  1. Im presuming I must have a similar problem with a Tron toy I did a guy in favour with on the 501st boards then Over 2 weeks now and hes not received it yet It was quite a lump too
  2. I can't see why not? Be shocked if it did I have the words 'I used to be a woman' written in lipstick inside my chest plate No one knows it's there lol
  3. What kind of dishwasher do you have Mine gets very upset if I leave too much grime on the plate Look at this http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Plasticine-Stains
  4. Get yourself some stuff called rub n buff You just rub this on a cloth or paint brush (little bit) and then just swipe over one or two corners. Thats the easy quick way I like this way also Silver pen on the corners Liquid rubber masquepen on corners over silver Spray over everything. YOu can see the raised rubber on the corners, yes? Rub off Dab clean exposed silver with black paint on a cloth. Also simple but a longer process
  5. Lol, why didn't you tell me this 2 weeks ago. I'd be 2 cans of primer, 2 cans of paint, 1 tub of filler better off That is a lovely helmet, fair play. I can second the fact these helmets are really easy to work with. I had a second off Joe (cracked cap) but filled it and sprayed over. Everything just sits together nice with too much thought. Mine's nowhere near as nice as the one above though
  6. Schweeet! Now why didn't my build go as smooth as this Any tips for painting the frown as I've had to start mine again lol!
  7. Several of us have tried throat mics with the RomFX Without getting geeky, the RomFX doesn't match very well with certain mics Something like a throat mic needs a little pre amp to boost it's signal into the RomFX
  8. Anyone else notice the soles of their boots Gum coloured
  9. Cheers Joe
  10. we left off I've sprayed and sanded this about 6 times. Here's the final result It's important to be patient when spraying things (I'm not and always tend to spray too much on) I found a good tip today. When you spray something don't point the can at the object. Instead swipe your way onto your object so it goes on smoothly I use fairy liquid and warm water to sand each coat with 800/1000 grit paper nie and smooth. I found that 'listening' to the sound of the sanding helps you know when it's smooth The tone changes when you get there Now for the detail Draw around the vocoder section with a black pen Take your time to paint the piece carefully meeting the border you've drawn. A wide nib would be better than my choice Next the mouth.. Same idea Another little tip, add some duct tape around the inside of your lid to stop it cracking Cut away with a scalpel . this provides some reinforcement to a delicate area Painted up with a marker pen...for now This leaves a good outline yes but I think it looks oily (that purplish rainbow-like sheen with oil) Not to worry as we can now paint over this frown with black paint. Not sure if I should matt or gloss....?
  11. That site looks like it's under some kind of legal eye Good idea in the torrents but if someone can find the original that would be great
  12. Oooh Ill look now
  13. Ah cheers dude. I've managed to find a few yes but they're all region 1. I'm region 2 in the UK and some of my DVD players won't play ball. Especially my mac Any condition would be great please sir If you can only get region 1 then that's cool. I'll have to change my DVD drive, burn them, then reset my drive John
  14. Hello! Have any of you fine US dwelling gentry ever heard of a TV show called Scare Tactics? It's on Syfy I think It's a hidden camera TV show whereby they use a TV studio budget and actors etc to scare the living bejesus out of you in different odd situations all on film for our amusement. Usually your friend will set you up and sometimes they twist it and end up setting the initial friend up lol Great TV Here's an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMvhXZLjxqk One of my favourite episodes 1st series was hosted by Shannen Doherty and left through the 2nd then by Stephen Baldwin. It's now i it's 4th series! I have the 1st series on DVD but want the other series but can't find it over here in the UK. If any of you guys pop into a store and see it, or have a copy etc, please let me know. Jedi Mind trick..... You serve John Danter well, and you will be rewarded Many thanks if someone can help John

  19. Once or twice Mark. This is aimed at newcomers and also all the new armours, which aren't all on the lovely site mate. Plus some of those pics on there are out of date. It's such a bad idea Mark, it's already in progress, look. Lol. Quick Mark, tell them it's a bad idea and just to visit that website instead. 20. @ Noel, if it is in the works, great I'm not the only awesome thinking machine around these parts then lol
  21. That's my point Billy. I've seen the build threads yes, and they're helpful, but a gallery of a completed suit in one click would be beneficial to everyone....? As for the derivates, yeah that would be a tough one
  22. Forgive me if this is already up an running here already, but do we have a gallery of the different TK suit s out there today? If not a past and cleared example of a well known suit can be posted up with a clear description of what it is Very useful for any member let alone new members wishing to make a choice Does this exist? A long time ago you could identify a TK easily, as there were several makes, now there are loads and it's hard to keep up John
  23. Here it is with one lick of paint
  24. Very difficult to get these bugger right Nice job I try not to bother too much anymore, lol. Most of the film lids weren't amazing either.
  25. you cheeky..... Just need to trim more eye socket out, spray a few more coats of appliance white, add the decals then find some rubber trim and mic tips It's been fun @ Joe, if anyone asks you, I found that bathroom sealant a really simple way to add the ears mate. I put less in for the second one, just along the inside of the ear, and bingo
