  4. Evening all. Only small progress this evening. Removed the resin screws (lumps) from the muzzle, drilled new holes and installed the hex screws. If anyone is thinking, "which Dremel tools would be good for this project", this one is great. :-) Lumps before: Fun times. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. The undersuit did help with the gap and I also shortened the strap for the "Han-snap "woop woop" And the holster is in place.

  6. Thanks, Darren! Yeah I will definitely play around with that, thanks for the tip! The piece as it is seems a little on the flimsy side, so I'll definitely be beefing it up some. Nice touch with the leather!

  7. Perfect alignment on that belt, Sha Sha! I know it was a pain in the butt (plate), but the extra effort was well worth it. Also, GREAT job on that ABS belt trimming! Lots of folks leave a bit too much on the top and bottom, but you nailed it. We lost a LOT of awesome build threads here because of the Photobucket fiasco, and I am glad to see we have one that goes into so much detail. Keep up the fantastic work!!

  8. Great bucket mod, Taylor! The MTK pauldron is awesome. Consider making it a little larger using a plastic sign. I did that recently and also used black leather for a lux finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  10. Just bought that same top as well as the pants. It's covered so shouldn't be an issue. The important thing is that the seams are black stitching. The original top I ordered showed black stitching but when it arrived, it was a light gray and wasn't going to cut it.

  12. Hello All! Fresh hot-off-the-press TK/Future HWT from Miami, FL. Went to my first armor party this past weekend. I picked up a bunch of excellent tips and met a great bunch of fellow troopers! I'll be doing my first troop this Saturday at Marlins Baseball Stadium Star Wars night. I'm really looking forward to it! Thanks to this forum and to you guys for helping me get here. I've really enjoyed the journey thus far! TK99427

  13. Sure thing! Credit should really be given to Peter on this one. He donated the armor, shipped it to me for free, and then asked that it be given away or donated.

  14. Good call, trooper. The sort of integrity is the very reason that the FN Armor failed miserably here.

  15. Well, that took me long enough to get around to it. I finally sold the armor and donated the funds to charity. I sold it for $250 since I didn't want someone to worry about all the recast hooplah and also be able to replace parts if they need. I donated 103% of the funds to Maggie's Place, a really neat charity based in Phoenix who does a lot of work temporarily housing pregnant mothers who need help. http://maggiesplace.org.
