  1. I agree with that. If it's just going to be a display piece, for me it's fine not to do it. There are a lot of things I do to my armor because I will be wearing it that I wouldn't do if it was just going to sit on a mannequin and look pretty.
  2. This is completely correct. The only reason I was able to do mine in 2 weeks is because it was the third time I was building a TK.
  3. I never clean my armor. I had not had one problem with any smell or anything. The key is to just let it air dry completely before closing the lid on your bin. Typically when I get home from a troop, I open the bin up for an entire day or whenever I remember to close it. The undersuit I wash after each use.
  4. Two weeks. I had shot for a week, but got caught up with some other things. I'm pretty sure I could do one in a day assuming I had enough help.
  5. I always do it, and it does serve a purpose. It blocks a lot of light from coming up into your helmet and therefore letting children see straight up into your helmet and see your face.
  6. Nice job!! Can you post some pictures without the blaster in the way and also, side/rear shots?
  7. With my old HIPS bucket, I just globbed some bondo on top of them then drilled them out after they solidified.
  8. Depends on what you like. If you're going uber accurate, they are like the ones in firelbadejedi's post, but if you just want strength and don't want to search high and lo for the perfect ones, since they wont be showing anyway, I just use Line 24 snaps. You can find them at Tandy, however I get mine off eBay. You can save a bundle getting it from there. I usually buy packs of 100-200.
  9. You can get away with doing that, if you like. Same thing, tbh. Either way they get covered up by the belt. Just remember to make sure you use some strong adhesive, as the ab snaps really need to be secure or they WILL come off.
  10. I've done it a bunch of times and it's always awesome.
  11. I got rid of all of my mic stuff. It's a PITA and I never talk when I'm in my armor anyway.
  12. I can see Boba has good taste.
  13. Can't see those pics at work, but I'll check em out in a bit. That's also the design I used. I think I even pinned it after that. Also, I thought about bending it, might have to try that out. Thanks guys.
  14. Hey guys. So I've had my ESB blaster built for quite some time and I'm still having problems with one part; the scope rail. How did you guys secure it at the front where it goes into the hole? I tried adding CA to the part that touches the top of the pipe, but any time I bang it or drop it accidentally it pops right out and I have to glue it again. Ideas?
  15. At minimum you want to wash the inside of your bucket off with soap and water. If you touch it you'll feel a greasy residue, that's what you want to remove. Remember the inside isn't that important so if it chips or comes off in a couple of places it's not a big deal. I never prime the inside because it really doesn't see too much action aside from my face going in it. You just want to get the majority of the inside dark so the little tykes can't see your face when they look up at you.
  16. I think one of the reasons that the holster is worn on the left is because of the mag. If you try and holster the gun on your right side the mag hits your leg. If you turn it around then the gun is backwards. I have an ESB which is holstered on the right, and removing the gun while it's backwards is very awkward.
  17. Don't be afraid to make strips to the size that YOU need. I'm a lot bigger than the OG TKs so a few of my strips ended up having to be HUGE. That being said, you should probably even them out and make sure the largest ones are in the back or bottom parts where they are less visible. When done right, the difference in size is barely noticeable.
  18. I use glue. Mine never stays. EVER. Just a drop of CA here and there
  19. Bah humbug. Though, at least it wasn't the Devils.
  20. Max size is 600x150 px I believe. Not sure on a file size restriction. Are you trying to upload it or host it offsite? If you send me a link to it, I can help you out. PM me.
  21. Who's dashrazor?
