  1. All Elite swag has been sent!!! Enjoy, and sorry for the delay.
  2. By the weekend. We are still trying to adjust to life with two boys in school and Melissa still recovering from brain surgery. She is 90% there, but the 10% is still a struggle, and her not being able to drive is another challenge. I promise to get these cut and in the mail before Saturday. Sorry for the delay guys, I know you have earned them, so I will get them to you!!! Scott
  3. Nice job!! Elite Status approved!!
  4. Very nice submission. I think you are all set except for the blaster. That thing has to go, and if you just send it to me, I will dispose of it properly. :D Great submission. You hit all the spots we need to see, and did a great job. I really like the extra step on the TD (nice touch Elite status approved. And, as Terrell said, please post up a good "action shot" for your Elite page pic.
  5. The Elite standards are NOT set upon any specific armor. The FX bucket has been listed as no longer an option due to the very specific lack of accuracy. Each kit and submission is evaluated based on the standards and the ability of each kit to capture what is really "above and beyond" the normal TK and looks more like what was seen on screen (while meeting all the standards). Hope this helps.
  6. I agree the areators are the only thing holding you back. PM sent, and nice work there trooper!!!
  7. Tony, Looks great, but I will make one more request: The trim was only on ROTJ armor, so that needs to be removed. No need to get suited up again, so if you can take another pic of the separation without the trim, you are "golden." Way to stick with it!!!
  8. Basically, he buys a kit from an actual maker, or gets someone else to buy one, recasts the armor, and then sells it in a mass market environment. And, when he gets someone to buy for him (which is often, because most clone armorers won't sell to him) he the original buyer a kit, as well as pays for the first set in some instances. Yes, you are correct that many of the original TK buckets were casted from a screen used helmet, but AA or LFL were not selling these screen used buckets, and TE, GF, Gino and the pioneers here did not cast the armor in an underhanded fashion (I might not be 100% accurate on the persons listed above, but you get the idea). Bottom line is SFP is buying stuff current artists are making and selling, and RECASTING IT and mass producing it to compete directly with the original artist. Please chime in anyone where I am wrong here.
  9. No way man, Cody all the way!!! Here is a shot of my work in progress: ------------- Startin' to come together pepper!!!
  10. Thanks to Dean, I can now offer these in the official 501st font. These are offered for new Elites as an option, as well as older Elites who want to get a few more for their own use.
  11. I agree the TD looks better without the silver strips. It was never on screen, so not having it adds to your overall look. Good submission pics, Elite Status approved!!!!
  12. The gallery has several. Here is a lionk to one, and you can follow the gallery from there: ---------- Scott
  13. Yes, and actually those are really not even looked at here, and especially by most GML's. If you are going to do it, use split rivets and paint them white. There are four on the left side (two on the ab and two on the kidney), and three on the right. There is also a larger silver button (possibly a snap) on the top of the ab plate on the right side. If you want to be uber accurate!!! What the Elite requirements mean by no visible rivets are the snap rivets people use to attach their shoulder straps to the chest and to hold the thighs together. These were also used on the sniper plate, as well as on the power pack on the right thigh.
  14. OK, Several people have asked to get a few extra FISD logos or TKID's, and I have been reluctant to do them, in an attempt to keep them exclusive. Well the requests kept coming in, so I have spoken with the Command Staff and we have decided it is OK to offer these up to Elite troopers only. So, if you would like any additional FISD logos or TKID's, not is your chance to get them. Cost will be $8 for the FISD logo and $4 for the TKID with your Elite status below (just like the free ones you got!!!) Keep in mind I will check Elite status before I cut anything, so only Elite troopers may order. As an added bonus, I will do these in any color you want: Blue, black, flat black, red, green, yellow, silver, gold, purple, white. Please include what decal you want, quantity and color in the notes box, as well as your TKID. Paypal is [email protected] Thanks, and great job to all of our Elite troopers!!!!
  15. Now I critique every square inch of your kit and decide IF it is worthy to be called Elite. You will bow to my wished until I get what I want if you want to really be Elite!!!!! We demand a sacrifice!!! We want....... a shrubbery!!! One that looks nice, and not too expensive Ha, just a little humor, laugh please. Very nicely done, even with the camera phone pics. All of the requirements have been met, so Elite status approved. Paul, will you do the honors???
