  1. So the SE-14R blaster isn't even an option for EIB or Centurion? I see its acceptable for a 'canon' TK what blaster are accepable for a tk If that's the case we need to change the header of our forums. The one we ALL see at the top of our pages with a TK aiming with a SE-14R. Plus Daetrin, change your avatar pic too. Set a good example for us.
  2. Those triangular pieces might be for the left knee. If its gonna be a sandtrooper you'll have to change the ab detail pieces too. The helmet looks great, keep that piece. Oh, and your hand plates were upside down You could easily get what you paid for (and more) if you decided to sell it and buy a kit.
  3. Its all up to you and how much work you wanna put into this project. You could cut the forearms apart and add new shims/finishing strips. The nice part about building a sandtrooper is that the small imperfections can be "camouflaged" with weathering. There are though plenty of troopers (including myself) that have armor comprised of different armor sets. My TX suit has FX legs, arms, butt & cod with CAP-W chest, back and shoulders.
  4. You can/should polish the paint once it dries with some high grit polishing cloths. Start with 4000 and work up to 12000. I've used that process on my ATA lid and couldn't be more happier. I never knew a spray painted finish (with a little work) could look so good. See this post. This topic has been previously reviewed/discussed: ------
  5. I got mine yesterday. Very comfortable, soft material. I'll probably end up buying another pair for my TD. Excellent value.
  6. Well, with the recent events in the Middle East oil prices have risen. Plastic is made from oil. I wouldn't be surprised if all armor vendors start raising their pricing.
  7. Great job! You're worried over nothing. I'm working on my TD armor now and have small gaps between my finishing strips and the armor. I'll be using silicone to fill those gaps too.
  8. Very nice looking kit! + cute dog
  9. Yeah, chop those bottom areas away.
  10. You only have to attend ONE 501st event to maintain your membership. "One year is defined as a rolling 12-month window from last troop so, for example, a member trooping on June 30 will have to troop on or before June 30 the following year to be considered active."-Legion Charter Article II Membership Section D2.

  12. Thanks for sharing
  13. It'll help to post pictures of the outsides of the fore arms. Its hard to tell from the inside shots you posted up. If you're ending up having to trim a lot because you're smaller than most troopers that's part of the solution. Another good trick is heating up and bending the armor to fit you.
  14. Its kinda hard to tell from the pictures you posted. Can you post some better ones? Also, what type of armor are you working with?
  15. I know a couple of people have done this to achieve two EIBs, ANH & ESB versions. So yeah, swap helmets, place different hand guards, blaster & holster and you got yourself a different set of armor.
  16. SA = Sith Armor. I've seen his stuff on ebay. Actually, I bought my first FX kit from them. Basicallly it IS a FX armor kit.
  17. Haha, this title is too fun. I thought it was a 'fetish' video.
  18. I'm sorry no one told you it came that big But wasn't it a neat find we you did see it?
  19. Here's my friend's RT helmet (left) next to an AP (right). He got it around OCT/NOV of last year. We were trying to determine what version it is. This has the seam in the back. Why wouldn't a seam helmet be acceptable?
  20. From what I've read around the various prop forums is that stuff is getting damaged/lost/delayed leaving the U.K. because of the snow storms that they have been getting.
  21. Yeah, that new row of holes looks fine. It won't stand out as much after you paint it black. Well done.
  22. My ATA kit came with a 18" X 18" sheet of HIPS. It was more than enough for me to do my finishing strips. You might wanna get the proper "S" neck trim material. CA glue is also helpful when you need to bond something quick because the E6000 needs time to cure/harden. Check out TK-4510's supplies he has on his website.
  23. If you have a plastic works store, like TAP plastics, they'll have it. Otherwise you could order it online. I just looked it up on Amazon.com, they have it.
  24. I placed the wire mesh over a 12mm socket and cut off the excess. Then slowly worked the mesh into the mic tip, working one corner then working the opposite and so on till it was where I wanted it.
