  1. Hi Zachary, thank you for your patience and I apologize again for taking so long to get back to you. You have done a great job on the corrections that we asked for but I am going to need just a bit more work on the abdomen button panels. The paint should be smooth and yours is still textured. I suspect you will need to sand everything smooth and then just apply thin coats and slowly build the paint up. The size of the buttons is much better now. References On the new photos, your posterior plate is flaring out at the front right corner. You may need to add some strapping there to keep it in place, or as many have done previously, secure it with a V tab clip. References With respect to the overall suit up, we are seeing quite a bit of wrinkling in the undersuit between the thighs and the posterior plate and at the elbows in the back. When dressing for the next set of photos, please make sure that the undersuit is pulled tight over these areas. References For you thighs, they are sitting a bit too low in the latest suit up and the strapping should be adjusted slightly to pull them up a bit. References
  2. Welcome Jake and congratulations. Enjoy your first troop.
  3. Welcome David. I look forward to following your build. Please ask any questions you may have. We are here to help you.
  4. My apologies Zachary, this completely fell off of my radar. I will be with you as soon as possible.
  5. Welcome Robert. I look forward to following your build.
  6. Hi Will, Welcome to FISD. You have some great advice above. Whatever route you choose to go, we will be here to help you on your journey.
  7. Welcome Dorian. Looking good
  8. Hello Wolfgang. the coverstrips on the outside need to be perfectly flat and of a certain thickness. Usually the portions that are cut off, will be thinner from the vacuforming process as well as not flat. Since the inner joining strips are not seen, you could definitely use them on the inside, but I would recommend fresh un-formed ABS for the outer cover strips.
  9. Hi Rachel, and thank you for your Centurion application! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Centurion. Congratulations! You have done an excellent job on making the corrections that were requested and can wear your armor with pride. I think you may have set a new speed record for the faster back to back applications / approvals.
  10. @Spadille wow. That was fast. I will try to take a look at the armour in the next day or so. Good job.
  11. Hi Dorian, We typically use imgur for posting photos as the server has very limited storage space. Use the direct link for the photo and paste it into your post and the photo will be tehre I don't think that there was another method of securing the shoulder bells on screen. When fully kitted up, many troopers have very limited range of motion in their arms.
  12. Hi Rachel, and thank you for your EIB application! You did an amazing job of making the requested corrections. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Helmet: For the brow trim on your helmet, it is sitting a bit low as was seen on the hero helmets. The stunt helmets typically had a slightly higher brow. You may want to adjust this for a more screen accurate look. References Your helmet is also sitting a bit high on your head. Typically, this can be corrected by removing some of the padding in the top of the helmet. It will also help with visibility some as well. References Arms: For a more screen accurate look, it would be recommended to try and match the space between the biceps and forearm armor pieces with the distance between the forearms and hand plates. You could likely achieve this by simply shortening the strapping between the shoulder bell and biceps pieces top bring the biceps and forearms up slightly to increase the gap at the wrist. References *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Shoulder Armor: We would like to see your shoulder armour brought in a bit closer to the shoulder bridges for a more screen accurate look. References Forearms: There appears to be a small amount of return edge in a few spots on your forearms. These will need to be removed for Centurion Level approval. This should be a quick sanding session. CRL L3: No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. References Abdominal Armor: For level 3 approval, we will need you to close up the gap between your abdomen and kidney armor on the left side. Also ensure when dressing that the rivets line up between the 2 armor pieces as well. This should be a fairly simple strapping adjustment. CRL L3: Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top. References Belt: Your belt will need to sit a bit higher for centurion level approval. The top of the ABS belt should sit at the bottom of the lowest button on the abdominal control panels. A slight adjustment to the velcro you already have in place should assist the belt to sit in the correct position. CRL L3: The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels. References Blaster: Your blaster has some weathering on the T tracks and the grip. It will need to be removed for level 3 approval. A bit of mineral spirits to carefully wipe down the T tracks and a bit of frst paint on the grip should solve the issue. CRL L3: The blaster may have minor weathering or base metal exposure however, T-tracks and grips shall be of a black plastic appearance with no silver/metallic weathering allowed. References
  13. Hi Rachel, Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your costume. You are so close to EIB approval, but we will need a few fixes before we can move forward. Hopefully these wont be too tough and we will have that EIB badge on your profile in no time. Lets start at the top and work our way down; Helmet: Your helmet looks great but we would like to see your tube stripe paint job a bit sharper. Many of the stripes are rough at the edges and are not even in thickness. The edges of the stripes can be cleaned using a toothpick dipped in mineral spirits or varsol. These will not harm the ABS. PLEASE MAKE SORE NOT TO USE ACETONE AS IT WILL DAMAGE THE ABS. If using a stencil, a trick that can be used is to use white as the first coat. This way if there is any bleed under the masking, it will be white and not blue. Hopefully this should be a pretty quick painting session. CRL L2: Traps/tears and tube stripes shall have the correct ANH TK details. References Thermal Detonator: The screws on your thermal detonator appear to be the correct style but are a little large compared with those seen on screen references. We will need a slightly small;er screw head to move forward with your EIB approval. References Posterior Plate: The Snaps on your posterior plate appear to be painted white. These should be left silver. This should be an easy fix with a bit of varsol or mineral spirits (DO NOT USE ACETONE AS IT WILL RUIN YOUR ARMOR). CRL L2: Snaps are silver in color with the bottom of the snap facing outward and are not painted. References We look forward to welcoming you to EIB status soon. Please let us know if you have any questions.
  14. Welcome Noah. I look forward to following your journey
  15. Thanks for the updates. I will take a look at them soon. The 2 new photos you posted are not showing up for me.
  16. Hi Rachel @Spadille, Thanks for getting the new photos, If possible, could you please post a new one of the forearm openings - yours is a bit too much to the side, we would like to see straight down the armour piece from the wrist side, similar to the photo below. Thank you.
  17. @Spadille Thank you Rachel. We have put your application in the queue and will be with you as soon as possible.
  18. Welcome back.
  19. Yep. I do. I also have a duck with a TK helmet on it (actually a 3D print of @Nairy’s helmet)
  20. Welcome Aaron
