  1. I think one of the reasons that the holster is worn on the left is because of the mag. If you try and holster the gun on your right side the mag hits your leg. If you turn it around then the gun is backwards. I have an ESB which is holstered on the right, and removing the gun while it's backwards is very awkward.
  2. Don't be afraid to make strips to the size that YOU need. I'm a lot bigger than the OG TKs so a few of my strips ended up having to be HUGE. That being said, you should probably even them out and make sure the largest ones are in the back or bottom parts where they are less visible. When done right, the difference in size is barely noticeable.
  3. I use glue. Mine never stays. EVER. Just a drop of CA here and there
  4. Bah humbug. Though, at least it wasn't the Devils.
  5. Max size is 600x150 px I believe. Not sure on a file size restriction. Are you trying to upload it or host it offsite? If you send me a link to it, I can help you out. PM me.

    SDCC 2012

Didn't Comic Con just become a huge corporate event that's been taken over by the film studios etc? Doesn't seem like something I'd like to go to from what I hear even if I wasn't thousands of miles away.
  7. There's your problem. Squirrel fans are always going to be louder than normal fans. You'll have to decide between being able to hear people or keeping the air on your face. I personally only use fans to cut down on fogging. I use two small cpu fans directly in front of my mouth blowing outward. They are pretty quiet so I don't have any of the same problems. I had a squirrel fan in there once and it was so loud I couldn't hear anyone no matter how close I got.
  8. I went a head and merged both of the topics you posted 4 minutes apart from each other in different forums.
  9. Also, I have a Willrow Hood group going. I started planning it since September. Anyone with an orange jumpsuit and an ice cream maker is welcome. http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=70693
  10. You might be able to remedy that by adding a couple of snaps. Just a thought.
  11. Yeah, I'd say if you're going with anything other than TM or RS, you should just go with snaps and straps.
  12. I would suggest dyeing as well. I can pretty much guarantee that even TK boots has to order a minimum from whoever their supplier/manufacturer is.
  13. Skit list is up. http://www.501st.com...p=832966#832966 I put in my suggestion for "Prisoner Escort", like the one we did last year. Maybe we can get more troopers and more rebels to make this one bigger than last time.
  14. Ouch that sucks. At least now you'll make sure every snap works before gluing it in.
  15. Very nice stuff. I have been wanting to do this for a while as well. I might actually get around to it so that Olga can have one for C6. I like the idea of a tiny TK running around with a gun that's her size. I have a set of templates I found somewhere, which ones are you using and do you think they're decent?
  16. Thanks for posting this Eric. Maybe you can make a tutorial thread about gluing handguards to gloves, nomex or otherwise.
  17. Since when is posting in the Off Topic forum off topic?
  18. I doubt it would work. The tops of Nomex gloves are fabric. Fabric glue would be okay, but won't adhere to the hand guards that well, and crazy glue is great for the hand guards but doesn't work at all on fabric.
  19. Be careful using a magic eraser to remove any marks. It is like a fine grit of sand paper and WILL remove the shine from your armor. (if that's something you care about)
