  1. Paul I presume that this armour should be more comfortable to wear, not from just a bending over point of view but where normal ABS armour rubs or is tight will this kinda flex to accomodate? Also, I expect the adeshive used to put it together must not include plastic weld of any kind due to the thickness of the armour...? I expect sales of E6000 to go up now... well asoon as you make the armour available that it...
  2. Guess, i'm second on the list then..... Impressive, I can't believe you can bend that chest plate so much, also I expect the armour will be more comfortable to wear.... Splendid stuff Paul, simply splendid... shiv
  3. Hey Ian,.... the smell does grow on your buddy.... Stick in some odour eaters.... works like a charm... hehe
  4. I was told by my GML that such mods are not allowed to be trooped with. If you do mod you blaster, then you can't fire it up... and for exampe the LEDS on the blaster core must be covered with a counter.... Nothing stoping you running around in your back garden with an all bells and whistles E-11 though...
  5. Andy here's a tip for the boots... I have some velcro attached to the top of my boots and to the inside of my shins, thus when I put on my shins they stick to the top of the boot.. perfect.. works like a charm..
  6. Thanks Guys, I will follow Pete's advice, but good to know that Halford Appliance White is the one to use just in case... T-Cut all the way, then when it's done T-Cut again, then polish up (not wit T-Cut) but with Novus 1. FBJ, a picture would be lost as it's only a small area that is affected and to tell you the truth, one will not be able to tell on the photo anyway... however thanks for your advice guys.... This place Rocks!
  7. I keep hearing good things about NOVUS, but it's not easy to get here in the UK. However, my local Harley Davidson shop stocks it, yippee, so i'm off later to get some... Will get the No.1, No.2 and No.3.... Maybe my original idea of painting a 1/2cm strip is overkill..... lol
  8. It's not anything major, what i've done is to pull apart the forearms which were poly welded together, and sanded down the inner forearms. I'm then gonna use the ANH strip method of joining them, but I will still have about 1/2 strip of sanded forearm showing. I guess I can just clear lacquer that part and maybe painting is not required..... any thoughts?
  9. Terry, your armour is in good hands buddy... Was good meeting you.... All the best in your new adventures as a TB... cheers Shiv aka 'the man with the golden gun'
  10. Guys Have a question, what white paint does one need to fix any mishaps on AP armour. More specifically, this is a question for our UK troopers as I guess the stuff in the UK may be different from a branding point of view than the US.... Basically, it's gotta be white with that ABS shine to it.... I guess it will be enamel based and then polish up with Novus or something similar? Thanks Shiv
  11. It's a clearance point... as the original films did not have the so called electronics and LED light propogation effects... Even the Hasbro blaster, we are not allowd to use the electronics whilst on a troop.... Is this different for other 501 legions around the globe? Still want a blastercore though.... lol
  12. Hey Guys, going back on topic, has anyone managed to pull out the voice amp in the clone trooper helmet and modified it yet? Static burst or not, this could be a great and cheap mod, if anyone knows how to get the static burst to work by just talking into the mic...
  13. Been told that we can't use blastercores for 501st UK trooping, looks lke i'm gonna build 2 E-11's, one with and one without....
  14. I'll take it off your hands if ever you get bored of it....
  15. These build threads are great..... you're doing a stellar job there.... Many troopers do have AP gear in the UK too.... but i'm waiting for TM myself and as Yatia sad.. I figured keep it local Once my Tm arrives, i'll chronicle the build too.. Talking of a SR props blaster kit.... I have one here in front of me... Quality kit
  16. My impulse buy as a MR CE lid... lol Think i like your's better ... hehe
  17. Nice one mate, remember though, take your time assembling it. Make sure you trim it to your body spec carefully. There are so many good build threads around so take your time. I'm just waiting for TM armour, so I'm also at the same excitement level LOL All the best.
  18. Awsome build dude...... that's why i'm hoping to go TM too
  19. Hi Andy, If you can, post some pics of your build, this will probably make it easier for people to help Incidently, I'm also waiting for my TM armour , am slowly getting excited and can't wait to get my hands on it and start the build... All the best... shiv
  20. Guys Not sure if this is the right forum, MODs please move/change if needed.. I'm after a blastercore for a E-11 kit. Can anyone point me in the right direction (PM or otherwise). Many thanks Shiv
