  1. Ooh well that's cool then Not too fussed on all this CGI nonsense Glad they made a few real costumes then PS off topic but check out a film called Moon. Sci film with glue and airfix kits like the good old days
  2. I thought all those clones were CGI? None actually existed and no suits were ever made Where they physical costumes then?
  3. And it changes from scene to scene....still funny though
  4. Thanks Yeah I could clean that up with a new layer of sealant and wet finger, but will leave it as was when made
  5. Yeah I'll go and buy some plastic bumper filler from Halfords and see if I can 'rescue' it I've tried my sealing iron on a little bit to make it flatter again. Moderate success. Joe suggested an Ewok bongo lol Anyone know who this is?
  6. I got a 95% TK in the attic just need to glue my shoulder straps back on 3 E11s 4 helmets (working on 5 and 6) 1 TS with 3 lids 1 DLT20A rifle 1 Jawa blaster Oh and a predator helmet
  7. I'm using milliput for the lows Just wondering how to get the tube simple back in on the line on the top of the tube I'm only missing about 1" so hope it won't be too bad Or make a TK zombie lid ....?
  8. Finished ear ---------
  9. I got this seconds lid off Joe as a little project to keep my out of trouble I left it too near my halogen 1000w lamp in my shed I've added milliput to the areas affected and made it a little better by filling in the lows and resculpting the traps etc But how can I get the highs out? In particular the tube dimple from the cheek to the ear I don't mind a but of work which I why I asked for a seconds lid. I was thinking would a sealing iron do it, or just leave it there Any tips? John
  10. I liked Keiths approach but was worried I'd mess up where to drill the screw holes (Thinking about it, I should have just marked the screws with paint and job done - but how would I knwo the ear is in the correct position) This is how I've done it - with bathroom sealant Draw around the ear ------- Drill a few holes in that space - this will allow the sealant to seap through and form a mushroom type shape -------- Make a ROTJ and bathroom sealant ear shaped fondant cake ----- Squeeeze Use magnets to squeeze it together I also used tape to hold it all on top --- Now then, don't worry about the mess. I tried it on the inside to test. It dries like hard rubber. Cut with a scalpel around the ear and just peel it off I'll post pics up tomorrow. It works fine Just a little messy at first
  11. As Karin and other have said, metal brackets and spilt (or bifurcated) rivets are the way to go for screen accuracy....but no one looks inside your suit, only you Poppers are better than velcro for the very valid reasons given above. There is cool velcro called mushroom velcro which I like to use here and here but even then, velcro is hard to get yourself comfortable in. Poppers take longer to set up but work 100% of the time in terms of comfort and having your suit sit like you intended. Whilst not bang on screen accurate, Tony's site www.TK300.com has a good popper tutorial
  12. Sorry found it --------
  13. I think he means this I'm trying the bathroom sealant method as I couldn't find Keiths thread
  14. It's really hard to get the ears sit flush with no gaps. I sell ears and can never get it right. A heat gun can be used to coerce the ears to the shape you want
  15. I love your TD mould And the rest of it lol, but that mould looks cool just on its own why not put a horseshoe shape on the bottom of your ab plate vertical rectangle?
  16. I dont understand the love of clones either ROTJ are a bit different but I wouldn't say ugly...? I'm currently making one of JoeRs lids and love it Learning lots The ears are all different, eyes are all different, frown paint different I've increased my exposure and knowledge to TKs How can that be a bad thing?
  17. I'll try them all Thanks lads
  18. Pm on it's way
  19. Yeah it does ta I think I'll try bathroom sealant ad well as I messed the ears up Not really but there's gaps there lol Thanks
  20. Any advice on how to stick together ROTJ lids with those odd little ears There are no screws then or were they filled in or something? Doubt it so they must have been glued on....? ---------
  21. Yeah I know this stuff now you've said it's based on CAP. Andy is a good bloke. Good comms and seems a decent enough chap His stuff looks great too BFA on these boards I believe?
  22. They're awesome! I can't comment on the palms though as I can't really make out what they should be like but those fingernails are spot on
  23. They're awesome! I can't comment on the palms though as I can't really make out what they should be like but those fingernails are spot on Like Mark says, make sure they fit a little tighter Get Karins plates and you're onto a winner
