Interesting... the mystery deepens.....mmm My barrel is for sure solid, the barrel vent holes are partially drilled and dont seem to go all the way through, also the front muzzle is solid. Regarding the cocking pin, I dont have one on mine, but there is a hole I think where it's supposed to go..... perhaps it went missing, but i'm going to make one up anyway.... I will weather it slightly, nothing too much though... Would love to see more pics of yours and i'll do the same... cheers shiv

Hallo Dennis Can I ask you, could you post some pics of what additional parts you have added.... Danke..

It's resin, and very weighty... and yes the detailing on it is actually very good for a resin piece. It's solid as well and not hollow. I brought it off a fellow trooper over at MEPED and we were discussing it's origin. It does look like a DoopyDoos piece, but my understanding is that the DD DLT19 is a hollow piece where this one isn't? Also there are no distinguising stamp marks on it as DD pieces have these...... So origin yet unknown...... A fellow trooper over here also has one, and it could be similar, so something to discuss over a pre troop coffee.... Can't believe how big/long this is though.......

My Sterling E11 conversion finished pics

Unfortunatley, in the UK from a legal point of view we are not allowed to troop with deacs and the UKG certainly does not allow this practice.... this was the reason why I had to scrap my real sterling build.... sob, sob.... -

Need help installing ROM/FX Classic Kit
james007bond replied to luke79's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
Many UK guys use a Nokia car kit speaker. on the belt... small yet very loud. To tell you the truth I'm using the speaker supplied with the ROM and at the moment and I have it chest mounted... i think it's loud enough anyway... I do have launchpads hovi speakers but i'm waiting for Stomper to pull tgether 2 hovi sets for me..... It'a all good fun... hehe -
Need help installing ROM/FX Classic Kit
james007bond replied to luke79's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
You will find many people attach the speaker to the chest plate, but remember to have the speaker facing outwards... not like what I did once where the speaker was facing towards my body.... lol, no one could hear me... Another alternative is to have it attached to your belt... but note this is not creen accurate at all....... -

Completely agree with Pablo..... a splendid build so far.... I especially like the way you are rounding off the ANH strips... just gives the armour that added 'WOW' factor.... -
TK-2155 Luis Requesting EIB ANH Stunt.[80][FX]
james007bond replied to 2155TK's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Well done my friend and welcome to the EIB club.... Your armour fits you very well, also you have done a splendid build on the helmet..... -
Regarding the shins, you can get away with ANH strips on the front, as normally for the back of the shins one uses velcro... otherwise, how on earth will you get them on? You can, if you so desire glue one strip on the back of the shins to only one half of the shins and then use velcro to attach to the other half of the shin to that strip.....personally, just use velcro for the back of the shins... easy, effective and well that what 99.9% of troopers probably do.....

Gos's ATA Armor Build![*ATA]
james007bond replied to GosHawk's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Eric, the important thing is, don't rush your armour build.....so what if you can only spend a couple of hrs on it a day... just take your time coz once you trim it, you can't get it back.... so trim a little, test fit, trim a little more.... and so on... and has a previous member said, using masking tape to put the armour together and test fit it.... -

james007bond replied to synaptyx's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Aaron, you can actually buy "sticky stuff remover" from places like B&Q buddy...., but if Mr Sheen work, well what can I say.... -

Closing side gap on AP armor
james007bond replied to Bigturc's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
My AP shim setup is the other way round, I have ABS shims added to the front of the AB plate and I have thick white elastic connecting the kidney plate to the AB plate... Oh plenty of room for free movement, especially if one eats a big lunch during an event...
