  1. Great newsletter guys, keep up the good work and Happy Holidays!
  2. I thought this was interesting. Funny how they slapped a Star Wars logo on the outer packaging... http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Stormtrooper-Comlink-Resin-Prop-Model-Kit-/140490213252?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b5de8784#ht_500wt_1153
  3. Master Replicas Collectors edition was a hero helmet.
  4. You know what's fun? A monthly photo caption contest! We can vote on which caption is the funniest, and I'll supply one of my stormtrooper car decals as the monthly prize!
  5. Yes! You can always trim something down to fit properly. AP armor is going to be too small for your size in my opinion.
  6. Beautiful armor, it fits like a glove and I would take all of the "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper" comments in the world to look that good in armor!
  7. Why not just get something being sold by one of our members here: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=13694&pid=165763&st=0entry165763
  8. You've done an excellent job so far!
  9. I think it's a cool idea, but think that if it was in your helmet it would end up being so close to your head/face that it would be out of focus. I like the idea of putting it in your blaster somewhere.
  10. The UK GML should not be doing that, and is proving what a top notch a-hole he is.
  11. I think it turned out well. Too bad about the huge eye openings.
  12. I agree, get a smaller, more accurate helmet. As for the shins, I've heard of people either adding a snap or velcro to the top of the boot and inside of the shin armor to keep them connected and together.
  13. I don't have a Sandy, but I do have a Heavy Weapons Trooper which is basically a sand trooper w/o the dirt and grime. Wearing the shoulder pauldron limits my range of motion in my right arm. My huge gun is so awesome looking, but has to be carried around with two hands so I can't wave or high five anyone when I'm walking along. It's very cumbersome and gets heavy by the end of the troop. The backpack I got has very comfortable straps on it so my shoulders never hurt from it, but while trooping with it, it will feel like I'm not even wearing a backpack at all, but then after an hour my body starts to complain and it hits me all at once and I have to get that thing off as soon as possible! It's weird that it's not a gradual thing, it's more like: "hmmmm, my back is feeling a little stiff" and then 2 minutes later I'm thinking: "I don't care if people want another picture, I'm heading for the door to the changing area to get it off and get some relief!" All in all, it's fun to pull out the HWT for certain events, but I can troop longer and am much more comfortable as just a regular TK.
  14. Seems kinda pricey for just a kit. Why not just get a cheaper kit from a reputable seller here on the boards: My linkhttp://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=12541&st=0&p=153341&hl=ap%20helmet&fromsearch=1entry153341
  15. Ha ha, yes! TK's rule, Mando's drool!
  16. Looks like you trimmed the bottom of the chest piece... looks a bit odd not having a return edge on it.

I think that it is the West coasts' turn to hold the next Celebration!
  18. Black plastic never looked so good!
  19. Someone should use the "Make an Offer" button on the listing and offer to take it off his hands for a couple hundred bucks!
  20. I don't understand... is it for sale, or just something pretty to look at that they own?
  21. Great job, it turned out very nice. Yes, next time use a white pumpkin! -----------
  22. If you are watching the Special Edition from 1997 then yes, those are ROTJ suits they used for additional shots for the special edition. All they had in the vault to wear were the ROTJ suits, so that's what they used even though they don't match the rest of the film from 1977. <_<
  23. Well, seeing as how it is FX armor, and FX is no longer being made, it is a recast. My suggestion, stop cruising eBay and pick a kit from this list: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=11538

At the stores around town they sell water bottles with fans on the ends that you can squirt at yourself to creating a misting effect, those helped a bit. We were so desperate that we were taking off our baseball caps, drenching them with water in the drinking fountains and then putting them on our heads to get cool. Oddly enough it didn't bring any relief.
