  1. Well guys, it's gonna be 2010 in 6hrs and 13mins from now (here in the UK).... so Happy new 2010 my TK brothers from a wet and cold UK .... Here's to a great year for trooping in 2010...... Pezza, first official Pic of 2010.... awesome buddy....
  2. We saw the actual prototype at one of our troops a couple of months ago, it's a very impressive kit.... In terms of cost, well that's not finalised..... it's a matter of waiting buddy and i'm sure as soon as we know in the UK, the rest of the community will know too....
  3. Brilliant....... lol, erm that's would make a great 'stun' prop for E-11's lol..... Now all we need is to project that stun blast about 20 feet infront.... hehe
  4. Watch this space... there will be a new ROMFX V3 out in 2010.... it's designed primarily for Vader but will later have TK sounds too..... it's gonna be a killer! Have already seen/heard the prototype and all I can say is... Oh my God!
  5. I thought long and hard about whether I should cut my COD too but decided against it....... I prefer the rigidness of one piece of armour, it just feels more right to me... and if you gotta take a leak well so be it..... off comes the armour during a break time... nuff said.... lol
  6. Merry Xmas buddy and yes, PM in the post my friend...
  7. Paul You will find many of the UKG guys use a Nokia car speaker attached to their belt or better still under the chest plate.... The sound will be louder than mics placed inside hovis..... However, I prefer to have my Mics in my Hovis as it just adds to the realism of sound coming from the trooper's lid as opposed to the speaker on the belt.... 6 of one half a dozen of the other..... BTW, PM if you want a set of Hovi speakers as I have a spare set going dirt cheap...
  8. Just doesn't look right.... too much bloat in the faceplate for my liking...... ekkkk
  9. I was watching IMPS relentless last night.. what a laugh that was... For those who have not seen it, IMPS stands for "Imperial Military Personnel Stories...." Basicially it's a fan made starwars film, well 2 actually.... the quality of the CGI is outstanding, the costumes... ok not very 501st clearable (check out the hovis and you'll know what I mean..... lol).... check it out guys... it's a blast... Oh Merry Xmas and happy holidays to everyone..... Shiv
  10. As an ANH stunt trooper, eventhough "leftie" is preferred option due to the position of the holster, I prefer to hold my baby in my right hand... Also I find, when in your right hand, no punter can grab the Mag or pull on the power coils... I do have to think twice when I holster the blaster as by instinct I go for the right side....
  11. OMG, now that's an impressive mod Chris.... do tell this story.... How difficult was it to drill out the cocking lever slot? If anyone has a battered MR E-11, i'd be willing to do this mod......
  12. Also, the aftersales service from doopydoos is excellent..... There're a great company to deal with..... Shiv
  13. Fantastic quality... Look at Obihans thread here, you will see the doopydoos DLT-19.... before and after he weathered it..... simply awesome dude.. Treat yourself to one... you won't regret it....
  14. Awesome pic Jerad..... there's some about a GF suit which IMHO which just makes it special... Whether i'd troop in one or shove it on a display manequinn is another matter... However, i'd sure like to get my mits on a complete suit.....
  15. will do boss..... You realise Mark I blame you for all this lid collecting business....
  16. Well, i've gone and done it and added this to my collection literally 60 seconds ago.....
  17. Bruce Ahoy there matey.... welcome buddy, you're nearly there... Firstly if you are getting a UKG resin blaster then it will no doubt be fine...... Secondly, I have one of Justin's E-11's too (itchynuts) and they are the bee's knee's of blasters...... the only thing i'll say is that the blaster has a few mods on it which may not be EIB acceptable... (noteably the scope reticules) i'll post pics on the blaster section tomorrow....(I could be wrong though.....) Shiv
  18. Hey Darren, my AP lid is very snug.... lol, I actually have another one too which i'm experimenting with, so that will become my main trooping bucket... eventually... Hey Doug, (pleasure sharing these pics with the community).... I thought the guys here would appreciate this GF lid....and let's face it, the GF lid is rare and a work of art for some and not for others.... Incidently, one of the UKG guys has a GF lid and has made it into a Sandy.... when I saw it and tried it on, I thought, I want one of those..... let's face it.... it's part of the SW history in one way shape or form (always wanted to say that line.... lol)
  19. Yes, the hovi's are shockingly bad on this and I have a set of Keith's tips lying around somewhere...., i just need to know if this bucket is bigger than my AP bucket? And whether i'd troop in it or have it on display is another matter...
  20. Chaps Been told this is a follano lid.... i'm thinking on getting my grubby mits on it and wanted to ask what you think... (of the lid that is and not my mits... ) ----------- Look at how asymmetrical it is...
  21. I'll be posting my weathered DLT-19 soon....
  22. Nice gun there Bruce, welcome to the BFG club buddy.... Regarding the washer, i cut 2 pieces of an innertube of a bike, works like a charm and gives you a nice tight snug fit.... (mmm that just don't sound right does it..... lol). Derek, regarding the stock, leave it black colour as this is what was Cannon in the films, but it's 6 of one half a dozen of the other, as a brown stock will still get cleared...... Derek, when I carry my DLT-19 on troops, my E-11 is always holstered... you never know if you'll run out of ammo mate.... pack as much firepower as you can handle... hehe
  23. That's looking real good so far.... Keep the pics coming and lets us see some more close-ups....
