  1. What seems to be the issue?
  2. Actually, if I remember correctly, to be accepted as a TD in the 501st you need to have a pauldron and ammo pouches. That's pretty much it. It's a requirement of the MEPD to have a backpack, correct ab plate, sniper plate, and most of all, be dirty. I know a couple people who have been granted an TD designation without many of the things listed above, most notibly the lack of dirt. But you might want to check with your GML on that one.
  3. I only wear one to display my Garrison and Squad patches. Otherwise, I keep it off.
  4. Yep, had to do it several times, but finally it's stayed!
  5. The Wal-Mart stuff I found has mesh arm pit areas... that's not exactly what I'm looking for.
  6. I used hot glue for my lenses, ear caps, and ab plate buttons. Otherwise, it's a lot of Plastic Welder and some Krazy glue.
  7. Those were not Stormtroopers. Think of it this way, if you're trying to hide from the Empire and you're being escorted by a vehicle that you can plainly see inside of and you spot a Imperial Stormtrooper piloting it, would you stick around?
  8. Excellent! I look forward to seeing it as it's the next mod I plan to do.
  9. Wow, it's like Night of the Living Thread over here! Resurrected after a month of dormancy, it comes back for more! Coming soon to a forum near you! Starring Lou Diamond Phillips and one of those Baldwin guys... probably the fat one.
  10. Actual Stormtroopers? I think the answer is 0. If you count Sandtroopers in the same group with Stormtroopers, I think the answer would be 1 if you count dewbacks. All the other vehicles had their own specialized pilots/drivers with their own specialized gear. At least that's how I recall it.
  11. I've heard of people using dyed mariachi boots, but haven't heard all that favorable results. Here's a tutorial someone sent me a long while ago on how to make your own: http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/boots.htm#
  12. No, they fit me just fine. I'm just thinking ahead for the Tournament of Roses Parade. That's gonna be a lot of walking.
  13. Great job! I may have to get one of these in the next run.
  14. I have caboots TK boots with Dr. Sholl's Gel inserts. Let me tell you, I am so not gellin'. Does anyone have any good suggestions as to what makes a good comfy insert? Please provide brand names or links if possible
  15. LOL, yep! With my limited PS skillz, I have to jack other people's hard work!
  16. All valid points, but my point wasn't about my head size, but the fact that I get claustophobic and it took some time to adjust to my FX bucket. Anything smaller would just trip me out. But yeah, I'm cool with the standards.
  17. What's sad is as much I plan to do more mods to my armor to make it more accurate, being claustophobic makes getting a smaller helmet almost impossible. How is one to go about closing the gap between the ab and kidney plates? I'd like to see some detail on that. Otherwise, everything else seems okay.
  18. I need a wife to buy me armor... and cook for me, fetch me a beer, wash my clothes... j/k I hear the mpg is better on the AT-ST.
  19. Just saw it was your birthday and on behalf of the FISD staff, I just wanted to say happy birthday! Enjoy your day and have one on me!
  20. I should start a TK dance troop. I do a mean robot in my armor, but any other dancing is a bit... difficult to say the least.
  21. You're not alone, I dig the clanging noise too.
  22. The pads look great, my only concern with it would be the added heat factor. Living in Florida, we don't get much break from the heat and every little layer counts.
  23. HAH! Some of the pics on that site are hilarious, yet sickening.
