  1. Great statues, difficult name to say correctly!
  2. LOL, no problem! Hmm, maybe we should have a "test" forum, so people can test their signatures and avatars and whatnot... just an idea.
  3. There was a guy who used to make larger TK parts who went by the handle TK Big. I'm pretty sure he's no longer making armor, but you could always try to find used TK Big armor.
  4. What seems to be the issue?
  5. Wow, I missed a lot while I was away. Hooray for us!
  6. So we're voting how you should mod your armor?
  7. What sort of mod? Forum mod? I'm totally confused.
  8. My knee plate has stayed secure with industrial for many troops now simply for the fact that I have not commited to glueing the shins together just yet. When I do, I will be using rivets to keep it secure, as I did with my left thigh piece.
  9. I just found a link to a grapple that someone completed on the main Legion board. Here's a link to the photo: ---------
  10. Sounds great, can't wait to see it. As for the cog... well, you can only put it on so many things before it's total overkill.
  11. This is a pretty slow month for me. Absolutely no trooping since the 23rd of last month. Had an armor party two weekends ago and went to a horror con (I went as Shaun from Shaun of the Dead) this past weekend. I won't be in armor until Nov 4th & 11th when I do two Toys 4 Tots toy drives, and possibly convention on the 12th. I'm having surgery this Thursday (sleep apnea), so I wouldn't be able to troop for a while if I wanted to.
  12. I use sweatbands or bandanas as my sweat control mechanisms. Good idea about an intake and outtake fan. I used to have both my fans pulling air in and it really started to feel a bit suffocating, not to mention it didn't help with the lenses fogging. I personally didn't put foam in the cheeks of my helmet. When I have my neck seal on, it keeps my helmet for bobbling around.
  13. I have a military hat liner... thing my friend gave me. It's too awesome for words. I don't know where you can get one, but my other choice was the foam, seems a lot more comfy, though I am a sweaty bastage and would need to air it out all the time.
  14. That's just odd. Maybe the fans are messed up? Anyone else wanna chime in on this one? I'm stumped.
  15. I know some people who have "loud" fans, but that because you can hear them through their amp system. Otherwise, I really don't know why they'd be loud. I have 2 12v fans powered by 2 9v fans and they're anything but loud. Did you wire it yourself? If so, how'd you wire it up?
  16. Good news! Hopefully in a couple days we'll have a new segment with a new face (no not mine)! I'll post a link as soon as it's up.
  17. Not to mention shipping from Germany would probably be pretty pricey.
  18. I'm with troopermaster. As long as it looks the part, it doesn't really need to work. I can't wait to see what you come up with. This is an awesome alternative to the thermal detonator.
  19. Very wise words from a prospective member! You definately have the right mindset and I can't wait to see your finished product!
  20. If you machine the hook, I'm totally all over getting one if you make several. Keep us updated!
  21. Funny thing is I tried to talk her into it, but she's a grad student and works full time, not to mention she's working on a Ventress and Jango for herself. Got her hands pretty full at the moment, but I'll keep trying. Maybe I could get her to do a limited run just for First Imperial Stormtrooper Corps members... No promises though!
  22. Heh, good call. Yeah, I can't say it sounds appetizing in the least. I've not served in any branch of the military, so I wouldn't know.
  23. My girlfriend made me a fleece draw string bag for my bucket. After that, she decided to make me bags for all my armor. It helps keep the scratches off the armor when I'm stacking everything together. The only downside is that it adds time to gearing up and down. If you're handy with a sewing machine, it's pretty easy. When she did them, she was just learning to sew, so it wasn't a huge daunting task or anything. I'll take pics soon and post them if anyone's interested.
  24. Oh man, a trooper down! Dibs on his gear!
