  1. If I remember correctly, mine is a Sterilite 45 gallon bin with wheels. The handle is a little annoying, but it works. I was going to go for a larger Rubbermaid bin, but I'm glad I didn't: this one clears just perfectly in the back of my '05 Altima. Everything fits inside neatly (as long as you stack it correctly). My girlfriend made me drawstring cloth bags for all my armor, mics pieces (voice amp, gloves, sweat bands, etc), and a fleece bag for my bucket. In the bottom are a couple Ziploc baggies with Plastic Welder, Krazy Glue, Velcro, spare bits of ABS, some soft cloths, and a couple other things.
  2. Here here! I agree totally about TKs being seen as second class or, as one Boba stated in the main forums, "generic costumes." As I understand it, the Legion was BUILT on Stormtroopers! I'm totally in favor of this detachment to get the recognition we deserve! What's more impressive: seeing 10 Bobas, 10 Jangos, 20 Vaders, and some TIE Pilots in one place, or one Vader and a whole squad of TKs?
  3. It just seems so monochromatic. Maybe add just a bit of color? Maybe some blue as a contrast to the red of the Legion logo?
  4. It's kind of bland, kind of like a toned down version of the legion logo. What about that tribal cog someone posted before? That was original looking.
  5. I think someone's going to have make some sort of executive decision. We can go back and forth forever with possible names.
  6. I knew of it, but I've never heard the pros and cons for it. So yeah, I'd say the this (proposed) detachment is really informative.
  7. I'm just using a vecro strap. If I do the cut, I will definately be using snaps instead. While it's solid right now, there's really no reason for it.
  8. Hmm, I'm not fond of having a strap going from the cod piece to my butt place. With it still attached, I have problems with the strap coming off. But it would be nice to be able to bend over to shake a child's hand without feeling like I'm going to fall over...
  9. All valid concerns. Thanks for the info. I was also thinking as it would be behind the belt area, it may add stress to the belt when you sit. So far, I found I'm able to sit if it's on a backless stool or a couch. I just look like a pregnant lady when I try to get up.
  10. So the Fightin' Whities is out of the question? Seriously though, simplier is better. Since part of the reason for this detachment is meant for education and information, why not something along the lines of the Imperial Academy of Stormtroopers or something to that effect.
  11. I'm thinking that would make it look a bit thick in the back area.
  12. That's all well and good for a movie suit, but how would the canvas belt hold up over time? I mean it can be easily freyed, get twisted, bunch up, etc.
  13. Mind if I ask why?
  14. Someone said that Turtle Wax Spray Wax works really well. So far, I've used Zippo lighter fluid to get off a scuff from a bump into a TD and the standard polish tha came with the armor.
  15. I've been thinking about cutting the cod piece, but i'm still a bit reluctant about it.
