  1. I'm with Panda on this...same sequence for me...... I saw ANH in 1977, my father too me to see it... it blew me away..... and to see the movie on one of those very old massive screens was just incredible... Gungans... one word... Exterminate.....
  2. Splendid is the word I will use to describe this.... This is again one of the better Hasbro DoopyDoos mods i've seen todate.... Love the scope..... that is a excellent modifcation... And yes, this makes we wanna redo my Hasbro E-11.... One critical comment..... Stick some more weathering on it man....
  3. Nice strapping system there Panda, I had no idea you made these for folks.....That's a good service you provide there buddy.... Dennis, just go steady buddy and don't rush the strapping, when you strap everything together for the first time.... walk around a bit and then look in the mirror to see if the armour hangs correctly... it's more than likely you will have to make adjustments.... You may find for example that you want your shoulder bells tighter to your neck, so make a shorter shoulder to shoulder strap. My bells are actually snap fitted to my harness and I have an additional chest strap across the front of my harness to keep it's shape and firmness.... Look fwd to the pics......
  4. I'm 5'9 and have AP... fit's like a glove.... having said that TM, ATA will also be fine as you kinda trim the armour to your size (so-to-spk). The orginal suits were designed for troopers around the 5'10" to 5'11" mark, so you won't have a problem with any of them... If you are of a smaller build then AP will dandy...
  5. Wait for FBJ to answer this poll..... lol Tom your list ain't big enough for his collection.... lol Oh have Voted...
  6. Gentlemen You will not have a problem with gluing the tabs to the armour even if the metal of the snap is not flush with the tab. If you use E6000, it will srpead evenly and give you a solid bond perhaps 1-2mm thick. If you use a plastic weld glue just have at least a cm on either side of the metal snap and weld this. My tabs/snaps are not flush and my tabs are stuck solid to the armour...
  7. Well done no.95..... a long struggle, but it's worth it yes...
  8. Classic.... What is it, but whenever there is a TM build thread (regardless who does it), we all seem to follow it like lemmings..
  9. Goodness Rolf, you are moving so fast.... If I had been doing this suit, it would have taken at least a month or two to put together.... lol So when you get your DL's what are you gonna do with the TM? hehe
  10. Only 6 to go, this is fantastic news..... So I gather we will have to have a EIB party when we reach 100 then?:) Better buy some beer and some good old Scottish single malt whiskey.... :) (2010 will be the year I will go EIB with my TM suit.... so watch this space....)
  11. Well, i'm gonna rip my mesh out now.... at least air flow will be improved...
  12. Hey Ferg, Congrats on the TM armour buddy.... wow that's what i call a cool Xmas pressie... getting a set of TM armour on Xmas eve.... and hand delivered by the master himself.... All the best with the build and don't forget to ask questions and ask for help if you need it... Also there are quite a few UKG guys in your nrck of the woods who can give you a helping hand buddy.... (that is should you need it...) And remember the mantra..... "Cutting less is better"......
  13. Here's my E-11 thread (sorry for the hijack Dennis... ) http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=9207
  14. Paul There's a guy in the UK who makes these... His name is Justin from itchynutsdesign.... His on the boards here.....
  15. Generally speaking there is no angle as such, if you have trim lines follow the trim lines and if you have to cut more off then cut off in parallel to the trim lines... As a general rule of thumb, just make sure that the chest plate is 90degress i.e. straight cut down. This is because when you wear the chest plate, it will naturally fall outwards at an angle anyway..... and then you just use black elastic/straps to fix it to the OII plate..... "simples" Also the gap will vary depending upon your physique... At minimum a 2inch gap is fine.... Just look at the various build threads and make a judgement call.....
  16. Javier, no problem for the fast feedback bro, that's what we are here to do... "troopers helping troopers...", the point about the mesh is that we don't want the public to see through..... If you wear a black balaclava, then it's not really an issue... but you'll find black mesh or even a piece of black material should be acceptable...(ok it's not an EIB requirement as such, but nonetheless a standard practice, well it is in the UKG)
  17. That's one tall hairy walking carpet there.... That's actually a great short video.... a wookie in it's natural habitat, or one of them at least.....looks the biz buddy...
  18. Hi Javier Laways good to see another AP build brother....lovely helmet... That build seems very good however, a few questions/pointers.. 1. Are your shoulder bridges velcroed? As they do not look straight to me especially on the front chest plate. 2. Are you using elastic on your shoulder bells to draw them in over your bicep? I can't see any from your pics. 3. Advise to put a black elastic to connect your OII plate with the chest plate to pull the two pieces together.. 4. How is the side piece of white ABS attached to make it seamless? Is this a permenant attacvhement or have you used velcro or snaps as it looks a bit off to me... 5. Stick your helmet on a lamp so that we can see both of the lenses from the front, also is there a black mesh behind the teeth? 6. The back of the thighs seem off... I can see you have used velcro, you need to line them up properly before you can submitt for EIB. 7. E-11 - we need to see the D-ring on the blaster 8. You also need to show a picture of your right profile side.. That's all from me.... hope that helps Shiv
  19. Aaron, you should mail that pic of yours to him.... classic dude, classic.., I wonder if he'd be able to pick himself out of that line up? mmmmm tough call eh?
  20. Goodness me, that's the first time i've noticed "Billy-no-Mates", how could they put him into an important shot with semi-finished armour..... I'll have to look at the DVD again... hehe Peter, never knew FBJ used gaffer tape on his armour..... Erm, does he have TK handcuffs too...
  21. Just noticed the supplied finishing strips too.... that's mighty decent of the master to do that too.... Still can't get over how good that face plate looks.... simply awesome... and the shoulder bells look amazing... love the pinching detail and the spine detail.....
  22. Did I miss something, but where are his TK boots.....? Can't wait to see his E-11 build.....
