  1. OMG! Listen to me, people... Here in the FISD you'll get all kind of help from friendly people, not only refering to armor or weapons of choice, but also to get used to forums apps. Troopers helping troopers, isn't it? Thanks a lot Dracotrooper, just finished work and there's a lot of stuff at home waiting to become kind of E11 blaster. Enviado desde mi SM-T365 mediante Tapatalk

  2. What I do to avoid double posting using Tapatalk, is to close the application after every new post. This refreshes it for new content. Good idea to make sure you have a strong connection to the internet as well. For editing posts, like adding pictures and more text, I do the following: Click on the post ID, click the edit icon, click the 'edit' word on the middle of the screen. Here, you can add more pictures like you normally do with the button below. As for adding text, make sure you add it between the lines of code as shown. Simply click on the airplane to update. You see the revision right away, if not, restart tapatalk. Hope this works for you! Sent from my SM-G390W using Tapatalk

  3. Open to thoughts and comments. Please note there's almost nothing glued/fixed in place yet, everything is dry mounted to show how it looks. Be patient with me, totally new to Tapatalk, don't know how to add comments between pics. Hope you like it. TIA. Enviado desde mi SM-T365 mediante Tapatalk

  4. Fourth try writing the same, I hope this time it works flawlessly. If not, I'll post without ( by now the damnit )Tapatalk.... Cursing mode OFF. I seriously doubt if writing the long post version or the short one, I've make both in the last three hours... Second scratchbuild try, first a Sandtrooper helmet (waiting for answers for where to post about it) and now working in a E11 ANH blaster. Very very low budget (you can say none for this build), very slow work/updates (mainly after work time) but high times working on it with my limited modelling/painting skills. I'm really trying to not purchase any part of this build, at least not anything previously built/ cast/ 3D All of you will know about the materials used in this build, 40 mm OD PVC pipe / tube, plasticard/polystyrene (Evergreen), plywood, aluminum and several other "ghetto resources" that I'll try to show you very soon. I'm really scared about pictures, I won't like to lost my pics and words again. First picture, fuxxxng Tapatalk suddenly stops and started cursing in languages I don't even speak... I think I'll post this, and I'd try to upload pics later. Siesta time's coming, near 40°C just now here in Spain... Thanks. Sent from my SM-T365 using Tapatalk

  6. Thano you Cableguy. It seems curious, I've read your build and the one from Dracotrooper ( amongst many many others ) several times for reference. Enviado desde mi SM-G360F mediante Tapatalk

  9. Thanks Dracotrooper! It's been a long time since I didn't feel that OCD thinking, lately it's aggravating. My summer holidays start soon, really don't know if I'll be able to dedicate full time work days on it, you builders know what I mean... I'd have to take with me tools, materials and all stuff, besides a pair of RC cars (more stuff), fishing rods (even more stuff) and I almost forgot several suitcases. I know for sure that if I don't take some stuff with me I'll be missing it, though sometimes you carry stuff that you even don't touch at all. Well see... Enviado desde mi SM-G360F mediante Tapatalk

  10. Aunion - you've made some real precision pieces here, allot of what you've done so far looks really good! It's always a treat to see all those vent holes on a pipe build! Sent from my SM-G390W using Tapatalk

  15. Loving the "can do" attitude, Jeff! You certainly can remove a lot of it (or most of it). Again, not required, though. Reference images

  17. Hey Dan! I'll get that fixed soon Also, I've had my first (inofficial) troop yesterday, joined by my favourite Bridge Crew member out there We had a blast and tons of people wanted pictures already, sooooooooo cool! So one thing came to the other and after many GG members told me the costume was looking pretty good we decided to take the approval pictures and send them in: Really looking forward to their reply, and in the meantime I'll eliminate all the smaller things that i came across during the troop, so this will take up some more time, and once I'm approved I'll be working on the EIB and Centurion requirements and application. So I took another big step yesterday and today, but after basic approval, I would be very happy if you guys could keep on supporting me until the very finish which is Centurion Thanks for reading as always, Freddy

  18. Woo hoo made it! Tear Paint: I see that now looking more closely at the helmet in front of me. I thought I freehanded up to the top "ridge". Easy fix Handguards: I got plenty of white latex paint left by the previous home owners so heres another easy fix and plus painting them is screen accurate! Dropboxes: Yea i'll probably just end up cutting and glueing in place. KIST "Keep It Simple Trooper" Bells: I knew there was a left right, but forgot the clue as to what it was. Bells are swapped and labeled now for piece of mind. I know Walt ended up making bigger bells. I think I probably trimmed a bit much....I might look into seeing if anyone that ordered the replacement bells wants to get rid of there untrimmed originals. Right Side Ab Gap: I'm working on making that strapping tighter, currently the snap pops out sometimes so looking at fixing that, might switch from elastic to nylon and change the snap. Or I'll sign up for a marathon Teeth: I got just the stuff. Backplate: Wow I can remove that much?!? Probably the same on the other side to? Very interesting.... Thank you again to everyone! This has been such a great experience and I am honored to be # 845 EIB! Keep on Trooping!

  19. That wouldn't be a problem at all. Honestly, that's what a lot of people do with overseas merch - at least that was my experience when people did patches. Easier to ship 20 or 30 to one address in say Germany and then they can just distribute them much more cost effectively locally. I have an idea of coin numbers, but am still working to get patch numbers. They took a vacation lately so I'm hoping to square this away this week for everyone, e.g. what is left.

  20. After the blaster it was time for the back pack and I decidedafter the primer that it was good enough, so after some paint and clear coating it was ready for the detailing, there were no decals for the "trim" that goes all around the sides so that`s painted and no small squares pattern that goes on the handle/grip of the lid so I have to figure that that out...all in all pretty happy with it and still waiting on magnets for the lid so that`s only taped in the position I want it. It`s wery light so I´m sure magnets would hold it just fine on the back plate but as I´m going to have the vest I will use those straps to also secure the pack...not decided how yet, have some ideas though but need some armor done to be able to test those ideas

  21. Main adjustment for her was the thigh armor...had to cut about 2 inches off of each and re do the return edges. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  22. Am I getting a reputation here, lol?! This should be an easy pass for basic, so any suggestions below (along with Randy's mention of the drop boxes and belt) will pertain to level 3. Dan is spot on about the helmet frown and small ab button plate. .. those will need to be fixed before you reach level 3. Side note: I did the exact same thing with both my small and large ab button plates on my first build. I would also suggest trimming down the return edge at the top your left thigh. I can't tell from the photo, but your TD plate may be a bit low. The O ring should be facing more toward the top. Reference image Lastly, the frown mesh will need to be replaced. Anovos is still using the fine mesh, and it needs to be wider, as in Dan's reference photo above. Fantastic job on that armor, Giles, and once you get basic approval I look forward to seeing your EI submission!