  16. Just a friendly bump to see if you were able to get the final pic of the separate kidney/butt plate??
  17. OK guys, this is an amazing testament to the power of prayer. My wife was discharged for the hospital at 2:00 PM TODAY, and we are home. What a huge praise. I am so overwhelmed with the prayers and support and just the knowledge that so many people are out there pulling and praying for us. Today is a GREAT day!!!!
  18. Thanks for all the great PM's, posts and prayers. I set up a Caring Bridge Web site for Melissa, so in case anyone is interested, here is the link: Mel's site We have a few people who are going to help us keep this as up to date as possible. We just got a call from the hospital asking all the history questions and scheduling stuff, so we are all set for tomorrow. Talk to ya when I can, and thanks again, Scott (and Melissa)
  19. Hey guys, thanks for all the kind works of support and prayers. They are totally felt and appreciated. OK, got an update: Melissa does indeed have a tumor in the right frontal lobe, and it is just smaller than a racquetball. She is scheduled for brain surgery next Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Surgery is expected to last between 4 and 5 hours, and she will be in the hospital recovering anywhere from 2 to 5 days. We should know about 2 weeks after that the results of the pathology (see if it is cancerous), and then we will know where to go after that. You troopers are a great bunch, and I appreciate all the support. Where would I be without my brothers (and sisters) in white armor. Thanks. I will keep you all posted, but it shoudl be quite for the next week.
  20. I just wanted to let all of you know that I may be out of it for a while. Melissa (my wife) had a seizure this afternoon, and we learned tonight that she has a decent size brain tumor in her right frontal lobe. We meet with a neurosurgeon at 10 AM tomorrow, to see what we can do, and what our course of action is. I will try to post updates, but I needed you all to know I am pretty much assessing what I need to focus on, and my wife is it for now. Any prayers and/or thoughts you can "send" our way would be most appreciated!!! Scott
  21. I will concur the armor looks awesome!!! The blaster does need some work, so Status will need to wait until new blaster pics can be posted. Excellent armor good man!!!
  22. Chris, Well done and very nice work. Moding an FX is not an easy task, and you have done an excellent job. Terrell is right on the Hasbro, but since you have the resin E-11, this is really moot. Elite Status approved!!! Paul, will you do the honors and update the latest troopers status? I will try to get the photo done soon, as well as the Standards should be updated winin a week (as long as Terrell is OK with them). Well done trooper!!!
  23. I was also at SWW with Margaret, and we noticed several things: 1) The calf pieces are held down with straps under the boots. 2) The boots have white soles 3) The thigh pieces are a little large 4) The cod/ab pieces seem to be more pronounced when it comes to detail 5) The belt is shiny vinyl 6) The forearms and biceps are LARGE, and connected together with black straps 7) The ab plate seems too big 8) The back is not a clean pull 9) The bucket is also somewhat off (already been discussed) 10) The tube stripes and tears/traps are black (Can you say I noticed!!!) Anyway, we sort of decided that this was all for flexibility and visual support, since the black stands out more than the blue does. It was sure fun standing with few feet of a Disney TK and saying "There is no way I would troop in that". I guess the truth is we might, given the fact they got to mingle with the crowd, and we had to just march, no waving, no nodding, no nothin'. They did the the RL do that, so it just further emphasizes the term "You Rebel Scum!!!" Anyway, that's my $.02
  24. This was done in an ongoing effort to improve the Elite costume. I know it is one detail, but we will continue to add more. This one was just one of the easiert to add based on: 1) Ease of mod 2) Ease of access 3) Number of existing Elite needing the mod This does play into it so as we can improve our our standards, we can look at the existing Elite for inspiration. Bankers clips on TD's will be coming soon, as will a few others.
  25. Kevin, nice job. It is good to see you have your hand plates!!! It is cool to see a Hero bucket, as they are few and far between. All appears to be good to go. Elite status approved. One thing that might help keep the shoulder straps in place is some 1/8" elastic. It is seen on screen, and can be used to wrap around the shoulder strap and the black strap underneath. Helps to keep them in place. Paul, will you do the honors?
