  1. Nice work. The FX is hard to get to Elite, and you have done a great job. The drop box is a minor issue, and is one that we could nitpick to death, but it is not worth it for all troopers. Thanks for the additional pics, it certainly helps. Elite status approved, but I have a "request." I know this is not on the standards yet, so I won't push it, but if I can ask, a great update would be to add the bankers clips or some metal clips to the TD. This is not required, but was totally accurate and seen on screen. Well done, and Paul, will you please make the latest updates?
  2. Smitty, well done!!! I must say I am impressed with a trooper who goes for Elite right out of the box, and you nailed it!! Elite status Approved!! Paul, will you do the honors??
  3. Yea, probably. Well, maybe one of our FL troopers can post up and be willing to have it sent to them. I am leaving tomorrow, so I would hate to miss it. Anyone??

    FISD at SWW

OK, I know that Margaret, Steve and I will be at SWW (in the TK animal house), and Darman and his wife will be there, but I want to know who else will be there? It would be great to get a pic at some point this weekend of all the FISD tried and true. There are a total of 34 non-Florida people on the trip, and 74 TK's, so I better hear from more than just the few I mentioned. So, let me know if you can, or come see me this weekend. We will be there bright and early Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so please make sure to find me and say hello. AND, all you other troopers not makin' the trip, you will be missed. We look to have record numbers for this years event (160 possible for Saturday), so this should be a blast.
  5. Man, I have not seen this much activity on this thread in months!!! Keep up the enthusiasm!!!
  6. I have read just about every SW book put out, and this was in the upper half, probably. I thought the back story and the human element of the Station was great, and the tie in to the films was good. Enjoy, just got my signed copy of Invincible (Troy Denning Book signing troop tonight), so i will be starting that soon).
  7. I 100% agree the extra T-Track is needed. These was one app that had the lower set of vent holes showing on the mag side of the E-11 (this is where the bayonet lug goes), so that would be the only instance and location the vent holes could be visible. The Hasbro's (even modded) are so inaccurate to start with, it is very hard to use specific language about the blasters to describe them. The new pic is awesome, and your rig looks great!!! Elite status approved. I would like to ask that maybe you could update your posts so the pics actually show in the thread. This makes it much easier for others to see and enjoy your work, as well las for me to view the whole setup. Nice job trooper!!! Paul, would you be so kind to do the honors? Scott
  8. I know I still have several of sets of swag to get out to many of you new Elites, and I promise I will be cutting a bunch out tomorrow night. Life has been crazy, and that is not an excuse, so I apologize to those of you who have been waiting a while longer than I would like. Make sure to check your mailboxes next week!!!!
  9. Very nicely done!!! I had t zoom in on the pics to see the separation, simply because the butt and kidnet plate match up so well, but it is there. Thanks for the hard work, Elite Status approved. Two in one day, nice job troopers!!!
  10. Nice job, and thanks for doing all you can to make our Elites truly Elite. Status granted!!! Paul, another trooper added to the ranks!!!
  11. Margaret, Steve and I will be there for sure.
  12. Very nice job. I appreciate the willingness to make the changes, as well as document the changes. Nice work!!! Elite status approved. Paul, will you, you know, do that thing you do? I now pronounce you man and wife Elite. You may troop with your bride/groom!!! OK, who else will get their spouse into armor?? Nice job troopers!!!
  13. Very nice pics. I do need to see a pic of a blaster without the counter. It is specific in the Standards, and even though the rest of the armor is 100% SWEET, I can't let that slide. Post a new pic of a blaster, sans counter, and you are all set. We could have the first TK to attain Elite status for all three films. Nice.
  14. This is the grappling hook, and it is an acceptable option for the ANH Elite.
  15. Bump just to make sure I just need to see a few updated pics in order to complete your Deployment.
  16. OK, where did the pics go?? I am out of it for a little while, and threads pop up, and the pics disappear??? I guess I will need to see the armor before I can provide Elite Status. <_<
  17. Ditto!!! I have been so busy with life, family, baseball and the like, I feel I have been neglecting the forum a little. I love the fact we are all willing to not only chime in with great advice, that the troopers appling are willing to take the advice and run with it. I agree 100% on all the change suggestions, and I would ask for the bells to be trimmed just a bit. I helped a buddy of mine how is 5' 2" trim his FX, and it is process, but it can be done. And with an AP lid, it looks really nice. Great work you too. We will have our first Spousal Elites very soon!!!
  18. Mike, Your suit is top notch, and I am extremely impressed with it. However, I do need to ask for a few mods because they are a part of the Standards for Elite: Also, the E-11 is a part of the standards as well. I realize the MG-34 is an option, but it is more of an add-on as opposed to a replacement. Again, please note this is a great set-up, I just need to make sure ALL applications adhere to and meet the Elite Standards as they exist today. Thanks,
  19. Bobby, Very nice job, and thanks for updated pics. Elite Status granted!! Paul, would you be so kind as to update our latest additions status?
  20. I agree with all the comments made already, so I just need to see a few updated shots (drop boxes and belt showing separation below), and you are all set. Nice work trooper!!
  21. Got it, and well done. Now I can say I learned something tonight. Thanks for pointing that out, I would have never noticed that. Looking forward to seeing the updated pics, and i have edited my request list. Scott
  22. Lou, First off, nice job so far. The FX is the hardest kit to "fix", so great job. Now on the the critiques: 1) There should not be any rivets showing (I know there are a necessity at time), so in your case they need to be painted white. (belt, thighs especially) (one suggestion would be to take a nickel, make three circles out of the ABS you gained by the belt, and use those to cover the rivets on the belt) 2) On the back shot, I do need to see the split is below. One suggestion I can make is to add a spot of Velcro to the back plate, and then to the inside of the belt. 3) Also (more of a suggestion than a requirement) I would suggest trying to narrow the opening of your right thigh. The FX thighs are so barrel shaped it is hard, but the lower part could come in a bit. I think that is it for now. Good job trooper!!!
  23. I would agree with the comments above. I need to see: 1) Color of the lenses 2) The belt with the back on, so the separation is below 3) A shot of the side so we can see there is no gap I think that is about it. Bucket looks good. Scott
  24. No comment. Well, I guess I can see the split, so Elite Status Approved!!! Paul, I assume you will update the boss' record to show he FINALLY made it? Well done trooper!!
  25. Terrell, Looks great. I will be a pain and ask for a pic with the split showing below the belt. I know it is there, but I want to make sure we require that shot on ALL submissions, so we can refer to them later (you will be critiqued, as will I). You don't need to get full suit, but I would like to see the ab/kidney plate showing the belt above the split. I know you will understand, and you are pretty much there, just get me that pic. Thanks, Scott
