  1. I ordered a set myself and just got in touch with him. He's been super swamped with things and I think everyone should be getting them soon.
  2. I'm at a loss of what to do with the creases, but if you get any bubbles in there, you can always puncture them with a small pin and smooth it out.
  3. Don't forget to keep submitting logos ideas, though!
  4. Vote for a name that stikes fear into the hearts of rebel scum!
  5. I hate it when my words come back to bite me in the the ABS @ss. Sounds like an plan! Can't wait to vote!
  6. So this means we're not voting on a name? We're just going with "Stormtrooper Detachment?"
  7. I think it's a great idea! I use Under Armour, which would cost you about $75 shipped for the top and leggings. You could get the off brands, but I hear they don't hold up so well. Either way, if you go the UA route, you'll have to replace it after a while (snags, armor bites, etc). If you're on a budget, you could get a Hasbro E-11 and modify it. It's cost effective and I've seen some done that look incredible. You can usually find someone who knows someone who can get you the parts. As for being under-aged, you can still have fun with it, even if it's not at official 501st events (conventions, costume parties, etc). It's a hobby, like any other. It's best to take your time and enjoy what you're doing. Good luck and we're here to offer tips! Well, at least the other guys are, I'm still new to this stuff myself.
  8. It's funny you say that. I was thinking about adding a 3rd 9v to my 2 12v fans. Not too sure how to wire it, though. Do you have a diagram or anything I could reference?
  9. I've found that you can use alcohol to remove overspray on ABS, even if it's been dry for several hours. Past that time span, I'm not sure. I found this out accidentally when I was cleaning a cut I got while working on my bucket.
  10. Yeah, that would be great for air travel. If I'm able to go to CIV, I'll have to figure something out.
  11. There, I fixed your statement.
  12. Well, with normal wear and tear, you'll probably need to touch it up from time to time. I used to keep my bucket in a pillow case until my girlfriend decided to make me a bag out of fleece witha draw string. Besides keeping it free of scratches, it works well for a quick wipe down for smudges, etc.
  13. I think we should just have a blaster in there, no helmet.
  14. I have 2 in the frown, one pulling air in, one pulling air out. It's right by my nose & mouth, so it helps make it feel less stuffy and with lens fogging, but I also use anti-fog stuff for the lenses. I'm thinking of adding 2 more behind the airaitors.
  15. I use some 12v ones I got from Radio Shack. Pretty expensive (like $12 for one), but they're good and quiet.
  16. Yeah, "theiggsta" or whatever it is he calls himself.
  17. The Stanley toolbox is definately the way to go it seems, but like I said, I can just barely clear the trunk in my car with the Wal-Mart bin. Also, we don't have Fred Meyer stores in Florida that I know of. The only time I've seen one was then I was staying with some friends in Seattle.
  18. It was either you or Aaron.
  19. Thanks Kahler, I still need to get a set myself
  20. Oh, I forgot to add I keep a bottle of Tag body spray just in case we do something after the troop. No one wants a funky trooper around!
  21. Yeah, but it helps if you have the buttons to begin with.
  22. Just got a hold of the guy. He does have some and is in the process of making more. Ryan, I PM'd him your email. TK-8020, PM me your email address and I'll send it off to him. I'm gonna see if he will come over here and post all the info plus pics.
  23. I'll do that as soon as I get word if he still has some. I've been wanting to get some myself.
  24. No problem! That's what we're here for! A guy in my garrison have actually canon buttons (grey and dark blue). He sells them for about $10. PM me your email and I'll have him get a hold of you. That's pretty odd that the kit didn't come with it. Which armor kit is it, by the way?
  25. First, if you haven't already got a pair, go pick up a pair of heavy duty suspenders. I got mine at Sears for about $8, but you can pick them up in just about any hardware store. TK-899's got a good tutorial over @ -----------ou'll probably have to make the back part of the suspenders shorter or you'll end up like I did on my first troops and had saggy trooper butt! If you're worried about the brown leather part of the suspenders showing, you can alway dye it later. I can't remember what snaps I used, but I didn't attach them to the ab place. For the thigh pieces, I got a simple nylon belt, like the kind that you can find in sporting good shops that hold shot gun shells. Once I got the snaps on the elastic cords, I made a loop and put the belt through it. I'll see if I can find what snaps I used, but someone else will probably post it before I find it. EDIT: Wait, do you mean the ab plate buttons? I just drilled a hole for each, pushed them through, and hot glued the back. Or are they missing all together?
