is all a pain and requires a helper every time i put my helmet on. I’d like to make me more self sufficient. SO, off I went to the forums, and lo and behold, I discovered wireless mic’s. Please don’t laugh... I never even considered them. I’m a slightly technical guy but sometimes slow on the draw... I saw someone’s post where they basically mounted the amp, iComm voice modulator, satellite speaker and Bluetooth mic receiver in the chest. They used a blue tooth mic in the helmet. That would basically leave just the hearing assist system, it’s battery pack, fans and their power cells in my helmet, freeing up a TON of space. Is there a way to have the following: Wireless earbuds going to hearing assist Wireless mic broadcasting to chest plate AND the Hovi helmet speakers. Are there certain specifications for this blue tooth mic? I understand the chest speaker may be sufficient for noisy environments, but I like the ide of having a back up with the Hovi’s Thanks for any help or suggestions.1 point

I have my BBB full of Walt's finest ready to go (after I've finished another project ahead of it in the queue). This is a great reference and I'm sure I'll be coming back to it a lot. Thanks for taking the time to write it.1 point

You may find the details are not as crisp as other armor. At the end of the day as others have said recasting is frowned upon but it's entirely up to you if you wish to purchase, personally I would not just to save a few $'s, you are basically endorsing their recasting efforts. As will all costume approvals it ultimately comes down to a decision of your GML (garrison membership liaison) perhaps reach out to him/her. Going through a vetted seller you are assured of a quality product and most importantly delivery1 point

Good reminder Rascal. At this point we are only able to comment on the things that were already released by the panel at Celebration and the new trailer.1 point

TKs in Rogue one and Solo are a new in design so warrant their own CRL. Mando TKs were a mixed bag of old school OTTK so no changes there. FX were generation 1 fan sculped and lacked accuracy in almost every way possible. They served their purpose and are being phased out, let's not go back lol1 point

I wanted the bolt to look like steel. I’ve masked the parts in contact with the main tube and used the dark grey hammered paint, spraying paint and immediately removing it with a cloth. - picture 1 : aluminum bolt - picture 2 : masking and paint - picture 3- 4 : the result. I've also "painted" the M38 scope text (let it snow, let it snooooow ...)1 point

Like Glen said, the Bells don’t really need return edge so just a few mm will do fine. You want them to sit as close to your chest plate as possible when wearing your kit. Looks like you are in great hands with these guys, so keep up the good work and look forward to seeing you approved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

You don't need to leave very much return edge, if at all. With the thighs try to make sure your cuts/joins are as straight as possible, you want little to know gap where the cover strips won't cover, using a block of wood with sandpaper wrapped around can be useful. When ever in doubt check the reference gallery1 point

There will be a mix on the Mandalorian. Keep in mind that this is actually a TV series not a feature film. So Dave F. and John F. didn't have the huge budget per episode but wanted to make the most of what they had to work with to give us the best they could. At the last minuet John F. wanted "a lot more troopers" for a few scenes and they only way they could make it happen cheap and fast was to call on the 501st so that is why we got to be there. I am sure they used other cost saving methods like buying off the shelf props like the Spike buckets as their prop department was working hard also. Either way, it's going to be awesome with some really cool new characters and costumes. Exciting times! I know at Celebration they told us this was going to be a much grittier and harder series than classic SW. In their words it was going to be like the old western gunslinger movies but set in SW universe.1 point

So all major construction finally done! I hate the R1 belt btw. Have to glue on 3 more of the belt face boxes. Going to trim the top of the thighs just a bit to get them to sit a little better and improve movement. I had a hard time getting the thighs to close because I couldnt quite reach. Aloso going to improve the shoulder strap connections and add obe or two elastic straps from the ab to the inside if the chest to keep it from pulling up. All in all I think Im pretty much done.
