  1. For me it started at the opening of the UK premiere of the Music of Starwars at the O2 Arena in Dec 2008. I saw a bunch of troopers, RC's, Royal Guards, a walking carpet (lol).... took plenty of pics and then spoke to a TK and a spotter.... after a bit of research I found this place, registered, did the same on UKG and here I am now...... a happy trooper... Next cozzies... 1. TM ANH to replace my AP AHN EIB costume.. (probably do this in the next 6 months) 2. ESP Bobba Fett ... nearly done...completion estimate mid to end Feb 2010 3. Clone Commander, more likley and animated clone (sometime in 2010)... 4. Batman...(don't ask.. I really fancy some black latex... lol) And yes, it's addictive......... some of the guys in the UKG have upto 5/6 costumes and counting....
  2. Get yourself down to B&Q buddy or better still screwfix.... (Sorry for our US friends these are UK DIY suppliers)
  3. This is simply too low and should be reported to ebay.... It's shocking...
  4. Hi Rolf, can't wait to see a build thread for the Sandy.... or will you do that on MEPD? Paul's stuff is simply sensational, the pulls so crisp and clean and that new faceplate, what more can one say.... I gather that Jez is already creating a new webpage for you to showoff your suit once completed? hehe And yes, i'm ginna say it again... I gotta get myself TM armour.... (perhaps I should make my AP into Sandy... now there's a thought?)
  5. The arm suspension straps are fine....having a strap between the bicep and the forearm is acceptable and is also considered screen accurate...bonus is if you have skinny arms, it prevents the forearms from sliding down...
  6. Paride, the shins look perfect.... I think one of the best fits i've seen.... It's interesting to see no cut's in the back of the shins... are you able to walk up and down steps comfortably as what you want to avoid is the top of the shins cutting into the back of your knee ...
  7. Hallo Dennis, Wie geht's meinen freund? That's a better paintjob now... On my bipod, I have the same symbols, including the eagle and the dpq writing (or something like that).... Unfortunately, I have some bad news, before Xmas I managed to accidently break my bipod into 3 pieces... (long story).... so i'm waiting for a replacement part from DD... luckily the main body of the DLT was not damaged... phew
  8. Hey Alexander I've sent you the contact details for AP.. All the best..... Shiv
  9. Terry, it's strange but you'll find that many mannequins are seperated on one of the thighs... it makes it easier to dress the mannequin and also put it on the display stand..... Tarquin (whose my mannquin... yes he has a name ) is like this. His a static mannequin and to put the thighs on I have to dis-member him from the torso... lol
  10. Hey Scott, Fleabay has them from time to time..... there's a bloke in Germany who does them...... can't remember his name though, but you will find them on there from time to time....
  11. I think we should rescind this application and wait until Pablo is no. 100.... Your entertaining antics and splendid armour deserve the elite status of being no. 100 my friend.... I'll say it again..... I want TM armour...
  12. Regarding the four belt rivets, I too have the same and i'll probably remove two of them also.... however it's still not an EIB requirement at the moment that is....
  13. Ciao Pablo, An easy pass Pablo and i'll say it again... TM armour just looks the business.... Anyway, finally... welcome to EIB buddy..... Shiv p.s. Your boots need a polish...
  14. I was on a troop and a delightful young lady said.... "that's a very stiff cod piece you have there......", imagine a cut cod, it would be flapping all over the place..... (oops i'm in trouble now....... )
  15. Got mine today too..... thanks again Mike...
  16. Take you time buddy... we had a sneak preview of all the AM parts on the UKG forum from 'AM' himself... you'll find the chest plate very interesting..... It has very sharp detailing.... however, the general opinion is that this is a superior upgrade to the 'old' FX armour.....
  17. That's what I thought too, I couldn't put my finger on it but it sure does look non acrylic capped..... mmmmm Anyway, again, with TM you just can't go wrong..... Nice one Dan..... it will be an easy pass buddy.... (time to flog my elite AP kit.... lol)
  18. Buddy there are plenty of tutorials here on how to assemble a helmet.... it's really not difficult at all.... Get yourself an AP kit and try it.... they are cheap as chips at the moment... and when you feel up to it.... get yourself a lurvely bumpy TE2.... (mmm that reminds me....... Toni...... lol)
  19. Thanks Scott, the pics just don't do it justice at all.... next to my AP lid and my SDS hero lid (yes the uber expensive one), the GF just rocks... I won't troop in it at all...
  20. Unfortunately we can't get hyperfirms shipped over to the UK..... shame that.. My main trooping blaster is a custome made design from a UK guy called itchynutsdesign... (check out the pics in the blaster forum).. My first blaster was a modded hasbro.... but now i'm also working on an all steel affair with genuine sterling parts...... no idea how much it will weigh though once finished.....
  21. As promised, here are the pics of the GF lid.... oh I took the liberty of adding Keith's awesome hovis.... enjoy ---------
  22. Oh, and Keith's hovis look good aswell..... lol
  23. Paul's kit is just incredible.... it's glossy, it's crisp, the pulls are outstanding..... and now this new faceplate is well... near as damn perfect as it's ever gonna be..... I gotta get rid of my AP kit and go full TM..... it's a no brainer..... Oh... down girl down..... Good Salma.... hehe
  24. Dennis, Build seems good buddy..... another thing regarding the lid, see if you can put it on your head as the AP lid is generally a snug fit... sometimes people will cut off more around the front of the lid so you can get it on your head easier.... Another useful tip, regarding the ANH strips, i'd cut the excesses off so that they sit flat again the edges of the armour, otherwise you'll find that they will catch alot especially when you troop.... also they will dig into you giving your 'trooper' bites.... Just take your time, AP is not the easiest kit to assemble.....
