Turrican
Can you post pics with flic-flac, please??
Madmartigan
This is with unmodified abdomen plate Ā Holy Shnikes, Paul! Why would you even need a modified ab plate? You can just bend the cod up to relieve yourself and let it snap back into place afterwards!! Ā Bravo! lol
shabad[501st]
Drool... Ā Paul that is one enticing sneak peek.

TK5144[TK]
Paul, Is that one of the Cargo Strap belts? Armor looks NICE! Ā Will the helmet also be made out of similarly thin material, or will it continue to be the same thickness?
troopermaster
Yes, that's one of Wyatts cargo belts that I bleached. Looks good dunnit Ā I haven't tried forming a helmet yet with the 1mm or 1.5mm for that matter. I have some 1mm PP to test as I would like to have the helmet made from a differnt plastic to the armour. PP and HDPE are virtually the same, paint is a nightmare sticking to it too. Darksaber212[TK]
Awesome! So looking forward to this armor. Nice!

ObiHahn[TK]
Wow. That really is flexible. I gotta admit, owning PT armor, that it's definitely not THAT flexible. You know, "almost touching your toes" flexible like in the pic...that's insane! I at least am not able to do this in my PT. Great stuff! No longer having to rely on other people picking up stuff you dropped whilst trooping, or having trouble putting your boots on AFTER putting on the armor. Ā So really, really bending this, to the point where other materials will crack, doesn't even leave any marks on the material? That is really really jaw-droppingly impressive. naatsirhc[TK]
Wow! Paul this is amazing. I guess I had better start saving now.
Blaze
I know how much all the other plastic out there costs.. um...how much will this super flexible TM armor cost sans helmet? (PM please) Ā ....what's the hyper-flexible helmet going to look like? Ā I think this never got answered; will this flexible-plastic change color over time? Ā ...how does it all compare in accuracy to the other kits out there?
troopermaster
The only part that really flexes when you bend down is the cod piece, simply because this is a one piece abdomen plate. It DOES leave a crease mark on the strip of the cod plate, but that's it, no cracks. I have no idea how long it will withstand that kind of abuse, though I will make another ab plate and do some testing on it. Every other part will flex all day long, it's just because of the adbomen shape that this is the only part leaves a slight crease. Ā I already said that I haven't formed a helmet yet, so I can't say what they look like. All plastics are prone to colour changes over the years as they break down. I am not a plastic specialist but, I do know that most (if not all) plastics yellow over time. How long it takes to start showing any signs of yellowing is anyone's guess. ObiHahn[TK]
Okay, only slight marks where other material will crack. Still pretty darn impressive!
Sgt Steve
Well I do like the very "gloss" look it has. But 1) will it be...well cheap feeling to it. Like it some kid rap's your leg will it feel/look mushy. 2) The big thing is will it yellow. you say painting it is all but out so will UV brake down the white of the plastic. If I walk around for long I need a cane so lite armour is nice to me but not thin, so 1.5mm would be nicer I guess. How do you "strap" this together? How heat resistant is it/ Will some one smoking a cig near you outside set it off if he brushes against you? (will it burn E/Z?) And last the Big question.....How much?????????? troopermaster
All I can say is treat this armour as you would any other ABS kit. It's rigid plastic, not rubber. It just bends without cracking. It's not flimsy, it gives you armour bites, what more could you ask for? Ā It's ten times better than ANY other HIPS or Styrene armour out there for durability and accuracy, so if's that's not enough for you then look elsewhere.
