@Trooper1972 Hi Graeme, we were worried that you would have issues seeing the images. You could try using a VPN like https://protonvpn.com/?ref=pme_lp_b2c_proton_submenu It is free and apparently works well. With respect to the forearm positioning, yes, we would like a new photo in full kit. -
Hello Jonathan and welcome.

Hi Graeme, Thank you for your EIB application. Your armour looks great and you are very close to Expert Infantry approval. We will just need a couple fixes before we can go ahead and approve you. Forearm Armour Your forearms are sitting a bit high creating a large gap between the lower end of the forearm and the hand guard. For a more screen accurate look, the distance between the biceps and forearm should be the same as the distance between the forearm and the hand guard. This will likely just require a slight strapping modification. Alternatively, the entire biceps and forearm pieces may be lowered to reduce the gap at the wrist. References Thermal Detonator The control panel on your thermal detonator should be facing straight back, yours has a slight upward tilt to it. This can be corrected by slightly opening up the curve on the bracket to "roll" the thermal detonator downward slightly. References -

@Trooper1972 One more thing we will need before starting the approval process. Could you please add photos of the back of your thermal detonator showing the screws as well as a photo of your abdomen button panels similar to what we have below? Thanks -

Hi Angie, and thank you for your centurion application! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Centurion. Congratulations Angie, your armour looks great! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Helmet with respect to the ear alignment, ideally we want to see the ear screws line up with the back of the traps. As different helmets may or may not allow this to be achieved due to their design, it is not required for centurion approval but is recommended for a more screen accurate look. Your left ear alignment is perfect but the right ear could be rotated clockwise a bit. CRL L3: Ideally, the placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them. References Abdominal Armour This is more of a dressing issue in that the top of your kidney armour is not aligning with the top of the adjoining abdominal armour. Please take care when dressing to ensure these are aligned properly. We can also see a small gap on the right side but this concurs with a slight overlap on the left side. If this is a consistent problem, it can be corrected with locking tabs or strapping adjustments. CRL L3: Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top. References Shin Armour Again, just a dressing issue with the closure on your right shin. The tops of the closure should be aligned. References -
If I recall correctly, the denuo novo FOTK will come with a connection at the shoulder of the yoke. There is no seam allowed here, so it would need to be modified to be approved. As with Glen though, I have not seen a ready to wear kit. There could also be other areas that would need to be fixed. my advice on which kit to go with is pick the one that means more to you. You may accumulate more kits down the road but your first will always be the most special. being a member of both spec ops and FISD, both detachment are full of great people who will be very helpful along your journey.

@Stardust665 Hi again, Thanks for getting the new photos uploaded. Looks like we need just one more photo of the right side of the abdomen armour showing the Han snap. We are looking for something like this If you are okay with it, an action photo for our social media post would be great as well. -

From your last post, being in Missouri, you would fall under the 70th explorers. https://www.70thexplorers.com you could try reaching out to their CO or GMl at [email protected] [email protected]

Welcome Alex, RS propmasters is a great choice for armour. To say an armour is 501st approved however is not possible. Many of our members proudly wear the RS suits as they are very accurate to what was used on screen. Approval however does not solely rely on accuracy. The armour must also be fitted to you properly. For some of us more robust stormtroopers, theRS suit would be a challenge to wear as it fits fairly small compared to others as it was cast from original suits where the actors were 5'10" and about 150 pounds. Ultimately, it will be up to the GML of the 70th explorers garrison if the costume is approved. Glen's link above is a great place to start your journey.

TK-15401 Requesting ANH EIB Status (WTF) (1094)
Doggydoc replied to larryebaum's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hi Larry, and thank you for your patience while we looked over your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. You have done a great job completing the requested modifications. Congratulations! Helmet The angle of your ears is a bit too straight up and down. Ideally, the line of the screws should follow the back of the trap above the ear. As different helmet manufacturers vary the shape and position of the ears, it may not be possible to get this exactly as was seen on screen. This is merely a recommendation if you are looking to be more screen accurate. References Thermal Detonator When dressing, please ensure that the thermal detonator is pushed all the way down on the belt. Yours appears to be sitting a bit high on the photos. References Shin Armour Please take care when dressing that your shin armour is properly closed in the back so that no velcro is showing. References *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Shoulder Armour For centurion approval, we would like to see your shoulder bells brought in a bit closer to your shoulder straps to minimize the gap. This can be achieved by shortening the strapping securing the shoulder bells. CRL L3: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates. References Forearms We will need a few minutes of sanding work on one of your forearms where there is still a little bit of return edge. CRL L3: No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. References It also appears that your forarms are a bit too large. For level 3 approval, we would like to see the size reduced slightly to give a more fitted look to the armour. References Hand Plates For level 3 approval, you will need to switch to latex or silicone hand plates and secure them without an elastic. CRL L3: Hand guards shall be latex or latex-like, solid white or painted white, and affixed to rubber gloves with no visible strapping or stitching. References Abdomen Armour Unfortunately, you trimmed your large ab plate base off, there should be a flat square plate under the raised rounded one. Also, your small ab plate could be trimmed down slightly. CRL L3: Plate does not overlap the edges of this area and shall show a definite straight cut edge around all sides. References If adding shims to the gap between the abdominal plate and kidney plate, please ensure that the gap is reduced to nothing for centurion approval. CRL L3: Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top. References Belt Your right belt box is position perfectly but the left one will need to come back a touch. A drop of E-6000 between the elastic and the back of the canvas belt can help to keep the boxes positioned correctly. CRL L3: Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box References We will also need you to trim a bit of the hard plastic ammo belt to correctly align the edge of the 45 degree angles with the edge of the canvas belt. CRL L3: The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. References Thighs It looks like you have some backing in the gap at the bottom of the right thigh but it is not visible on the left one. Please ensure thath if you are applying for centurion approval, these gaps are filled. CRL L3: Lower thigh ridge joins (front and rear) shall butt-up flush against each other. Any gaps must be backed with ABS or filled as not to be noticeable References
